Thanks a million for being so willing and putting in all of the effort to share your methods with the rest of us! I sincerely hope that you're receiving financial compensation in some form, if not now, then very soon. Do you have a Patreon?

      @@KazplayVideos Awesome, thanks :) probably won't be able to start till August/September, finishing off my current build, getting everything ready to go, saving enough money to actually buy all the materials etc. but I'll let you know when I start. I'm also considering building it for my Year 12 major work in Visual Art, in which case I can't legally start till October anyway, but I will be able to do it in school time, and use the actually pretty decent workshops and tools they have...
      I'm so excited, I'm planning on making digi stilts (of Chaos Costumes' design), articulated tail and jaw, and creating a scaly undersuit (SKS Prop's Orc has given me some ideas for that one, as did your arakkoa feet)! And that's just the creature bits, I'm hoping to learn a bit of leatherworking between now and then so I can do realistic pouches and straps for my armor. Also I'll need to learn to sew lol. Your videos have been a great help though :D
      And wow sorry for that long-ass comment, I'm just super impatient to get going but I can't! So instead I just ramble to anyone that might listen lol.

    I can't thank you enough for these videos. They are invaluable! I had a question for a future video. How do you work out what parts of the foam need slanted cuts? Is it just a matter of looking where the foam bulges out (like his nose ridges) and pulls in (like his eye sockets)?

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  6 лет назад +1

      +Sarah Blakey that's a great question, I will go more into depth on that for sure. Short answer is that it's mostly a stylistic choice, but there are places that benefit and/or need it :)

    Amazing video, thank you so much. I can´t get the link you wrote about the foam L200? Perhaps it doesnt work in other countries ( I am in Europe)? IS 200 the grams of the weight?

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  Год назад +1

      Hello! Thanks for letting me know about the link, I fixed it. So L200 is more of a brand name, the generic name is cross linked polyethylene, maybe if you search for that in your country you can find it. The 200 part has to do with the density, so something to do with the weight. Though I'm not sure how they came to that number. There are other weights like L300 up to L600 and those increase in density/weight

    watched completely! it is ultra helpful! just one more question (dont know if u talk about it on another vid or something...) Which airbrush painting brand/kind are you using? Im planning to buy some for colouting fur too but not sure which ones are the correct :v i just love ur work u inspire me so much for doing some crazy creature in the future :´D

    • @KazplayVideos
      @KazplayVideos  6 лет назад

      I am using a brand of airbrush from Master. I have a dual action, gravity fed from them as well as a single action siphon fed one. I use both for different applications. I use regular craft acrylic paint that I water down for my paint. It's definitely the most cheap and basic system that I would like to invest in to get a better set, but it works well enough for beginners
