I uaed to drive a Canadian made M37 back in the 60's when I was a soldier. I bought one in 2005 and fixed it up for parades. I sold it in 2008 to the Niagara on the Lake Military Museum simply because it was too damn slow for the highway and I got tired of pulling over every mile to let the build up of vehicles bebind me to pass. Yours I would love. 🇨🇦

Great story 👍 you can always get another one lol. My customer had the same issue. He loves it but needed it a little more highway friendly. I cant wait to test drive it

Man I wish you would keep it all Mopar. I'll be watching the build as I have a sweet M37 as well. Feel free to share the build on our Dodge Power Wagon Owners '46-'80 page on Facebook. Even though its not a Power Wagon we love the Dodge Military Cohorts.

Looking forward to this build. Have an M 37 1953 myself and one of the things I would like to do is to change the gear ratio. My truck does 45 mph all day in the freeway, but as you can imaging not fast enough or safe to do that speed on the freeway. Any tips as to how to change the gear ratio and where to get the parts would be greatly appreciated. How difficult is to do that as well?

You 'll have to upgrade the brakes as well and tires , in the end it will be a m37 body on a completely different chassie

@@heartland96a we have new modern wheels on the way that bolt directly on and look like factory wheels but allow us more tire options for a more street friendly feel. Brakes are remaining stock for now

@@greasyboykustoms I understand your giving your customer what HE wants .
As a collector it ruins the original .

@@heartland96a agreed. But like you stated. Its what he wants. He is however helping those restoring originals by making the good parts we remove accessible for them to purchase and complete their projects. Like an organ donation of sorts haha.
