I was so excited when u dropped a video! Thank you! Thank you! This is my dilemma as well. I have a round lazy suzy in the corner for all my pots. Honestly it is totally functional but I never liked it. I have been trying to think of something better but after seeing this video, my alternatives dont work either. Im still stumped! BTW thanks for sharing you knowledge on this! You have totally opened my eyes to what “design” truly is! Can’t wait for next video!
I have solved the upper corner cabinet dilemna in our remodel by getting rid of it and putting in open display (as you did). Well, this week, anyway. 😊
I have learnt so much that I never considered. It is convenient, and you use space but remain functional. That's what I want. The only thing I would question would be the placement of spices, herbs, etc, over or by the cooktop. Heat and light are not friendly to spices. They need a cool, dark place
Thank you, a great video, but I actually did what you wouldn't do in the 2 conners of my kitchen, as you know my kitchen is a U shape and I worked hard in putting the conners I needed, just like you say. Do what works for your kitchen, I have to say I drove the designer crazy🤣 But she thanked me foe "making her think outside the box" and now I'm satisfied with my kitchen, thanks to all your advice.
I am ok with the dead space in the corner bottom cabinets- I refuse to struggle with lazy Susan’s or slide outs; so what if I lose that awkward cave like space, it just means I need to rethink what I have and maybe get rid of it or be more creative where it goes. As for upper corners, I put open shelving there for my cookbooks and some pretty stuff, which saved $ on upper cabinets- 1 less to buy. I do have a galley kitchen but each wall has a small el which I have turned into a shallow pantry (stacked uppers on top of each other from floor to ceiling) for canned goods, the corner there has our “drink” station w/coffee pot, electric kettle, open shelves with mugs, canisters holding coffee pods, teas, sugar and the other el I created my “hutch” with lower deep drawers and stacked uppers from the countertop up with glass doors for all my dishes, glassware, platters, serving bowls the corner is where I have the open shelves and my stand mixer
@lizbiancoismydesignsherpa Please stay safe. I don't know how I will ever find another design sherpa. I found "Roscoes D.I.Y. Proctology and Design Sherpin'" on the web, but I'm petrified to click on the link. I'm not sure if Roscoe is on the up and up!
Liz, I have a question. Which kitchen sink configuration do you prefer? 1. Single bowl sink (large or small ) 2. Offset double bowl sink (1 big 1 small) 3. Double sink (both same size) 4. One sink with built in drain board 5. One large sink, one small sink with 6. One large sink, one small sink with built in drain board. 7. The modern squared edge sink with layers for strainer, chopping board, etc. 8. Farm house apron sink one big large basin. I’m leaning more on one large sink with drain board as my space is limited. What do you think? Maybe you can do a video about this.
You got it! “Everything, but the kitchen sink “. I am planning a big, 42”, work station type sink for mine. I also need the work area and drying space for all the “can’t go in the dishwasher” nonsense.
This is great. I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t like those lower cab corner contraptions. We have stumped every designer with our kitchen (have gone through 4 and paid way to much money) not one of them has recommended closing it off.
I'll never personally understand blocking off a corner cabinet because the slide-out solutions waste some space. Blocking them off wastes *all* the space. My personal preference would definitely be a galley to avoid the issue altogether, but if you're dealing with a corner, make as much use as you can of it.
I’d normally agree, coming from nyc, where every inch matters. But, it will mess with the drawer widths on with side of my stove. I’ll take the loss of 24” and use the extra💰 for fancy gadgets 🤣

It’s about thinking outside the box, though I do have another pantry (counter depth with a tall door) on the same wall as the coffee wall, it’s for all my small appliances like InstaPot, 22qt roaster, toaster, blender, 2 crockpots, vacuum sealer, microwave and paper goods. We created a larger pantry in our laundry area for even more food items and cleaning supplies. Doing this allowed all my lowers to be drawers in my small kitchen and for aging in place.
Hi Liz, Once again another home run video. Each and every one is a learning experiance. Thank you, Mark & Scott
Love you guys showing up!
We don't need no stinkin' corners! 👍 Save your money and put it into more drawers!!! ❣you Liz
Preach!

🤣🤣🤣I changed my mind again too!

They have about 24” between the cabinet and hood so i hope the spices will fare well! Good to to be mindful of.

Squeaky wheel! I love it!💪

Excellent video, Liz. Keep 'em coming.
I’m trying but these 🌀 keep me distracted!

Sometimes, the simplest solution is best! Glad you’re fighting for what you want 💪👩🎨
You’re funny!!
Are knobs back in style?? Versus pulls???
Good luck with your corner!!❤
Whatever you like is in style! Knobs do seem to be having a center stage moment though 🤔
@@lizbiancoismydesignsherpaugh! Lol😂. Thanks!❤️
What I am going to do is to put in a hidden door on other side of the cupboard so I can easily access the corner!
That’s a great solution!👩🎨
I think I solved the corner space problem. Do a pizza oven! Or maybe block it off and put a water filter system and a tankless water heater.
I like 🍕
"Kitchen cabinet companies are all owned by the same five Illuminati".
You got me laughing with that nugget of truth.
I ain't lying!

Good idea, find somebody else!

Brilliant!👩🎨 you made the best choices for you and I’m following your lead! No corners!💪
