Don't forget to go hard drive hunting now that there's new stuff to build. i found one that would of made your power factory a litter easier. I'll let you find that one though Kibitz :)
I have seen three new recipes that apply to the tier 7 - nuclear power chain :) that makes things a lot easier. In fact, when combined with older alt recipes (some already in use in the main base), you would use less than a third of the items that you would use if you were not using any alternate recipes. The savings with uranium is even more - with two of the new alt recipes, you would use less than 1/5 of the uranium that is needed to produce the same amount of fuel, and you could get by with a miner mk2 without overclocking along with mk2 onveyor belts and lifts.
@@meepmweep Dear, I've watched all his Satisfactory episodes on repeat. Kibitz did all those late researches, when he almost unlocked everything available for the time. Keep all the radioactive stuff in the cave. Manufacture all the non-radioactive core components of the Fuel rods outside then belt them all into the cave to manufacture the uranium cells and fuel rods. Then fast belt them out to the reactor and fast belt the waste back into the cave into a bunch of storage containers. Keep the manufacturing of the fuel rods balanced to the usage rate of the reactor. That way you don't have a bunch of fuel rods sitting on the belt waiting to enter the reactor. Keeps the belts clear or radioactivity.
To deal with the nuclear waste, you could build a storage container over the void and when the container is full, you just deconstruct the storage container while your player inventory is full (does not have to be anything harmful). This will spawn 1 chest with all the waste that was inside the container, you just deleted. This chest will not be marked on the compass or the map. Therefore I currently see this as the best and easierst way to deal with nuclear waste. Because you never have to carry it around on your player and thus never need to waste a hazmat suit in case you don't want to die every 3 seconds of transporting the waste.
Free lease tried this and it just fills your pockets - there is no way to just delete it - the waste needs some sort of processing to convert it (SAM ore ?)
@@Mrflash222006 Did you try it with an already filled inventory? Because then it would have to delete the items in the already filled inventory, which it should not and cannot do. By the way: Nice idea with the SAM ore, I did not think about that. Maybe it will be implemented in a later experimental build. :)
OMG - vertical spliters/mergers!! You can flip a spliter around 180 degrees as you put it above the last, then link them with a convary lift, allowing your to centeraly load/unload machines.
I've hooked up around 30 double bins to eachother and will deal with it after they finally fill.I've mathed it that each bin allows 1 nuclear bin the run for 16 hours of gameplay at 100% efficiency. So 30 bins = 480 hours, then divide that by the amount of power plants you want
as far as I remember, when you jump from a cliff the loot crate will be transfered to the cliff where you jumped of. works exactly like in apex legends ;)
imkibitz in order to easily dump the waste into the void. create a storage on a platform over the void. once full, make sure your inventory is full and remove the storage, dropping the waste into the void.
You can use smart splitters to make overflow splitters work more efficiently. On a setup with 4 machines the first splitter is a 3-to-1, the second a 2-to-1, and the last splitter is a standard 1-to-1 splitter.
ImKibitz:“however though there’s quite a few things i still don’t understand about the whole nuclear power stuff, mainly how to deal with nuclear waste“ Everybody on earth:“I feel you bro“
so far from what i have seen, the best method seems to be to stack up a bunch of storage bins in a void area and just put the Nuclear Waste in those (btw that pit in the beginning of the video looks like a good candidate since there is nothing down there)
Tip: Create a container floating over the void, when it's full, fill up your inventory and destroy it. If inventory is not full, then the waste is autopickup into your inventory :p
Since you can not go down with the waste, I went up. Very tall twin towers of storage units connected together. I have four nuc units starting to produce waste so we will see how fast twenty double storage units take to fill up.
I think that atm the best thing you can do with the waste is ship it to a far away cave filled to the brim with cargo containers and hope youve got enough space xD
I have spent 4-5 hours trying to work out the nuclear ☢️ waste issue, the good news is it stacks in 500 in the industrial containers - the only way I can see is to convert it somehow - adding all the clues up it has some thing to do with the SAM ore (there is a node in a cave with access from under the stone legs what has the farty plants around it)
Soooooooo, anyone else think ImKibitz sounds like David Cross? Ian from Alvin and the chipmunks. Love the vids. ok I have to say, your past creations always were a tidbit messy but still on the organized side of things, but this looks really really good and tidy!
Make a conveyor lift and it brings the waste on a super high tower that has about 100+ storage units so one you do get radioactive because of how high it is
The more you have in 1 place the bigger the radius of the radioactive area a full container gives about 5 foundation spaces around of radiation, didn't try multiple containers but if it stacks 100 containers would be a very large area
They will probably add something to recycle the waste to rods. At the moment you don't have the choice but to store them. If you throw a vehicle into the hole it will re spawn at the top. It did for me.
Is there enough space to build the nuclear power plant and the nuclear power plant right at the uranium node so that you don't have to move the radiation anywhere?
So I was doing some exploring in the explorer and decided I'm going to store my waste below the surface of the game. I actually plan on routing my uranium underneath as well for maximum spooky
Build a radioactive train with 40 carts (maximum number) and drive it off the map backwards like dropping freight carts one after another as they are very cheap. Do it at the far north-eastern edge as there is a desert with no important stuff just some oil.
You should keep the turbo fuel as a peaker plant. Definition: Peaker plants, and occasionally just "peakers", are power plants that generally run only when there is a high demand.
IRL, peaker plants are there to deal with the fact that many power plants can't "spin-up" to higher demand fast enough to meet it (nuclear power in particular has this weakness, it usually takes a long time to change the output so they are generally run for a base load and leave changes in demand above the base value for fossil fuels). In Satisfactory, this is not an issue; power plants put a set amount of power capacity on the grid, and so long as you never go over that capacity, you're absolutely fine as every power plant will adjust instantly to match any change in demand. Going from 100MW to 10GW in a moment as your entire factory spins up? Not a problem. Due to the sheer power capacity of nuclear reactors, if you can sustainably run several reactors in-game then there should never again be a situation where you ever run out of power (... unless your storage for nuclear waste fills up, backs up the conveyors, and prevents the reactors from operating, or you're going crazy by building a factory covering the entire map, using every single node available; and even then, you'd be hard pressed to exhaust the 1TW+ of potential power from uranium in that scenario). Whilst it might be interesting if Coffee Stain made adjustments to the power system to more accurately reflect real life, thus elevating the importance of things like a) considering base, average, and peak loads, and b) having systems in place to deal with fluctuations, that is probably well outside the scope of the game and possibly getting into unenjoyable levels of complexity for most.

you can store it at sky limit or at void where before you start take damage ........
Did you research all the new stuff? That might be how you find the way to get rid of all the nuclear waste
will future updates make reactors that utilize the nuclear waste?
You Sir, are the real beast!
do you have a guide on load balancing?
Azurl it’s all on the Satisfactory sub Reddit
@@Mrflash222006 you don't happen to have a link to it? I'm not on reddit much

Less Nature, More concrete is always alright with Me. LOL
Just run industrial storage crates down in the darkest deepest cave link them all together and send all the nuclear waste down there but he still has to figure out how to take care of all those spiders we all know how much you love spiders

use the mam on uranium stuff (maybe to find a way to get rid of waste)
Put a container over the Void fill your inventory so you can't pick anything up and delete the container leaving the nuclear waste to fall into the void then connect another Bin to conveyor belt
