Ye, additional to the information you provided but more in depth is if some one wants to lose weight u wanna go on a caloric deficit and if you want to gain weight than go on a caloric surplus. Those that wanna know can look up the meaning of those words 😊
This is probably why I’ve been working out for 3+ years and see no real changes other than looking a bit more toned😭but eating more for me is hard
@@jezabeltokio there's no way your working out for 3 years+ and don't feel any difference, I play basketball 5 days a week for 2 years, and I'm seeing differences, I can run more faster than before
@@QTCLIPS21 i mainly workout for my mental health didn’t say I don’t feel a difference I simply said I don’t see a drastic difference. I’m slim naturally so that is also partly why
I literally est shit and or doesnt do anything to me. I run at least 40km a week and go to the gym 5 Times a week so this is probably y tho

Honestly I get reallllyyyy tired of seeing people trying different fitness trends to see how it will “transform their body”. I personally love Pilates but not because it makes me look a certain way. It helps my posture, my strength and balance in other forms of movement (like weightlifting), and helps me work on my mind-body connection. It’s okay to want your body to change, but I really wished we would just promote exercise and movement as a way to feel good and not just all about looks.

Loved this video! I’ve been doing Pilates consistently for about a year and a half and coming from someone who used to do hardcore cardio and dieting, Pilates has 100% changed my life. It’s all I do (with a little walking every day) and I’ve never been happier with my body and mindset
Literally it changed my body.. (and it helped my mind also) 16 months now.
Never was an exercise person before. I'll never stop pilates.

Love the video ashleyyy!! As a professional dancer, it is important to have rest days between pilates sessions (for example, pilates MWF and Sat, then Tues Thurs and Sunday are your rest days). This is so the body has time to recover and also soak in all the benefits of training. If it’s everyday the body will get used to it and unless you’re going to keep doing consecutive training every single day of your life without any rest days, the body will change really quickly (when you stop for a day or rest after a long time). So please also prioritize rest!❤️
CORRECT! Any workout is better than no workout or sitting on the couch all day. Yet, you can do all the workout and not lose a pound. Your eating habits is the key to losing weight. Workout is just boosting your metabolism and toning.
Ashley, this is so inspiring to me. I’ve been looking into starting Pilates but was so unsure on the ideal of how the workout is for beginners, but you’ve done it again and open the new world with this video. Tysm for showcasing and educating the different faculties which ur area has to offer. 💗💗

Pilates and mega former or Lagree are two different machines. I think anyone who has done reformer or Lagree knows this but I think it is an important distinction. Also, each studio or class will have its own vibe. Taking reformer through a recreation center verses a trendy boutique or franchise studio will be 3 totally different experiences. I loved pilates reformer so much I bought bought my own machine. It IS addictive.

you should def do some at home pilates with resistance bands and weights. its cheaper and effective as well, may not produce such high intensity but if you do it right it will work up just as much of a sweat
still crazy to me that there's these scary machines now, i've always saw classes where you had to bring your mat and yourself
I did ballet from I was 6-20, and we often did pilates. since I turned 20 I havent had much time to dance anymore due to work and school, but your video inspired me to try some pilates again, cause my body needs it omg

honestly, I love pilates because it changed my mindset. a 20-min video was recommended to me, and I decided to try it out. it was so relaxing and grounding, because you don't really think about anything other than your form and your breathing technique. it takes my mind off of everything and helps me connect with my body. and finally, after I don't know how many years, I'm not going after a certain body image. I've tried going to the gym or doing those Pamela Reif and Chloe Ting workouts, but nothing worked out for me. I was only doing it for the looks, I was not having fun. a lot of my friends love going to the gym, though, so everyone's different, I guess. so give pilates a try, especially if you are in need of some healing, and see for yourself.

I’d just like to add (to the intro) that pilates doesn’t need a machine :) reformer is just another type of pilates, basic is in just a mat, there’s also ball pilates.
