- I know a lot of people wanted to see this, so here it is. My very own customised Maxton Design RS3 Rear Diffuser. What a difference it makes. I would highly recommend it, and it's not too hard tbh.

We need your gf back on here. Y’all are good vibes 😆. Also need more of that mk2 in the garage
Legend! I know, waiting to see her myself 😄 DEFO going to get back on the channel! Yes, the MK2, once the weather picks up, hopefully next week, I can film it!
@@S3Ranj
You should add exhaust tip covers, it will make it look larger and cover the empty space around it.
@@immortalknight3968 getting a custom exhaust soon. 4 inch tips
Amazing man!!!! I was looking forward to see a video like that installing the rs3 diffuser from maxton design!! Thank you, I really appreciate it!
This was filmed a while back! Thanks for watching bro, the videos are going to get better and better! 👊🏽💪🏾
Going to do mine tomorrow. Awesome video! I'll be rewatching tomorrow while i do it. 😊
Thanks for the video man… been looking ages for my audi s3 hatch might do this diy one day
Thanks for posting this I've been looking at getting this diffuser for my S3 looks insane, car is sick BTW keep up the content and you will soon be at 1k subs 👍
Thanks mate. Yes, hopefully! 👊🏽
You will definitely hit 1k soon lovely car BTW I have a white S3 8v FL so it's nice watching others do mods that I might want to do lol so when I come to do them I know what to expect 😊
i love it, it looks amazing!!
❤❤
perfect when you compere stock and maxton, thx for that
I have been looking for a diffuser for my FL S3 sportback as well as no1 seems to be doing it. Looking forward to this video.
Hope it helps
Another good mod 💪🏽
Bro ❤💪🏾
Ranj is the only guy in lockdown that still looks 💯 without a cut , lucky .... 😂 . Content is sick . 🙌🏻
Haha you are a legend bro! Thanks appreciate it 👊🏽
Your link doesn’t work anymore! Do you have a fresh link available? Thinking of doing this to my s3
This would fit with no trimming on an 8V.5 S3 sedan correct? I'm looking to fit an RS3 diffuser and do the RS3 tips as well.
That will not, as the sedan bumper is different.
do you know if this fits an A3 S Line. wanna get a custom dual exit with 4 inch tips
If facelift 8v, then yes. All bumpers from 8V range, Sline onwards are the same from the rear only.
Potrebbe andare su una a3 sportback del 2017 ??
Did this on my S3 seen you in the FB groups harry helped but luckily I had it on a ramp for the job and way easier on the ramp, no broken clips and managed to get stock diffuser off in 20 mins
Yeah, he helped me with a bolt location, and how to get it off. Eventually, just playing around it did the trick. It was decent, but would have been easier on a ramp. If it wasn't cold, I would have loved it!
Was this the AUDI - S3 8V / A3 8V S-LINE - FACELIFT - REAR VALANCE - V2 off maxton’s site? Or was it the one for the rs3?
The RS3 one
Hey man will it fit 2016 s3 hatch with same custom work ? Thanks
If a facelift, yes.
so as long as i buy an RS3 back box it should be a straight fit? Wouldn't trust myself with cutting it lol
If you have the original RS3 8V FL backbox on your RS3 8V FL, yep will fit perfectly! If you get bigger tail pipes in the future, will need to cut accordingly!
How did you secure the top tabs across the top of diffuser
without removing the bumper ..
I just screwed in the bottom, as I always knew it was a temporary thing really. I've got a new diffuser coming in, and I'll take the bumper off to secure top tabs.
@@S3Ranj what diffuser you going for this time
Ive just got a reiger one for mine
Nice one, looks great!
Thanks!
how big are the shark fins compared to the OEM ones?
Much bigger! Like day/night
How comes you used the RS3 diffuser over the one made for the S3? Both diffusers look pretty similar from maxton but would of meant no cutting right?
Maxton only sell the rear diffusers for the S3 Saloon at the minute. The S3 Saloon has a different rear bumper to the S3 sportback. It fits fine, the only issue is those stupid s3 exhausts. Even if I had an RS3, I'd still need to cut it, if I was to ever get twin 4inch tailpipes etc.
@@S3Ranj ahhh I see, I've been looking at the maxton diffuser for my S3, I had no it only fits the saloon 😂 glad I watched the vid 👍🏻
Is there only two screws ? Holding the old one in ? I seen some more but not sure if it’s part of it
Hmm, I'm sure there are more than 2 screws. I can't remember, I did it ages ago! What does it show in the video, 2 torn screws?
@@S3Ranj all done cheers thank you
🔥🔥🔥
Friend this diffuser fit in rear bumper audi A3 s line ?
Techincally yes. You will just have empty exhausts on one side, as the A3 S line, only has 2 exhausts on one side.
Cars looks sick. Question, if I bought this diffuser for a facelift RS3 would I need to do any cutting or is it just a straight swap for standard RS3 diffuser?
Thanks mate. No, no cutting. This is meant for a RS3 Facelift. Will fit an RS3 8V Facelift straight bang on. I'm taking mine off soon!
bobby on the tools :D
hey, does this also work with pre-facelift?
This particular one wouldn't no, sorry!
would it fit a audi a3 with a dual exhaust?
Yes..so an S3 backbox. Has to be a FL s line bumper.
The S3 bumper and Rs3 bumper ar the same??
I can only speak for the 8V facelift sportback (like mine) - A3 (SLINE ONLY), S3, and RS3 all share the same rear bumper. Differs by diffuser though - that's what makes them their own.
@@S3Ranj perfect. You gave me the perfect reply. I have the a3 s line one and thinking going for rs diffuser
i want to retrofit a s3 8v rear diffuser to the a3 sline 8p i got, dont know if it works dont wanna buy it if it doesnt..
It won't fit an 8P , sadly!
@@S3Ranj any reccomendations for one that fits with dual exit?
Will the diffuser fit the 3dr a3 8v ? Thanks
Facelift, yes.
Will the rs3 diffuser fit on pfl sedan as well?
So it’s a facelift diffuser from rs3?
I’m keen to get one on my pfl sedan would it work?
Easy bro. Correct, it's a RS3 8V Facelift Sportback rear diffuser. It won't work on the pre facelift. The bumper on the pre facelift is different I think, and therefore the diffuser fitment is different. Also, I'm sure the sedan from the rear end is totally different.
Next time try heating up the bumper where the clips are ,it helps
Will do! Cheers
Do you need to cut it?
This 1 yes. But I think the new maxton ones, you don't!
Is the cutting necessary because its for the RS3? Thanks!
Correct. It's not the body that's the issue. It's because it's designed for the RS3 exhaust
Sorry in advance if the music is a little loud! Forgot to turn it down! 😬
Clean before
New carbon one coming. Will be clean, like OE
Mate should of brought the correct diffuser instead of having to adapt it.. Plus there's big gap each side for exhaust from standard diffuser.. don't look good 👍
Not sure how many times I need to say this but, it was cheap, fun and not hard to do. Plus, the gap I'm not bothered about, I'm a getting a custom exhaust which will fill the VOID! No one needs to do any of the mods I do, but your entitled to your opinion. Thanks for watching btw 👍🏽😂
@@S3Ranj not cussing pal was just saying as it would of been easier. Relax I've just subscribed to your channel 👍

@@S3Ranj 👊
Looks great but what a shit job to fit should come ready to go won't be buying on for mine
It's because it wasn't designed for this car.

No not really, I did a decent job, and I'm happy with it.
Don’t be such a hater, the guy did a really job for his first time and his videos are extremely informative for s3 owners. Just raw footage that we need to see Without missing any steps. Keep it up man, well done bro👍
@@Ash-kx2je Means a lot, genuinely! LOVE positivity like this! Got loads more content coming. You are a legend! 👊🏽🙌🏽
@@S3Ranj no worries man! We appreciate your efforts and the time your taking out to make these videos. It’s just raw footage with any fancy editing and missing important steps out. Keep it up ranj 👍
@@S3Ranj i have an S3 as well and its nice to be able to follow YT videos like yours :), might attempt this later this year when i can renew my insurance which includes mods.
Wow butcher
If anyone is here looking for the way to do this, this is not the proper way to do this. There are several videos out that have been out for 3 plus years that show the proper way to do it. You will fuck your car up doing it this way.
Hahahahahahaha link one of them, please. Please make sure it's an Audi S3 8V Facelift Sportback too, please (:
@@S3Ranj or yeah yank on your bumper break clips jam panel poppers between the seams in hopes to force it out. Just do it that way guys.
@@no_lft_shft where are the videos, to show how to do it properly? Come on man, it's not that hard to c&p the link here. Please please please show me! 🙏🏼 😂😂😂😂😂😂 (thanks for the engagement btw)
For anyone who reads this thread. I'll say this, as I don't think Mr BP will reply with the link. It's not the first time I've broken a few clips, but, with regard to taking off this diffuser, I'd openly invite someone to show me how it's meant to be done. I can assure you, if it came off like butter, I'd have done it that way 😁
@@S3Ranj ruclips.net/video/WIAKThCT41A/видео.html
Took way too much off with thay dremel dude
First time, and don't I know it. Luckily, I don't have that anymore.
@@S3Ranj are all the diffusers like that mate? You would expect with a Maxton that it would be a perfect fit. I might just opt for the fin extentions on my OEM diffuser to play it safe 😆
@@beseeingyou9120 it's because this diffuser was made for the RS3 tailpipes. Maxton products in general are standard, not amazing. You can't beat OEM parts
