I'm going to install the same grill, so far you have no problems with the ACC? I also plan to use the same bracket and I use the ACC daily. thanks my friend
bro, im trying to install my relocation bracket... so the bracket does use the factory bracket at all? it seems like its too far forward if i do it that way. i suppose ill test fit it.. if you reply, ill get an email.
Hello, nice video! I have just a couple of questions. Did you disconnect both battery poles before start this process? And also, after repositioning the ACC radar with the new bracket, did you get any radar error warnings on the dashboard? thanks in advance
I just put the same grille on as in the video but didn’t move the Radar up as I did not have the bracket available yet. The radar sits too low but everything works fine. No acc errors in any form yet. It doesn’t look good but it does work without problems
Did you just attach the ACC further up? Because I didn't really understand that part. And unfortunately you can't see where they attach it. Impact beam taken from the RS ? Is the grill original or a replica ? What other parts did you buy in addition or were they taken from the old grill ? Kind regards from Germany
Hey, the ACC relocation bracket basically moves it up and in towards the car more. The grille is a replica as I don't think the genuine RS3 grille would bolt up to the s3 bumper. All other bits are from the old one. No other bits needed. For the badge I used the original but 3d printed a new holder.
So they have not used original parts ?? Also no cover for the impact beam in the car ? like this 8V5807217C or 8V5853949B.. Please google the serial numbers, they would really help me a lot.
Oh my bad. It comes with threaded mount holes and a numberplate backing plate that molds into the honeycomb pattern nicely. I just didn't want to show my plate.
hey hows it going. I'm doing the same install on the rs3 grill, i also bought the bracket. can you describe to me me how you lined up the bracket sensors and the bracket adapter? the hole on the original bracket lines up with the original sensor bracket? then how come the new bracket has 4 holes ? if it all lines up ? thx man
I can't remember exactly if there was a small bracket which is removed from the old sensor but basically the bracket relocates the sensor up and back. Once you have it apart you'll see how it mounts.
@@brendonv101 I have a 2018 Audi a3 , I bought the rs3 bumper it comes with a grill with acc from Joon Motorsport in USA Texas , I compared it to your rs3 grill , it looks similar. I’m just worried after spending 2k usd my Audi acc will be defective and I would need to revert back to my old bumper and spend more money to re calibrate and end up at the same spot when I started.
No as long as you disconnect the battery BEFORE removing the sensor then you're ok. If you don't then yes you'll get a code and have to get the ACC recalibrated.
Yes definitely. It won't fit without the bracket. Wait for it to arrive. Also, don't forget to disconnect battery before otherwise you'll get errors and will have to get it recalibrated. 💲💲💲💲
@@brendonv101🧐 What is that actually bracket do? just pushing actual sensor into car more? not raising sensor up? I just inspected my ACC senor again and seems bit different to yours as mine has just flat front surface and distance between sensor seems okay. However, I suspect that the sensor may sit lower that new RS3 grill.
Big change from your s13 mate! Well done!
Thanks mate. Just a small upgrade 😂 enjoying it so far.

Hey mate, no haven't had any dramas with the ACC.

mine is a 2018 S3, maybe a bit different
From memory the bracket bolts from the back so it relocates it backwards not forward. I think you're bolting the bracket to the wrong side.

It might work for a little while but you'll probably get a Audi pre sense intermittent fault at some point.

@@paulherbig3436 yes I used the s3 one. You couldn't use all genuine rs3 components as the rs3 is slightly wider than the S3. Fenders included.
Hi Paul, habe einen Originalen 8V5853651S gekauft. Also ein RS3 Grill mit ACC. Hast du dein ACC erneut Kalibrieren müssen ?

No front license plate requirement in aussie-land? Jealous! Watched to the end to see how you mounted it 😓

If I move the radar up with the battery disconnected, do I still need to calibrate the radar?
Shouldn't have to no.

@@brendonv101 thx man, buy moving it up and back? by relocating the placement of the acc , did you get any errors in the dash ?
No, just disconnect battery first. Does your grille say you have to relocate it as some don't.

Where did you get the bracket? I installed mine but its misplaced, no issues but looks odd. Please help!!!
I got it off AliExpress. Just search Audi acc relocation bracket.
When you installed the bracket and drove the car, did any codes come up for the sensor or was it all good?
No as long as you disconnect the battery BEFORE removing the sensor then you're ok. If you don't then yes you'll get a code and have to get the ACC recalibrated.
How long did yhis take you to do?
Hey is this an Original RS3 Grill? Because i want to Build my S3 with A RS3 Grill and i got a Original Grill
No you have to buy a "RS3 style" grille to suit the year model of S3 you have. Just google s3 honeycomb grille and see what's available near you.
Have You Tested If The Original RS3 Grill Doesnt fit?
Do you actually need that bracket for ACC? I've read it isn't required.
Depends what grille you get. Some have a cutout big enough so you don't have to relocate it.
Where would you buy or get the bracket that need to go with the grill?
Search Audi s3 acc relocation bracket on AliExpress.
Hi mate, how you doing with RS3 grill? any issues with ACC?
Nope no issues at all. Just make sure you disconnect battery before moving/unplugging sensor otherwise you will get a fault.

The bracket moves the sensor up and back a fair amount.
how did u get it shipped to aus?
They offer international shipping.
