  • Goblin Valley has been on my list for a long time. I wish I would have visited sooner. It is a wonderful place to roam around in. There are many trails to walk here. I think it would be worth it to spend a few days in the area.
I mention in the video that I do not think the Goblin's Lair is a safe place. At the entrance there are stacks of boulders that look a bit precarious. I was not going to find out how stable they were by touching them. I think it would serve anyone visiting to steer clear and be careful not to dislodge anything, especially if you are below the boulders. It's a cool place but I think one should be very careful.

When all that was alive, it was a different planet. Literally. The old Earth that passed away. Beautiful video, thanks much!!

    Very cool geology,
Could be quite interesting at sunset with all those curious shapes.

Goblins Valley is a childhood favorite of mine. Every time I go I also make it a priority to go hike up Little Wild Horse Canyon. One off the best family friendly slot canyons you can do.

Dana Hollister - I have not done them but I know they are just past little wild horse. I'm hoping to do them in the next year. I've heard they are pretty cool

Such an amazing place but it sucks that you need to reserve spot even to get in after 10pm. you can't do any astrophotography if you don't have camping reservation.

When I saw the date you were there and then when you said that some Boy Scouts were above you in the Goblin's Lair, it made me wonder if you were there when the two scout leaders toppled one of the stones there. I looked it up and that happened in 2014, but reinforces what you were saying about being careful about the potential for falling rocks. Here's an article about the incident: www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2014/03/18/291201681/ex-scouts-who-toppled-ancient-rock-formations-reach-plea-deal
