I am Italian + Thai I make pesto with both thai and Italian basil and i LOVE cashew in my pesto. Thai basil has such an amazing taste for pesto and it is cheaper than Italian or sweet basil.
I have to say: you are my noodle queen Marion. I love the passion and creativity in your recipe. Most of all, as an Asian, I admire them. Thank you and keep up your good work. Love you

The flavor and aroma of Genoese Basil is just extraordinary and by comparison what we get here in the USA is bland. So we planted our own Genoese Basil 🌿 in our garden ! Pine nuts “pignoli” are also delicious in this recipe as is Ligurian EVOO ! Reggiano Parmigiano , Salt & Pepper QB complete this classic Ligurian dish. Believe Me, absolutely no need for conFusion here. I do enjoy your show and some of your recipes Marion.
She isn't fixing it-- just coming up with something else! Which is what most fusions are tbh, because it's always nice to try something new and see if something might work better or adhere to our tastes more

Marion I LOVE your videos. This is a fantastic and simple pesto recipe! I topped this with pan seared bay scallops and a light dusting of shaved pecorino. It was delish 😋.
Don't forget to make extra pesto, so you can use it in sandwiches and as a marinade :) I helped the old Italian woman next door with gardening, and she paid me by teaching me how to make real pesto (this is in Australia, and of course everyone has an Italian neighbour here). I always use it to add a kick to sandwiches.

That looks SO good. Have to use non dairy parmesan sub due to allergies but definitely going to make it. Thanks for the idea of using Cashew instead of Pine Nuts. Pine Nuts just aren't in the budget.
I cooked seafood linguini using home made yellow curry gravy ( used lemon grass, galangal dash of fish sauce too) it was brilliant!!!!! Thanks to you, I was inspired by the Asian fusion tuna pasta you cooked. I improvised and didn’t care to take the risk. My wife just loved it!!!!
I have only been able to get hold of Thai basil a few times (I am not a good gardener :( ) but it is such a distinct and different flavour. Will try this recipe. Thanks x
I actually made something like this the other day. I accidentally picked up Thai basil instead of Italian basil and worked out just as good. I even add birds eye chilli at the end for a spicy kick.
