They don't, but it's not a bad idea considering cams will basically hurt your low end power to improve your high rpm power, the steeper gears will help get you out of the low RPM when you launch. I would say that a boss, gt350, or cobra jet manifold is more of a requirement than gears.
Because the cams are going to gut your low and midrange torque... This setup is only for street racers doing 60mph roll starts and for road racers on corners with long sweepers they would aalso be awesome in a drag racing setup as long as you also use nitrous
never cam a coyote.... it's not worth the money spent. look up power motive auto medias review of a cammed coyote, singular torque number and 20 hp with low-end losses.
Nick Mahramus depend on supporting mods and stage of cams as well...you can see great gains from them with great tuning...im not justifying the price of them tho buddy..of course they can always be cheaper bro...i find they are priced to high currently but check out my vids with right setup you can benefit greatly....i was making 432rwhp with full bolt-ons cobra jet equipped coyote...i added stage 3 cams and and ported my manifold 2 years ago and added torque converter(auto car)...car made 518rwhp 414rwtrq with those mods...next up is ported cylinder heads...so try it before you nock it...if you want a nasty all motor build..or you can do like most coyote owners an boost it for 7-12k an be done with it
Nick, hate to disappoint ya but I picked up a solid 40whp and 11ish wtq with my cams. If you're worried about low end, run a ported Cobra Jet setup and make sure you DON'T run the limiters, or mix and match and run stage 1/stage 3.
Matthew Gray just being honest man...look up l&m camshaft for coyote...they just the 2 intakes cams you need to change with tremendous gains bro...you can leave your 2 exhaust cams...with l&m cams you have no torque loss what so ever....if it was made when i cammed my 5.0 i would have went with that brand...shaun over at aed help develop those cams...currently best out for coyotes..
After all that, no dyno, no exhaust clip.. nothing. Hell yeah brother
I would have liked to see in this clip the Dyno comparison but, that would have been too much to ask huh? lol
Maybe I should volunteer my 14 GT for 'testing' purposes??? :) -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com do your car justin..you got headers and cobra jet setup..all you missing is the cams...you should make 480+rwhp
AmericanMuscle.com Excellent idea!!!
@@americanmuscle still waiting! Haha
@@tommydoepel6580 same
The L&M engines intake only cams for these cars are a cheaper alternative that do not produce valve float at high RPM
and they dont affect low rpm power at all
Does this fit on a 2014 V6 Mustang?
I know you said it’s not going to have a deep lobe sound but will the phaser give me the lobe sound?
Why does it require steeper gears?

Does this fit a f150 ? 2013 coyote 5.0?
Yes to the 2013 5.0 Coyote if you're talking about the Mustang GT within the years of 2011-2014, but not sure about the f150.
Dyno number please with a CJ setup Justin do yours
I'd love to! I'm still trying to find the right person to bribe here... -Justin
