- One and done for me with this company. I looked up all of these comics after this video and if I sold all of the comics on eBay they would only sell for AT MOST $48. I lost 50% of my money and got nothing but dollar box books. Huge disappointment and never again with this company. This is my honest review and MY 1st hand experience.

The problem is, you don't truly collect comics. You invest and speculate. Were the boxes amazing? No, but for your average comic READER/COLLECTOR these boxes were ok.

So it's a mystery box? You always say that mystery boxes are a gamble and you are more than likely not going to get a return of your money. Why bad mouth the company just because you didnt hit a top hit. Just stick to guaranteed value mystery boxes if you're going to give hate for not getting your values worth to just resale.

I find it odd, that when he buys those Funko mystery boxes with guaranteed value of 50%+ of the asking price, he still praises the company. Always says "you win some, you lose some". But damn straight trashed this company lol.

HARD FACTS!
This is how the majority of people will get mystery boxes, low value and like half back if that with a slim chance of something big. It's basically a lotto. I assume that's why Clint sticks to the same companies for his "mystery boxes" because the amount of times he 'hits' or 'scores' is very suspect and not the normal experience.
I remember one video him saying something along the lines of "these boxes are amazing I usually get at least double my money back in value" (can't remember if it was funko or comic) but that alone should raise an eyebrow that a lot of boxes he gets are loaded to drive sales
inmedx Yeah that was with Funko he said that. Then again, his sub count hasn’t budged since very much since he did that vid on the wolverine comic cover. He’s wholesome but that self-entitlement really showed hard in this vid. With any first time mystery box, you CAN’T expect to hit big right away RUclipsr or not. The worst mystery box he gets is the $500 civil war one. I’d laugh if the dirt that’s from the battlefields is actually from random landfills.
Even his ego makes a small appearance from time to time, very small though but it shows. Plus, the mild whining when a Funko in a hard stack isn’t worth over 100 along with the incessant tapping. Bragging is fine but seriously? It’s pretty petty & the long ass rambling b4 the unboxing 🙄😒. It feels like the fun factor with him is dying away. Like, I was happy when he hit 100k subs; that’s landmark for anyone. Now @ 255k subs, he feels boring & just cares about the numbers vs being a human being.
He used to be carefree vs now where he’s walking on eggshells. He still is carefree but it only shows when he’s doing a vid with his wife. Just cause you got a quarter million sub count doesn’t mean you’re above everyone else. Subs come & go; real family that’s forever until they die that is.

What most people don't realize is that these company's that make mystery boxes will send Clint a loaded up box for free because he is a RUclipsr just so they can lure in new buyers to purchase mystery boxes. I watched this guy open several boxes from new companys and he always gets big hits. Then he gets a box like this that isn't loaded up for him and he cries like a baby.

I think mystery boxes are basically a way for people to get rid of their overstock of variant covers.
I bought one a few months back and it was pretty much the same thing. 1 and done for sure. I am about done with the mystery boxes. I got enough bathroom reading material to get me through the pandemic.
Watching you open these reminded me I have probably 40 or so old Heavy Metal Magazines stored away in my file cabinet that I bought about ten years ago. Need to go through them 🙂

Going to be honest, I'm not one to use E Bay value, it's not a fair representation of the actual value. The item price can be inflated or deflated quire easily. It's irritating that people use it. But Hey each to there own.
He uses eBay's sold listings only. That seems fair what people are paying.

To me it's not an accurate gauge of the market, people put there own price on things, they expect you to pay. It screws the market up. But hey life goes on, I'll get of my high horse and let it go.

To be fair, no money guarantee was made and these are mystery boxes. I have never hit a grail much less on my first purchases. Mystery boxes are designed for the collectors more so than those who resell. As you always say, don’t buy mystery boxes unless you can afford to loose the money you spent.
And since the RUclips revenue covers the cost of boxes, we are basically paying for the freerolls.
Which I respect and completely understanding that by watching I choose to support that. But the reality is the loss is minimal in this case. In fact the video probably made more than the box will, and without the box, no video, so basically it WAS a profitable box lol
I dont know what shops you go to but the shops around me sell back issues for cover at least. the cover price is what its gonna be worth if its a "common" book. Dont get me wrong some shops have sales but ive never seen or heard of a shop sellin books less then cover all the time.
99% of comic shops have comics priced at $1 in long boxes just begging people to buy up the old inventory
Yeah, my local shops have boxes of 2-3 month old comics still at full cost. I get 20% off on everything because I'm a frequent customer, but otherwise, I don't see major discounts on books. Maybe my shops are just so busy they always sell through everything before they have to do heavy discounts to move old books.

I came here originally for the electronics pallets videos but have been enjoying some of the other videos you do too. Lately though, you do seem to come off as a baby when you aren’t dealt a good hand. A fairer review would have contained an admission that you understand that in order for some people to gain the great hits, a number of people have to accept the bad. It’s a lottery and you willingly spent that money on 3 separate packs with the hope of getting good hits so you could sell them for more. I get that side too. We all need to make money but you are starting to lose your humble side which is what kept me engaged initially.
I totally agree! Watching Wink open these even when he doesn’t hit big is still enjoyable. Clint’s attitude lately is just off putting.

Mainstream is a joke. I bought a golden duckie box which is basically a 30$ box with a slab added to it. The FMV on the slab was 29$ at a 9.8 when i received it. It's the only time I've ever complained on someone's fb page about comics. It was pathetic. Boxed heroes is the best 30$ box going right now. You won't get anything crazy but will be happy with every box you get.
They put "True Believers" $1 comic books in there...... wow. Straight garbage.

Just one of those is way better than the last 3 mystery comic boxes I've bought. Now I have over 250 comics from the 80's and 90's in bad condition that I don't know if I can sell to even get half my money back. All I want is newer comics but all I ever get is old crap.

I agree with The Planet of the nerd. The dude is always preaching about the risk you take in purchasing mystery boxes. He says " if you can't afford to lose money on mystery boxes then you shouldn't purchase them". So be loses money and drags the company through the mud basically calling them trash. I guess they didn't receive his email about how he's some "big RUclipser" and to make sure and send me a hit. About time he got a taste of reality.
Great titles, good stories, and a few minor keys. This is why I do not like watching people with no knowledge or true interest in comics try to piggyback a hobby for views. Not a fan of the obvious flipper.

Some of those Comics was good reads, i understand and appriciate reselling is your business but as a comic book fan, try and appreciate the comics as themselves, its a mystery box so they are not designed for resellers but for collectors. You sounded really unnecessarily salty in this video for no reason, they was £30 each not that bad. Love your videos usually and wishing you and your family best
