Just got this. Amazing plugin. Tried it on one track so far and it's already replaced Pro Q3 on my kick, snare, and a very 'plucky' dotted-eight note guitar. It de-plucked my guitar and added bite to my kick and snare. The UI is not nearly as smooth as Pro Q3 - but the functionality is worth the bit of glitchiness. If you could marry the smooth UI and the dynamic EQ option of Pro Q3 with the Split EQ - you'd have a perfect EQ. My Pro Q3 isn't going anywhere - but Split EQ will definitely take over some of it's roles in my mixing. Great video. Thank you.
Hello & thank you! To answer your questions: 1) We hope to include linear phase filters in a future update but have no guarantees on a timeline just yet. 2) Yes, but we are actively working on a fix that will be included in a future update.
@@EventideAudio Awesome, I like SplitEQ a lot and alternate it with Spiff. If it had linear phase, you'd leave them waaaay behind. I also have Blackhole, great pluggos.
I'm sure that Matt Lange is a delightful guy and a fine engineer, and yet every time time I see his name in a video title I get excited thinking that it's _Mutt Lange,_ and then immediately feel a twinge of disappointment. Then I feel guilty and watch the video anyway. Sorry, Matt, it's not your fault that you have almost the same name as one of the most iconic and reclusive producers in history.
I went to a mixing conference where I heard/met/spoke with Matt. Thought it was gonna be Mutt the entire time before he walked out because I read the pamphlet too fast. Still learned a ton from him and follow him to this day!
Forgive me if this comes across insensitive or insulting (read: do this NOW as it almost certainly will) but I would expect a ''Masterclass'' presentation to include more than the super obvious hunt-and-peck approach, which any trained monkey could execute, to general EQ operations as applied to transient or tonal properties. In a master level class I would expect to see presented the side chaining of SplitEQ (or clips which it produces) to another dynamics plugin so that, for example, kick and/or bass string transients or tonal elements can be independently used dynamically beyond SplitEQ's current parameter limitations. You know, the stuff that could save Eventide designers and representatives a lot of headaches not far down the road when users start calling for more options. Certainly, that will become a thing and it could be very useful to now openly state that 2 or more processes/steps (beyond simply clicking buttons in 1 plugin) can lead to results that are now simply impossible by any other means. But, no, here we got a ''This is how I click the buttons they give us'' which is not master level. C'mon. Game, up it. Now you may call me a d ck and learn to cope with that as I (obviously) and select others already have.
The title obviously appears to provided from Eventide not Matt. Tell them, don't blame Matt. Tell them they baited you to watch because of that title and what it included was in fact a classic bait and switch from your perspective of what a masterClass should be. Possibly being as insensitive as you were, reading comments from people about not getting his name correct or not knowing who Mutt is, this was a masterclass! Yes, his voice was to loud, a valid comment without true aggression being shown. Please forward your video on how it should have been given. I hope you have mellowed out in the two years since this comment.
Nice, it does miracles so easily.

Cool plug-in Eventide. 2 questions:
1) Why doesn't this plug-in support linear phase?
2) Do bells cramp at nyquist?

@@EventideAudio Thanks for the fast reply, I will definitely consider buying this if you implement linear filters 😀👌

Thanks for the tip man! But why does your GUI look darker like some of us wish to see in future updates?
I have the same version as everyone else!
Eventide Dev here: we do have a darker, higher contrast option in the works for an update.
hey peter would you add transparent dynamic options to this? split eq is literally what i use everyday!@@petermcculloch5899
This plugin is a game changer. Does it have any dynamic settings?
At the moment, it does not.
this is helpful, but his voice is wayy to loud compared to the music audio. i had to ride the volume the whole time.
Use split eq to compress the tonal properties of Matt’s voice
I think matt lange should do electronic sound processing.
He does

@Khazuri Official Wait, you, too?
I had no idea who Mutt Lange was but I guess that Matt Lange is somewhat similar for me to who is that guy to you :D
