Audrey Zondo cus they barely drive them. A Lexus is meant to be driven to the maximum. You see, Lexus has solved the issue. You can buy a luxury car and still be able to afford owning it. A luxury car doesn’t have to be expensive to own and be driven so little for it to actually be luxurious. It can also be high quality, which is what it should be when buying an expensive item. When buying a rolex, it can last 15-20 years while a significantly lesser brand will last way less. When buying a particular brand of shoes, it will last way more than some chinese knock off. Why its different with cars? Because like you are all saying, most people don’t care about driving their luxury cars or saving money on them. Yet Lexus is still the highest quality luxury car manufacturer and defies the odds in the car business. Actually, I don’t know why I’m complaining. Lexus already exists. Let the other german cars be for the people who don’t care about their money. However, it still doesn’t make it right. It is always the rule that whenever you pay more, it is because the construction of the thing is much more high quality so that it lasts long. Only Lexus follows that rule. Actually most of the german car manufacturers back in the day used to make very reliable luxury cars. But now they learnt that their customers really don’t care about the cars and so they started cutting costs and cheaply building the cars.

I have a red lc500 and today I saw another lc500 on the freeway. The lady slowed down to give me a thumbs up. Ive had a few high performance cars. This is my favorite by far
canah1 by performance you really are just talking about straight line. Because handling wise you will not notice the difference unless you really push it on the track. The lc500 handles amazingly well, and I've driven a bunch of 911s, amgs and BMW Ms. My Tesla is faster then the m850 but only in straight line. My lc500 is much more fun to drive and sounds great. Not to knock on the BMW , just saying performance is not only about straight line. Bmw doesn't have much advantage in terms of handling vs the lc500. A mustang or Corvette can run circles around this BMW if you only compare on that regard. I look at the overall package and the emotional engagement the car brings you. The Lexus is just a more well rounded car... And much better looking .
I actually considered both cars. Had an issue with the BMW's halo (don't like the attention). In the end, I ended up picking the LC, more specifically because I got worn by the expenses my old Germans pulled (MB). I've been with Lexus since 2012 and I love the fact that it costs me about 250$ a year to maintain - compared to more than a 1000$. And the fixes long term on my Benzes that I'm saving now are actually paying for LC ! And I think that, seeing how quickly the Germans are depreciating, in the long run, maintenance fees aside, the resale value will stick a bit longer with the LC. It's no Porsche, but I got my fingers crossed. All and all, I loved both cars and the 850 is phenomenal, but the LC is the more rational choice here... and I love it. Now you need to get the windows tinted if you don't like the attention... cuz it catches a lot of it! Thanks for the video guys !
I have a BMW Capitation M8. But they left out 85% of what it can do. So it is very much worth the money. Technology, Speed, Fun/Comfort !!! They didn’t use all of the driving features.
I just picked up a 2021 LC500 Nori Green Pearl Convertible on July 12!!! LOVE IT!!!! I don't track cars ever and I drive pretty much within the limits of the law (most of the time). I only drive this on weekends since I really don't commute outside of my home office on most days. I also have a GS F as a daily driver and a Kawasaki H2 SX SE+ for feeding my need for speed when necessary.
LC500 all day long! First of all the price/performance is much better if you go for the Lexus. Secondly you need to decide whether you want a powerful turbo charged or a natural aspirated engine. Last but not least, the attention of society is definitely gonna be in Lexus' favour.
I have driven both cars to figure out what is my next sports car. That damn bmw moves very quickly and the features are pretty cool. The thing about the BMW it just reminds me of a mustang. But I had to go with the Lexus. I thought about reliability and maintenance. Also the uniqueness of the Lexus. You will definitely stand out on the road. I always get everyone staring and trying to take pictures. The squeaking brakes will annoying you, because you think you’re brakes are bad. Dealer said everything is good and normal. Other than that... I absolutely love it!!!
@@MotorPressReviews what's sad is that even MB is doing the same thing these days .... BMW started it, now everyone is fakin' it. PS: Thank you for reply! I really enjoy watching you guys! Very informative reviews without any nagging or "hating".... just solid reviews of what the specific car delivers! Keep it up!
My car mechanic friend loves BMW because it's given him ongoing income for over 30 years. He says they're back in his shop constantly with problems. Only a fool with more money than sense would choose a BMW over a Lexus.
Bimmers have more of a "status" and "cool" factor but they break down constantly after a few years of ownership. Lexus' are reliable. Made to last. I'll take the LC anyday, in yello or red! It's elegant, sexy, confortable and luxurious.
Me and a co-worker bought comparable sedans the same year: He bought a BMW, I bought the Lexus counterpart. I started my own business, lost track of the co-worker. Ran into him 7 years later....no BMW. Lexus. "How you been? No BMW....What happened it? It was beautiful." him: "Dont ask"
Great review. Thank you for sharing your great points of view! I ‘m looking to purchase the LC convertible. I love the look of the LC and you can’t go wrong with Lexus value and realizability.
Just an amazing review guys! Fantastic video. I have to say I'd chose the Lexus over the BMW. My only gripe with the Lexus us the industries worst user interface in that touchpad system. Everything else is great. I think your two little ones nailed it with there back seat review hahaha. So cute.
Over the past 16 years I have been driving BMW,.... and while I am indeed looking for a new convertible in this category, it will not be a BMW. The Lexus on the other hand is one of the contenders.
Price to price I will take M850i. Also, I ready saw LC500 on sale on craigslist for $75K and it got under 2000 mile and wonder why he/she already wants to sell it.
I Will NEVER BY A BRAND NEW BMW. THEY WILL NEVER BE IN MY POCKET BECAUSE THIS SOCIETY SAYS. SO.....NEVER!!!!!I'LL BUY A BRAND NEW LEXUS!!!! And GET MY MONIES WORTH!!!!! AND I CAN PAY MY. FRIEND To FIX IT . and I dont have to go to THERE DEALERS AND GIVE THEM NO MORE !!!!!!MONEY??😃😃😃😃😃😃
the retention price of M850i series is 23% of the original price. its depreciation price rate is phenomenal. why would you buy this car if you cant keep the value for long time?
The LC wins in looks, the interior is much nicer, it sounds better and it’s going to be reliable 5 - 10 years down the road. Gotta go with the NA V8. If only it had a stick.
I looked at both and bought the BMW. It is faster, sounds better and that touch pad in the LC is trash. The Lexus is a great car futuristic styling, well sculpted hard lines, and the interior looks nice. But the 850i is more than just the styling. The adaptive cruise is lovely, the Eco Pro is a great benefit, the interior with iDrive 7 is more functional, the Android Auto integration is seamless, and in sport mode, I will see the LC500 in my rear mirror. Sport Plus, I don't even know it was there. The ZF transmission is butter. It absorbs the every roads like cloud. Had it a week and when I pull up, anyway, it draws attention. I have been asked, what car is this more times in a week that I can count. This is real world ownership, not a few hours review. I drove the LC for a day during the test drive, but I own the 850i. The BMW is superior. Facts.
After owning an f10 m5 for over a year I have to say the German car manufacturer BMW has their ducks in a row. The leather seats are so soft and comfortable they compare to the best recliner. Soft touch luxury all over. After 58k miles it still smelled like premium leather. The performance and sound was unique and bold. The handling was better than the 18 zl1 I currently drive even though the zl1 is over 700 lbs lighter. And as far as reliability I never had a single issue with it. The sales manager at the dealership I traded it in at blew the motor. Lol. The owner of the Chevy dealership called me to ask what was wrong with the car. I told him his sales manager must’ve blown it up because it drove beautifully when I traded it in. The motor will cost $36k us to replace. Ouch! I’ll take the bmw please.
I am fortunate to own a 2021 LC also in white with caramel interior. It is awesome. And this review nails its positives. Terrific review btw gentlemen. I’m glad RUclips recommended it. The car does have a few negatives. Things that are intuitive like a button for seat warmers on other Lexuses are now buried in the Lexus climate software. So it takes a while to find the function. This is the case many times over with other functions too. But the sound of the car at startup and full tilt is just sublime. The car’s power is also immensely usable.
Both are dream cars, until I get rich once in the future, but even if I were rich, I would probably have chosen some cheaper alternatives that are also good.
The concept of LC is an innovative sharp and gentle car construction, where an advanced craftsman with an LFA assembly usually takes 1 minute to build a perfect car over 20 minutes.
What a great and sympathic review. Some more music would have been great. As for the cars i think i would go for the Lexus. But as you said it's nice to have different approaches to suit different needs.
I WOULD PICK THE LEXUS LC 500 BECAUSE I THINK YOU ARE GETTING A BETTER DEAL THAN THE BMW AND LEXUS IS KNOWN FOR QUALITY. AND I F YOU TAKE CARE OF THIS CAR IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME (LEXUS-500)
Had 2005 bmw 545i v8. Oil leaked at 80k miles. The fuck? Nightmare will happen after 100k miles or more. Entry level benz or bmw last longer because techs are less sophisticated.
The problems with Mercedes and BMW asides from reliability issue is that they redesign these cars every 4 to 5 years that looks totally different. They are mass produced.
I think the Lexus LC 500 is the ultimate Sport coupe there is but only thing I wish it had blue moon lights for night time driving lit up inside that would top it off
Mistook a BMW 850 for my 13 year old Lexus ES350 in a dark parking lot yesterday!!!! Last night, i went to a christmas play at the godson's elementary school. On the way back out, in the semi-dark parking lot I walked up to an 850 on ACCIDENT because it was parked 6 feet closer than my Lexus ES350. I tried to open to door, TWICE, before i realized im at the wrong car. My gf, who doesnt care about cars, shrugged and didnt notice much difference. but i noticed. (whispering:) i noticed
The big difference is the Lexus will hold it's value and be more dependable. How often are we going to need all of that power ? The Lexus is the smart buy although the BMW is a better looking ride. Take a look on those car auction sites like Bring a Trailer. It's a potpourri of BMW cars for sale. Once out of warranty they fall in price faster then a rock going downhill.

I look at the overall package and the emotional engagement the car brings you. The Lexus is just a more well rounded car... And much better looking .
The LC is a gorgeous car. But I will buy it just for that downshift blurp in manual mode
Sweet! Congratulations 👏
Can't wait for the performance version of the Lexus in the LCF. Hope its a Twin Turbo v8 with electric motors
I’ll take the LC500 all day long. But I wouldn’t mind driving the M850i for a few hours.
Lexus LC500 all the way!
As far as the exhaust notes, Lexus had Yamaha perfect the exhaust note.
I'd go with the Lexus!
PS: The 850 has got well over 520hp! It's closer to 550-560hp, BMW always lies about their specs!
We were going to take it to the dyno, but our guy could't do AWD cars :( But you are right! They do underrate and it feels like it!
Keep it up!
I think it's just the flat torque delivery and the fact their engines produce power everywhere in the rev range.
My car mechanic friend loves BMW because it's given him ongoing income for over 30 years. He says they're back in his shop constantly with problems. Only a fool with more money than sense would choose a BMW over a Lexus.
Lexus, it isn’t even a question!
It was beautiful."
him: "Dont ask"
I love the stick test! It's so high tech!🤣
Let the kids be part of all the reviews. They are awesome and they are not biased because they are kids!😂😂😂
I sell Lexus and this car is just incredible.. LC500 all day no brainer. Also I recommend taking a look at the Lexus RC-F sport. 😍😍
zack bahr sell me this car
The LC is on my to buy list.
The BMW cool though... Won’t buy it
The guys reaction to gunning the m850 says it all.
Great review. Thank you for sharing your great points of view! I ‘m looking to purchase the LC convertible. I love the look of the LC and you can’t go wrong with Lexus value and realizability.
Thanks for the kind words! LC convertible will be amazing! Keep us posted!
So BMW is more expensive ; but Lexus will last more then 20 years to come ; both sounds good.
Definitely go for the lc500
Really liked your review! You're hilarious! THANKS! I'lll pick the BMW after someone takes the depreciation. 😂
Sweet! You are very welcome!
Bmw Over Lexus
Just an amazing review guys! Fantastic video. I have to say I'd chose the Lexus over the BMW. My only gripe with the Lexus us the industries worst user interface in that touchpad system. Everything else is great. I think your two little ones nailed it with there back seat review hahaha. So cute.
Thanks man! We gave it our best :)
@@MotorPressReviews honestly the production on this was fantastic. You should be very proud! Just excellent
Very flattering to hear that! We did a few things out of the ordinary, so I am happy it paid off :)
FYI, since May 19’ you can add Apple Carplay to any LC500 for $199 at the dealer. They will just do system upgrade
Cool info!!! Thanks!
The moment you face any 2 door Lexus vs BMW 8 series,I know,Lexus made it to the top where should always be.
BMW love the interior and Gear Shift. And it’s faster !!!!!! But Lexus has better body but I go with BMW for this one
finally found a person like me
Over the past 16 years I have been driving BMW,.... and while I am indeed looking for a new convertible in this category, it will not be a BMW. The Lexus on the other hand is one of the contenders.
Price to price I will take M850i. Also, I ready saw LC500 on sale on craigslist for $75K and it got under 2000 mile and wonder why he/she already wants to sell it.
Lol every comment here is for the Lexus but BMW sells like hot bread while Lexus stays in the showroom :)))
That's what market wants right now. 4wd, turbo engine, big vents in the bumpers, "piano" finish inside, big and ugly screens.
Marius seems to be from south Africa where for whatever reason lexus has a small following. In usa lexus murders German brands
LC 500 is so unique!
He is right about not being a track car, a honda civic type r, kept up with one, and rode its arse the whole way around a track!
Hard to think of something that could outrun a Civic Type R on the track :)
I love Lexus’s.
Agreed! And I’m a former Lexus IS-F owner.
Thank you for your kind words and feedback!
Stop poking vents with that stick, it made me uneasy for some reason.
Sorry that you have been poked before.
Haha
Can you do a special on this gorgeous Lexus, no interest in BMW .. Lexus has legendary dependability and is simply a beauty, well done Lexus
Both cars are great. Bmw you lease and Lexus you buy.
Both are dream cars, until I get rich once in the future, but even if I were rich, I would probably have chosen some cheaper alternatives that are also good.
Remi Andre' Pedersen the LC hybrid is 70k rn on autotrader, it will be available for cheap later in the future.
SGT Austin Yes, that price is more acceptable
The concept of LC is an innovative sharp and gentle car construction, where an advanced craftsman with an LFA assembly usually takes 1 minute to build a perfect car over 20 minutes.
LEXUS LC 👌🏻😎 TOP QUALITY & THE TOP LUXURY GT CAR 😎👍🏻 & TOP DREAM CAR ❤️
I like BMW but LC 500 has just outdone inside out in comparison with its competitor! well done lexus!
LC500 F Sport in 2021?
Wish you guys had the 850i Coupe to go up against that Lexus. Two beautiful cars though.
That was the plan, BMW decided to retire their Coupe the week before our test. We were lucky to get what we got.
Taking the stick and checking for fake airvents...lol
BMW design so luxury
The kids did the best review. :D
lc 500 only))
What a great and sympathic review. Some more music would have been great. As for the cars i think i would go for the Lexus. But as you said it's nice to have different approaches to suit different needs.
Lexus LC 500: Rockstar
BMW M850i: CEO of the record company that pays the rockstar.
vlove888 Ed Sheehan gets paid more than the CEO who pays him 😉
I like the BMW Performance and hope that they are more reliable.
10:05 there's a sunroof in here too cute man LOL
Thx :)
I WOULD PICK THE LEXUS LC 500 BECAUSE I THINK YOU ARE GETTING A BETTER DEAL THAN THE BMW AND LEXUS IS KNOWN FOR QUALITY. AND I F YOU TAKE CARE OF THIS CAR IT WILL LAST A LONG TIME (LEXUS-500)
Also, whatever happened to the convertible review of the LC?
We were not able to get one yet
The N63 engine on the Bimmer wont last 100k miles, it's been eating valve seals for years in the 550s and 750s. Nice car but don't buy it..lease it
I never had any problems with my N63TU2 150,000km & the 850i has a N63Tu3
Had 2005 bmw 545i v8. Oil leaked at 80k miles. The fuck? Nightmare will happen after 100k miles or more. Entry level benz or bmw last longer because techs are less sophisticated.
V8 bmw famous as nightmare maintenance cost. Even for old v8 bmw or astronomical tech v8 new bmw
The problems with Mercedes and BMW asides from reliability issue is that they redesign these cars every 4 to 5 years that looks totally different. They are mass produced.
If you watch the movie closely....the LC500 is the car Black Panther drives.
Tony Star has an R8, and later an NSX.
Black Widow, the new Stingray
the bmw just looks like another bmw
Overpriced Mustang vs Concept Car in Production
@@m4zcp88 a very shallow way To look at a car, I can tell that you're a boring guy just from that alone.
The Lexus LC 500 is the hands down easy choice! Looks, sound, RELIABILITY, resale and value! I might have subscribed but you missed the summary!
reliability, resale and value all don’t matter in cars like this. But I agree that the LC500 is better
@@kristians2704:Maybe value is less important. But reliability and resale definitely are!
The Lexus will be around forever. That bmw not so much
your bank account is not so much compared to that BMW. 😂
daniel zychniewicz Give it a yr or two, that BMW will be at his bank account 😂
@@85corolla lol says the guy that drives a 85 corolla. Lol more like a corlola. i have parts on my bmw worth more than your car. and not even big parts lol.
85corolla gottem
daniel zychniewicz Haha, why don’t you go into my profile and look at the carS I currently own and we can talk about your one BMW? Car parts and all. You see, I purposely created that screen name 85 Corolla to bait people like you. Don’t forget to come back here and talk some more shit when you’re done watching my vid.
you guys are chill, great review . new sub forsure!
Thanks and welcome!!!
LC 500 should be the new Supra
That would be way over the top for Toyota. The new Supra reminds me of a Lexus RC
The BMW Screamed but the Lexus roar like a lion 🦁
In my opinion the Lexus LC is way better than the BMW because of the way it looks and sounds. I will definitely get more compliments driving that Lexus LC than the BMW. It just screams luxury all around with a high performance V8 engine.
Lexus because the BMW already look outdated
