    Spot on--& thank you.
    I asked doctors *decades* ago why I was getting NIGHTLY leg cramps in hot weather. None of them knew what to advise. The leg cramps (then, years later, HAND cramps, & most of the symptoms that your video mentions) FINALLY woke me up to Potassium deficiency.
    Thanks for sharing this with the 98% of us who have Potassium deficiency.

      if and when I miss eating at least one banana 2 days in a row I do get leg cramps. I make sure that I eat 2 banana a day . one in the middle of the day and one after I take all my vitamins at night. Yes, I find that taking all my vitamins at night I have energy all day.

      having exactly the same problem: cramps, cramps day and night, hands legs and feet. Whenever I mentioned this to the family doctor, he only replied one word: magnesium. I have been taking this for years and it doesn't work. I spent a fortune on magnesium supplements and still have cramps. I don't even mention it to him anymore.
      I have to admit though that I don't eat a lot of meat or fresh fish - too expensive - so I'll stick to sardines and chicken now and then.
      And I'll be looking for potassium suplements that are affordable.

    Hi everyone, I just wanted to note. Bananas are POOR source of potassium. They have high levels of starches that deplete the potassium that they have, rendering them quite useless. Get your potassium from salad, meat and fish. I hope you found this video informative, all the best to you and your health journey. 💚

      I appreciate that you included recommendation to consult your physician. I feel it's a bit irresponsible for these health channels to encourage people to go rogue on their health care. Especially if a person literally has an active health issue or take meds. They certainly should be apprised by their medical doctor of any changes in diet & nutrition. Getting potassium from real food sources is best of course. I also appreciate you recommendation whole foods as the nutritional source.
      Thank you for being responsible with nutritional information.

      So Lisinopril is given as a treatment for high blood pressure, which depletes potassium and magnesium, and in turn causes high blood pressure. Nice. I read somewhere that the education for a doctor includes a brief overview of medications. Doctors rely on pharmaceutical sales representatives to educate them on medication uses and side effects. The pharmaceutical companies rely on the doctors to prescribe their products and keep the source of revenue flowing. It’s a vicious cycle and the patient is paying the price.

    • @RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies
      @RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies  2 месяца назад +5

      Bananas are not a good source of potassium unfortunately. Because they contain a lot of natural sugar, this uses up the potassium when you eat it. So you don't really get the benefits. Potatoes are better, but again, very starchy and use up the potassium when metabolising it. The best way to get potassium & magnesium is by eating none-starchy leafy green vegetables (cruciferous mostly) and there is a good amount in salmon. 💚

I ve tried to stop work out for a few months and the symptoms were not present..lately i also feel that my right hand always hold in fist even when i sleep. • @RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies
      @RyanTaylorNaturalRemedies  2 месяца назад

      The problem with most multivitamins and those drinks, is that they contain synthetic vitamins. Lab made vitamins simply don't have the same effect in the body as food based nutrients, and some can actually cause damage. The multivitamin I personally use contains naturally occurring vitamins that are produced through fermentation. But you still need to be focusing on food, because real food contains all the cofactors needed which work with the vitamins. It doesn't have potassium however, it's really important to get this from leafy greens. This is the one I use: www.performancelab.com/products/nutrigenesis-multi-men?a_aid=667bf5a54b917&a_cid=f4c3e754

      Look into adding more magnesium in your diet and supplements. Also, as we age, we don't absorb nutrients as well as when we were younger. If a certain dosage of supplementation was adequate when you were younger, you may need to up the dosage as you get older. Listen to your body, because a doctor won't. They'll just prescribe you something for the symptoms and fine with not figuring out why.
