ImKibitz I have one idea, you should be duing a train system for transport of the player instead of material and minerals to make it look better instead of flying and that it’s impossible to die from fall damage
Part of the reason I mentioned in other episodes that it might be a good idea to set the stations where there are resources instead of just randomly chosing a location is demonstrated at 16:30. By the way, with current Mk5 belts, the max a mk3 miner on a pure node would produce is 780 ore/min out of a potential 1200 ore/min (if there was a belt that could handle that speed :) ). Also, there is an alt recipe for Silica that uses raw quartz and limestone. This new recipe either saves 1/3 of the raw quartz/min for a certain amount of silica, or can produce 50% more silica using the same amount of quartz as the original recipe. One last thing. Prior to loading the bauxite at the station, you might want to do a little balancing so that each platform gets the same amount of Bauxite (and you don't have one half empty car while the fastest belt is backed up).
@@TheExileFox While the Mk6 belts have been shown in the wiki there is no estimated release date except for "after summer time". There are some other things in the wiki that are planned - but no clue when Coffee Stain will get to them.
I don't know why he doesn't build more train stations and only has two train lines, they're so much more efficient than conveyors, I have tons of stations and trains connecting everything lol
You might want to balance the belts going into the trains stations, so instead of having 780+600+300 baux, you have 3 times 560. It's just 3 splitters, 3 mergers, bada-boom, bada-bang. When you consider the time it takes for the train to do the round-trip and check if it able to provide the throughput you want, this will make it easier. Same with the quartz and so on, whenever you have multiple belts of the same item going into stations (including truck stations).
What I been doing with my trains is building a bunch of substations around to pick up from and then take the product back to the main base to do whatever I was going to do with it. So I would have built a sub base to make the silica from the raw quartz right away and transported that back. Saves a lot of room at the main base.
You should prioritize researching alternative recipes. They reduce raw material costs by roughly 30 percent at lowest and are more time efficient. In case you want to automate turbomotors, you will need a lot of crystal oszillators and you could use that quartz for that. Just some advice from a guy who rebuilt his entire factory because of the efficiency of alternate recipes. ;)
In the cave with the twin quartz and solo S.A.M. ore, there are a LOT of slugs in there. They are all over the place. But you need to use the scanner to find them all as some are tucked away very nicely and can only be gotten by building platforms high enough to see them.
That one spot with two pure quartz between your two train stations.. would have been a perfect spot for a "spur" line of track to branch off and make a round about with mini station for just quartz.. - path of least resistance to prevent making roads / long tracks of power lines/etc..
Your stuff is great - but I wish you would just SLOW down a bit and give a few more secs to ‘get’ the details of your clever work. Things are so tight in your factories it is hard to glean any details as you flit around from feature to feature.
Nice, you just built your new truck stops and whatnot pretty much right beside where my main factory is :) Love it when the place starts looking familiar. I've been through that cave before but there wasn't any sam ore or quartz, now I have to go back again lol.
Hey ImKibitz! Love the channel and have subscribed. BUT... I have a question. I have been playing Satisfactory for a while now and suck and planning my factory. Could you do a tutorial on how you setup yours? Creating your hub (if you have one), how you planned and split your materials? I would love to understand even just (and mainly) the beginning process where you laid your iron, copper, and limestone production machinery? It would be a great help to me so that I could figure out the rest. Right now my factory is sooooooo disorganized and un-efficient no matter how I seem to lay it out! Thanks and keep up the great work!

ImKInitz Suggestion => Learn how to use Factorio Trains system!!! Seriously it will help you plan out for your base train station. You will have issue later on with the system you are currently using. Your base won't be able to maintain the massive amount of goods you will need. Use circular system to have multiple trains running on the same track and not only one. This will be way more efficient then just having one train per ligne as you are going forward. You are technically already encountering the issues created by one ligne system. Otherwise, I love your aesthetic display of your base.
If they ever add train collisions, then all the tracks would have to be later out again. Us big loops just take even longer, requiring more cars. Each approach has merit tho
@@UniqueBreakfastTaco actually multiple trains would be optimal in the long terme. Satisfactory is still in progress. So will have to see how they evolve the train system. In the other hand, Factorio is an excellent game to try train situations with. I hope Satisfactory get inspired by it.

Just so you know, diesel trains are actually electric trains. You see, a diesel engine can't produce enough torque to actually pull a train, so what they did instead was put a diesel GENERATOR, which produces the electricity needed to make enough torque to pull the train. It's why it's so easy to convert a diesel locomotive into an electric one(of the type that pulls power from an overhead 25kV line): You just bypass the diesel engine and feed the electric motor directly.
