- These day after clearing PLAB 2 exam and getting GMC registration to practice medicine in United Kingdom, it's challenging to secure a junior doctor job in NHS/non training job in NHS as numbers of Internal Medical Graduates is increasing every day.
if you're in the same boat then this Video is for you. After having GMC registration you have make an account on trac job/NHS jobs/NHS Scotland websites and start applying for the desired jobs. But if you and unable to secure it you can try other way as well. How??
You can directly land into a training job ik the NHS UK after just clearing a very simple and basic exam that is MSRA exam. If you to work as a GP/General practioner for rest of your life and want to stay in UK then this beat option you can consider. After getting into training you will be GP consultant with a handsome pay equal to NHS hospital consultant pay. Things are explained in more details in the video.
What you have to do for GP training in UK?
Book your MSRA exam that will be in coming September for February 2025 induction, and ace it with a good score.
For my training job is more secure as a first job in NHS as you are doing training here consultant and seniors don't expect more from you and they loves to teach you and you get 3-4 years visa against non training jon in NHS where you're supposed to provide services with just a year contract that's need to be extend every year.
So think about it and you can avail this as well if interested in GP training.

People just come Germany! I moved out of UK and the NHS Hell! I finished my Residency and during my residency I got a decent pay. I made a starting salary of around 60K and in the last years about a 100K! And after residency a lot more options with better pay are available!
Hav to learn german language for that
@@earningstar189 well yes of course... but its not that hard. Takes about year, but it provides you with oppertunities in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You can also get the residency of your choice. Rather than wasting time doing non-training posts for like 5 years and hoping to get a training post at one point in life isn't ideal.
how long were you in UK? could you secure any jobs while you were there?
@@MrAmin7000 Just a year for work purposes (FY1). But I grew up in UK for a part of my life. My parents still live in in UK since 2000 or 2001 (around that time).
Can you please tell what kind of exams we have to give to work as a doctor in Germany. Thanks

Sir what about CREST form ? Don’t we need that to enter the GP training or any other speciality training ?
I’ll explain this in few days in a separate video sorry it’s a big topic can’t write in comments. Yes it’s needed for all specialities
Sir. Thanks to you I have cleared my OET, but what about Ireland pathway? As plan seats are not available
wat if we dont want GP training? anything else left as an option! or can we just secure GP job temporarily? n move to other job if we get later on?
Sir, is there any MSRA exam centre in Bangladesh?
I want to get into OBGYN training job. If I write the exam in Maybe September 2024, when can I start the job in the UK? Is it still February like in GP?
I think you didn’t listened carefully. For GP MSRA January and September for rest of the specialities only in January. Now you can go for January 2025 for Training starting in Aug 2025
@@DoctorsJourneytoUK thanks
I mean crest form for g.p training
Isn't another round of MSRA in December? That's what I heard.
Can CREST form signed by a consultant who was our supervisor two to three years ago and we have a clinical gap now .I am newly GMC registered .I have three year training experience but moves here with a spouse visa .
I think these things are very very clearly mentioned on the crest form first page if you have worked with someone in last years she can sign your form, but please check on the first page of your form. Everything is mentioned in detail.
Doc, if i clear the MSRA exam to start gp training, do i still need to get the CREST form signed here in my home country ?
Yes off course

For GP for psychiatry and other specialties in Oc/Nov
@@DoctorsJourneytoUK when can I write msra in 2024..and when will the application start date... As am so clueless what to do now..
It will be in September. You can google it please
@@DoctorsJourneytoUK thank you
I didnt get anything...how do we apply for msra?
You don't apply for msra.
You apply for training on Oriel website
They check your application and then you get invitation for msra
Watch my video about oriel account if needed
Can we enter in any other speciality through msra
Yes you can. I’ll make separate video on it
Do you think its good to go for Mrcs part a instead of mrsa?
It’s good yes but mrcs part a is not gonna give you a job. As I mentioned if you’re are interested in GP then you can do this way
@@DoctorsJourneytoUK understandable, do you think if we do mrcs part a, would it increase the chances of getting a job?
Yes off course
But to me it’s all about luck
I see, thank you for your help doctor.
Even GP jobs are getting lesser in future
Sir who is eligible to sit for msra, can i take mrsa with gmc registration but no clinical experience
Yes. Post house job experience is need I think 1 year please Google this question you'll the answer
One of the eligibility requirements for ST1 GP training requires you to have 12 months NHS experience + the CREST form ….theres no way for you to be sitting in your home country without doing NHS experience and applying for MSRA…
Please read properly before doing misleading comments. I wish this should be criteria but till date this is not.
Please read following copy pasted from HEE website for GP
