    I don't curl much over 50kg for reps as I'm afraid of a bicep tear eventually. I do negatives a lot, but I'm doing 15-20 reps at 45kg. I'm not going to push it. I've seen guys tear a bicep and be done weightlifting for several weeks and start all over again

    • @pstaplehurst
      @pstaplehurst  2 года назад +22

      That’s fair enough mate. Tbh I haven’t bicep curled this sort of weight in ages. I know what you mean about injuries, it’s always good to be aware of these things, because a bicep tear would be horrible!

    • @ThatGuy-gd1vf
      @ThatGuy-gd1vf 2 года назад +1

      i thought it was only possible to tear your bicep by doing pulls? like how many people pull their biceps on deadlifts with the switch grip

    • @moreasmorebaes9996
      @moreasmorebaes9996 2 года назад +1

      @@ThatGuy-gd1vf As a powerlifter, I can guarentee that if you pull the slack with ur bicep facing arm, you wouldn't be giving much room for a bicep tear when using alternative grip. Hook is still better if you get used to the pain but.
