I could be tripping, but I just don't see much engagement from the tires of each rig which makes sense since the description says Explorer is only 2wd. But the Pathy seemed to be in 2wd to me.
Hell yes! 100% agree man I have a 2004 4 liter all-wheel drive Ford explorer and have been nothing but impressed with literally everything that thing does
@dannyzappala most explorers are rear wheel drive and have an option to then put the vehicle in 4x4 or low rise. I have a 94. unfortunately what the guy in this video didn't realize is that you have a 5,000 lb truck or more (mine is 5,300lbs) that he needed to start farther back from the hill have the momentum going and then climb it. if your too close to the hill and no momentum you wont make it. I hill climb and rock crawl with my explorer all the time. short distances never work unless you have the power between engine a torque converter (that needs to be built on) you wont make it. I hope you had fun with the gallons of gas I know you lost attempting that hill. looked like fun though.
944kiddo yes, i mounted it directly the the longitudinal rails via conduit clamps. i used 8 clamps and bolted them directly into the little slider things in the rails. total investment about $10 and it's super solid
Actually some 2wd explorers are great offroad my 2001 daily driver has a stock electronic rear diff lock, my cherokee didn't even come with that stock!!
i was thinking the same since im a welder/cnc operator but i have two broken legs and was just seeing if anybody sold one. i think im just going to add a front receiver and a winch basket for the time being.
i don't know about the explorer but the pathfinder is absolutely 4wd watch the whole video u can clearly see his cv axle up front did anyone ever think they were doing what they say in the tittle just messing around?
I have a Nissan Pathfinder 3.5 LE in the north of Mexico, it works very well, greetings from the North of Mexico
I used to mud my 2WD 1996 Explorer all the time. Man I really wanted a 4x4 so bad! haha.
Now I have one...the best!
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4!
I love the description in this video.
I had a 2 wheel F150 and did some incredible things with it in the snow. 2 wheel drive is fun, and impressed the pathfinder did all it did in 2 w.
The Pathfinder driver knows the R50 has 4WD, right? ...but then again, what's the fun in that!
I could be tripping, but I just don't see much engagement from the tires of each rig which makes sense since the description says Explorer is only 2wd. But the Pathy seemed to be in 2wd to me.
Hell yeah, that area looks like fun. Good video.
That's a sweet ass R50 Pathfinder
The best Ford Explorer to this day....v6 all wheel drive tho!!
Hell yes! 100% agree man I have a 2004 4 liter all-wheel drive Ford explorer and have been nothing but impressed with literally everything that thing does
I love my 99 Pathfinder... I wanna do this but we have had no rain all year lol.
Where did you get that bumper from?
i think some explorers have bad transfer cases and the 4wd doesn't put as much power to the front.
oh how i miss my explorer..
I miss my explorer
I had a 5.0 97. Ugly as fuck but fun too! I like the Nissan though. They still look good!
pues no sólo depende de si es 4x4 sino también del tipo de cauchos y la experiencia del conductor!
Doods, you can hear the Killdear screeching as you drive over their nests, LOL... Nice rack on the Pathy.
That r50 was shooting mud 👏👏

I don't know why I left it out but I said my 1997 Ford explorer
Nice rack on the Pathy. Would you mind telling me where you got it and if it would fit a '93?
Rola V-Tech
So you put the nissan 7s 4wd untill yu got to the top then took it out of 4wd? Lol miss having fun like this
yeah is this near houston???
Anyone know what kind of rack that is on the pathfinder? i have a 97 and would like to get a roof rack like that!
It's a Rola Vortex with the extension.
alexrex20 Thanks bro!
+944kiddo How does the ROLA Vortex attach to the roof so low? is it attached to the low stock side rails?
944kiddo yes, i mounted it directly the the longitudinal rails via conduit clamps. i used 8 clamps and bolted them directly into the little slider things in the rails. total investment about $10 and it's super solid
I've got a 2000 R50 Pathfinder. Would this rack be compatible?
Haha my explorer is 4x4 btw who buy a truck 2wd.
Giantsasquatch_GamingHD I have a 2wd explorer it hauls just don't go off road with it
I don't know what I was saying that was 3 years ago.
Some folks need the size. But not the awd,
Danny Zappala I had my 2001 1500 ram in places that some 4 wheel drives couldent get to in my friend group and it was 2 wheel drive
Es de que la paifander la sigan puesto con la explorer 2000 sport 4x4 con motor 5.0 de Viper

what was done to the white explorer?
fail, the cars are 4x4, the pathfinder is 4x4 and explorer 4x2
Brown wire alteration on the explorer?
Actually some 2wd explorers are great offroad my 2001 daily driver has a stock electronic rear diff lock, my cherokee didn't even come with that stock!!
That just gives explorers a bad name mine could get through that with ease;)
Derek & Motovader72.... do you guys know how to read the goddamn description?!
@NutStretcher Sorry, don't know where he got it. It's ARB though.
where can a guy get a winch bumper for a 98 pathfinder or do i have to build a custom 1
better to just fabricate one. better anyways becuase u can make it sit where u want
i was thinking the same since im a welder/cnc operator but i have two broken legs and was just seeing if anybody sold one. i think im just going to add a front receiver and a winch basket for the time being.
Why would you get a truck if your gunna get it two wheel drive? Just wondering
What size wheels on the pathfinder?
my 4.0 96 explorer has 2wd and 4 auto and 4 low???
why not?
Great video.
when you get your own 4x4 in your own video, you can drive it however you want.
The white explorer was in 2wd.
i don't know about the explorer but the pathfinder is absolutely 4wd watch the whole video u can clearly see his cv axle up front did anyone ever think they were doing what they say in the tittle just messing around?
Lloyd Chambers R50 Pathfinders were only available in 4x4 High/Low
@@joshualaw375 They also can be driven in 2WD & the LEs have an AWD mode with an open center diff
is that explorer 2wd?
LoL explorer only RWD? i had one 4x4 sport and its was awesome..
Where's this at?
NOTE the ford is not broke
Odds are the front driveshaft is no good in the explorer
You're a tool
+Derek Reim Or he is just to stupid to use 4 wheel drive.
or its a 2wd?
Vídeo muy movido..no lo pude terminar.. por favor vídeos quietos.
@njdeckinga1394 just a torsion twist and shackles is about it.
and i thought i was the only one stupid enough to take a 2wd explorer in mud....
Thumbs down for two wheel drive mudding and hillclimbing.....
what bumper is on the pathfinder?
+Dave Does Things it's an ARB bumper.
it looks good on there
Sweet!!!!
Both of my explorers are 4x4 wtf is this guy thinking
no the pathfinder is 4wd watch the whole video
you misspelled this title of this video. its Exploder, not Explorer ;)
LETS GO OFF ROADING WITH RWD!..................
Hov?o. Ohv?
0:04 -- not even center-locked.

Ford explorer XLT could do better than those pieces of crap and I've got a four-wheel drive
towing
Wow. fail Exploder
dude that nissan is weak u broke one end of your rack? on nothing!!!!!
Why even bother buying a truck/SUV that's not 4wd its just pointless
Christian Clausen to drive it dumb ass
Plus the Pathfinder had 4x4. He just didn't use it much.
Pathy has 4x4
تصوير زفت يصيب المشاهد بلعمى

Nissan is beat
You just can't afford one
