@@FranchiseKicksI have over two hundred 10.0"s in my collection, but anything between 9.0--9.9 is legit. imo, Vintage comics look better USED, so I don't mind the low grades for older stuff

I've been watching maybe a month or so. I mostly do online auctions, but been thing about a new venture. I'm a disabled vet and it's all I really have that keeps me from going nuts. I'm in a wheelchair and cant walk so I'll definatly have to keep to what I can handle. Keep doin what your doin bro.

for comics you need to check auction house prices through speciality items auctions offline such as Sutherby's [spelling] or other major auction houses rather than just online only auctions

When I was a kid a friend of mine from Elementry school got me into comic books, and I can remember going to 7-11 and I think they were a dime. my brother stole them all from me when I was away. From trades, I had 1960's and 1970's stuff. My parents did nothing. I never thought they would be worth anything at the time. I am sure others here probably have similar stories. The same brother stole my coin collection I had and worked hard for in the late 1980's I had a lot of stuff from the early 1800s and mid-1800's I was about 21 in college when he did this and bought drugs with it. My mother passed away a ways back but she wished she had the comics she collected in the 1940's and 50's She said her mother threw them all out. I remember in the 1980's and 1990's seeing comic book stores and many of them I could rent VHS tapes of very old comic serials like Superman from the 1930's I don't remember anything else. Those stores are all gone now. Video Archades that were all over the place seems extinct. Just seeing you open the comics bring back childhood memories.
Clint, it is up to you. You can get more than your money or you can lose money with those 100 dollar boxes. As long as it does not hurt you financially enjoy them. I know you must work very hard for your money. Probably many many hours. You deserve to treat yourself to what you like and enjoy. My Dad had a business for over 40 years and worked 16 hour days or more. He did not retire until his early 70's when my Mother became very ill and only lived a couple more years.

To let you know both those comics even graded are valued at 40 to 45 bucks so you kinda got screwed out of 20 bucks

How much does it cost to have it graded? It really interesting and educational and that I don't know beans about grade scales. Glad you are doing this. As far as the graded comic books in the mystery boxes, it is pretty good for what you spent on it. I keep thinking the more you buy them the better chance you'll get a big hit! Good video!!
I havnt had stuff graded but i know the cost is a scale on depending on the worth of the book and the grading you get..i find it a bit of a scam that it isnt a flat fee no matter what the book is..the fact they charge you depending on what kind of grade you get seems a it shady to me always.

It hurt when you called a 7.0-8.5’s terrible grades. Sometimes that’s all people can afford. And some 7.0-8.5’s are worth more than your entire shoe collection… don’t pretend like you know anything about comics and what they entail. Some people spend their lives collecting comics and a 7.5 first appearance of their favorite superhero is the most valuable item they will own.

That bumps it up some notches ... a 9.6 goes for $130, but if a die-hard fan/collector of that specific genre and character wants it really really bad, he or she's gunna pay whatever you sell if for .. That's the beauty of getting those Mystery comics.. You can actually turn a profit if u know what's up, bro! 👍👍
NEVER go by the FMV of any websites, bcuz they don't get to dictate how much a person can sell their comics for. Sell it for what YOU THINK it's worth and the amonut of dollars it's going to take to make you let it go and part away from it ..

Cgc vs cbcs is.non relevant.. Also.a.8.5 man thing #1 is.a good.grade.. Annd.you shouldnt use ebay.for.valuing comics.. Use gocollect . com or. "My comic shop.. com .. But.never.ebay.. You will see prices all over the place on rbay.. If its.a.hot book it'll be.$500 dollars but.a.week later be.$20.
