The next time you use squeeze bags, don't cut the tip; use onecfrom an empty bag. That way, you can re-seal the partial one and hopefully not stink up your storage spot.

Giving a shout out to All Dogs, I ordered the replacement breather couple of years ago and it didn't fit at all, something was wrong with it. They were on top of it and sent me a new one no questions asked. That fit perfectly. Real good company.

Did the breather mod on an Xterra. Must do for any Xterra, Frontier or Titan. Note that the breather thread on my vehicle was not an NPT. It is some weird European/English thread that is different. Caution so you don’t destroy the axel hole threads. For the differential, one of the cheap Amazon hand pump thingies works well. Differential fluid is super important especially if doing off roaring or towing. Check your differential fluid to make sure all is good.

Thanks, great video!!! A couple of quick questions :
-Why is there so much rust under the vehicle?
-What make/model was that drain pan?

Nice work as usual! I installed the All Dogs breather key last summer on my 2013 Pro4x. The original valve was corroded shut but my axle seals seem to have survived. I can't say the same for my rear pinion seal as I seem to have a leak. Great tip on the flex bags!

Yes, I had the same problem. Seized breather, intact axle seals, but a leaky pinion seal.

@@MaximumDIYGarage I imagine you replaced it yourself? I am a fulltime traveler with a Four Wheel Camper on my 2013 Pro4x. What do you think is a reasonable charge for a shop to replace the rear pinion (I have the replacement seal)?

I just did this breather mod to my 2010 nissan titan SE and used a 1/8 BSPT to 1/4 barb fitting since I couldn't find a fitting with a bigger barb size. I hope this helps people looking for the right 1/8 BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread (28 per inch)) fitting. Don't use 1/8 NPT bc the thread count (27 per inch) and design of the thread is different.

End of breather only needs to go as far up as you will drive and most do not drive in water that envelops the electronics. Also Offroadgorilla has a better kit for less money. Better in a choice of actually a good breather.

I have a 2016 frontier, 4.0. C200K rear end. A So. cal truck. Bought new. The passenger side seal leaked. The truck has 67,000 miles on it. Not abused or off roaded. Doesn't tow anything either. Kinda disappointing. I'll make my repair and switch the diff breather out. I've had toyota trucks mostly, never had that issue. I decided to get a new 2019 Toy 4x4 SX as a back up in 2019..

Cause they already have relocated breathers up in the engine compartments. No need to do anything.
