Update: Netflix has just announced a docuseries about the Stanford Twin Study made by the filmmakers of "The Game Changers!" It's called "You Are What You Eat: A Twin Experiment" and comes out January 1!
Thanks for the video. This is my first time seeing your content. Definitely looking forward to seeing more.🙏💚🌱
Aww so glad you hear it!! Thanks for being here!
BRB running to the store to find the Kraft NotMac 😋
I didn't find it lol
Hahaha
Gl finding it
I really appreciate the good news, Marielle! I'm excited about the NotCo-Kraft partnership, not because I miss Kraft dinner, but because I'm a big booster of Not Milk--have a carton in the fridge right now and have tried their burgers--and think such partnerships can only benefit veganism [in before the "there's no veganism under capitalism" folks]. As for the other parts of your report, the twins study is interesting, the news from Australia and NZ shows how captured by the an-ag industry they are, and Sir Attenborough keeps bringing up plant-based food systems, but is anyone listening? The most exciting thing is that AI intellectual exercise from The Daily Fail; a bit more tweaking to the prompt language and we may have an action plan! Thanks for posting!
Oh wow, knowing Not Milk is Tamara-approved makes me want to try it even more!! Hard to know who or what Attenborough is reaching; hopefully the message is getting in there somehow! And yes very interesting (and confusing) that the DailyMail did such a thing!
@@TotallyForkable Tamara Approved is the branding nobody needs, but I'd be curious to hear your verdict on Not Milk. : )
Thanks, I could use some good news after learning Del Taco discontinued the Beyond Meat tacos. The Stanford twin study is fantastic. One fun fact about David Attenborough: his brother Richard Attenborough starred in Jurassic Park. "Spared no expense!"
Omg, I saw a picture of him and knew he looked familiar!! I’m glad this video came at a good time; I hadn’t heard that about Del Taco 😕 It seems like a few of Beyond Meat’s partnerships are getting retired (Dunkin coming to mind); I’m wondering if it has more to do with Beyond than anything else?
New subscriber here. I am glad I found your channel.
Thank you so much!! I'm glad too 😊
Last I checked, Subway has a "Veggie Delight" sandwich. It does not have a plant based meat ingredient, just the "toppings." However, if you get guacamole or avocado, it is surprisingly tasty and satisfying. Relatively healthful too.
Interesting! I know some vegans who swear by Subway. I have to admit I haven't been in over a decade.
@@TotallyForkable Subways have more locations than any other fast food chain. They are so handy for trips!
They definitely saved me when I made a cross country road trip in 2010 (however, at that time I was vegetarian)! My partner and I often talk about how Chipotle seems to have replaced Subway in the "go-to vegan" fast food chain of choice.
Nice channel, subscribed
Thank you so much, and happy to have you!!
Lol when you showed a picture of the salad burger i was like wtf is that? Are they trolling us? And then you said It feels like its a big f you from mcdonalds. And thats exactly how I felt. Also I hope chat is right! Great video thank you (:
Seriously, at least put some hummus on that sheeeiiii... I'm sure McD's can conjure up their own toxic recipe chock-full of preservatives and strange chemicals to keep it shelf-stable for decades.
Seriously, it feels like a cruel joke from the 90s 🙃
LOL McDonalds incorporating legumes will really be the day!
Thanks for the good news vid 🎄🤗💚
You're so welcome!! 🥳
love notco, here in argentina they have partnered with many local chains; my favoritr vegan pizza uses their cheese (the only good non homemade vegan cheese)
Wow, that sounds really interesting! Since they were started in Chile it makes sense they would have a presence in other South American countries. I hope this company does well and that we eventually get to try more of their products in the US!
The NOTBurgers are really good. Some of my favorite mock burgers.
Glad to hear! I'd be curious to try them. I finally tried the NotMilk (decent but a bit too sweet for me), and am dying to get my hands on the Kraft NotMac!
Yessss to the LIVE. Share your recipe so maybe we can make it with you ❤
Great idea!! I’ll definitely do that 💖🤗
I will dream tonight of that scrumptious No meat burger. Ketchup on white bread. Cannot wait.
😂😂 I’m thinking I’ll scrap my planned recipes and bring those to Christmas instead.
yum salad burger 😂 Great video! Could always use some good news.
Like honestly I’d prefer the “salad and fries” sad vegan option to a salad burger 😭
@@TotallyForkable definitely that would be better.
as a Brit, it's so weird to hear David Attenborough pronounced that way 😄
The Attenborough on Kenny G video is one of David's finest moments and most don't know about it.
Haha--wait! How would you say it? More like "Atten-Burrah"?
I'll have to check it out!
exactly right ☺👌 @@TotallyForkable
LOL. I'll never forget when I was studying abroad in London and one of my teachers insisted I go to "Burrah" Market. Finally I had to ask her to spell it because I couldn't seem to find Burrah Market anywhere! 🤣
David Attenborough has touted the environmental benefits of plant-based diets for a long time, but to my knowledge, has never been vegan. Is he finally vegan?
Edit: Oops, I see you answered my question 5 min after I posted this. 😊
I didn’t realize he had; PB news made it seem like he has “shied away” from the topic in the past. They did mention a story of an activist confronting him at a fish restaurant last year.
NotCo NotBurger was my ALL TIME FAVOURITE mock meat burger that i ever tried ever in my whole life it was so good until my store discontinued it and i dont even know why. So sad, if you can try them i recommend ❤❤❤
Wow, quite an endorsement!! I saw them at Whole Foods recently so I may just have to get a pack next time!
I've had the not beef burgers and they were really good
I tried the chicken nuggets and loved them! Also tried the milk which I found pretty good although a bit too sweet. Going to be trying more of their products soon!
I can see how a animal eater could be more likely to jive with another animal eater - saying that 'veganism is good'. I've seen meat eaters argue for veganism before. But too often, we don't do what we know we should do. And people are so detached from the horrific realities and science.
I so agree with that--I think many people know what the "right" thing is to do, they just come up with a laundry list of reasons not to do it. In fact, I knew Veganism was the "right" thing years before I fully committed to it.
Sweet, the new ToFo's out. 🍿
OMG took me a second; I absolutely love this 😂🙏🏻
Me trying to find Kraftnotmac at any store and amazon: 🏃♂️🧐🤔?
I haven't found any yet! Although TBF I haven't looked very hard.
I don't think the whole world will ever be fully vegan. At best, plant-based diets will become mainstream out of necessity which will reduce/remove the stigma of being vegan and make it socially acceptable, maybe even, *gasp*, respected.
I think you’re right. “Respected.” Now that’ll be the day 🙏🏻🤞🏻
😮 you didn't like Cyberpunk 2077? it's so good. Great video though
To be fair, I only watched about an hour of gameplay--and this was right at launch when I guess there were issues that needed to be addressed? In general though it's not my style of game--I don't like super realistic-looking games with humans in it. I prefer cartoonish depictions of humans a la Nintendo's art style.
@@TotallyForkable it's been majorly patched and updated. It's beautiful too, but I guess that's not necessarily a plus for you
I'm from NZ and yes, the salad burger is a big old 'we don't care'. I haven't tried it, but I've heard it's as shit as it sounds. I have tried the BK 'rebel' whopper and its good. But both McD and kfc here simply do not care. But they are not losing any money either as vegans in NZ make up just 0.74 of the population. A poor showing. It's weirdly motivating for me :)
Yes, it seems like McD’s oscillates between pretending to care and blatantly not giving a f***. Burger King, on the other hand, has really sustained their partnership with Impossible which is nice to see. I love your attitude about being in the
that is assuming humans are still around by 2075
True 🙃
2nd!
🤗
I think tech companies need to spend more time considering the name of their A.I. Having to get used to the idea that we will eventually be subjugated by AI overlords is hard enough. That said AI overlord might be called Giuseppe or Timothy or Susan is too far imo
LOL seriously like have some respect for the humans geez 🤪

Thank you and glad you enjoyed!!
On environmentalism and animal agriculture, I assume you wouldn't have to be "vegan" to be good for the environment. I bet if everyone, especially in the West, radically reduced their meat/dairy consumption (to what level I'm not sure - once a month? more? less?), that would be good enough to have the desired environmental effect.
Iow, I don't think an environmental activist has to be vegan per se to not be a hypocrite.
Absolutely. Reduction is important and valid. The frustrating thing is that so many activists won't even acknowledge or encourage _that_ .
We are boycotting McDonald, due to their ridiculous support to the terrorists
Oh jeez--I hadn't heard about that 🤦🏻♀️
