@ Hi 👋 LUV your interest in our Korean language🙏. I think one good place to start is downloading one of those language apps. Then start watching Korea movies and dramas so you can familiarize yourself with the ‘sounds’ of our language.
Hi 👋 Many Korean’s comprehension of English is pretty advanced, especially among the younger and college graduate generations. But many put too much emphasis on ‘sounding like a fluent English speaker with perfect enunciation’ which self-depreciates them from speaking in English. They are so self-conscious of the native tongue accent when speaking in English, which is really unfortunate. So many Korean can read and write better than the average American. All my cousins in Korea can read and write fluently in English, but only a few will speak in English.
