When you installed the RS3 Front grill, does it touches the black plastic with the protection for the front hood airbag ?
I installed my RS3 Grill last weekend, and had to remove the plastic protection, and cut out somme inches from the black thing that holds the airbag "pipe"...

So I decided to use anodized self tapping screws instead of the bolts. Saves a hell of a lot of hassle of removing bumper and or under tray. You need to use 4.8mm x 32mm for the tapping screws. Put a few of those in and the thing won’t go anywhere

No need the tapping screws bite really well. Just get an electric screw driver or your hand will suffer.

Also the downside to bolting is if you want to remove or replace it is a hassle. I promise those tapping screws will not budge when they’re in.
Don’t forget washers to reduce stress on the plastic

With the splitter came some nuts & bolts so i used the drill to make the holes and the rest was straight forward.👌😎
I have an 8p A3 2006 just wondering if installing a splitter would be the same process as this.
I haven't put one on a 8p before but i'm pretty much sure it would be the same straight forward install process.
How did you do the two bolts where the bars are? That part of the bumper looks really thin… is it possible to do it without taking the bumper off? Tnx 😁
It can be done without the bumper being off but the car has to be slightly lifted up from the ground..We used two thick planks of wood on each side under the front tyres which allowed us to do what we needed to do...😎👊🔧

And… i would like to know, were the two bolts in the middle where the bars are on the splitter, harder to put on vs the other bolts? Did you have to use self tapers or did you use the given bolts

@@RcPikiDu On the side skirts I used the self tappers which they supplied and for the front splitter I used the nuts & bolts they supplied...It was a piece of cake to fit

Hi mate i've had no issues with the splitter going over humps or catching onto anything it fits perfect. my car has not been lowered its on stock suspension so if you have the same set up you will be fine..😎👍

Look great!!! Is possible to remove the spleeter from the outside or you should remove the bumper first?
It depends how you install the splitter in my video I took off the bumper and installed the splitter to make sure it is secured in properly because the last thing you want is it to blow off when you are driving fast..😎👍😉

How about the rear diffuser from maxton?
No the rear diffuser is stock just sprayed gloss black.

Hi, is it possible to put the frontlip on without taking off the bumper? I have a car lift, so working underneath is no Problem. I just don't want to take off the bumper because i hate Audi's dumb bolt positions.
Hey If you have a car lift all you gotta do is remove the under tray and you should be good to fit it that way without removing the bumper.. 😎👊👍

@@rakeemfarooq My bro I'm not gonna lie I was a bit sceptical at 1st before i purchased it for the same reason (it will only fit a saloon Audi) but the splitter looked to sexy so I copped it and it fitted...there are no limits when it comes to car modifications...if you wanna see close up pics of mine drop me your email il send them over to you...😎👊💯

@@emojicarmods4924 are you 100% sure as I contacted Maxton and they said that the v.3 splitter will not fit the sportback bumper as the saloon is different
@@jasonproudlock707 I can guarantee this splitter will fit A3/S3/Rs3 sports back or Saloon trust me it will fit....My S3 is living proof that it will fit nearly a year on the car and still firm & study...Are you looking to buy on?
