These days I'm reading a lot of posts about how getting a job after GMC registration becomes very difficult for a new graduate without no much of experience, this makes me so anxious and affraid especially in my case I obtained my diploma in Dec 2021 and since then I can't find a job in my home country after applying in many hospitals. Is this going to affect my chances of getting a job there even a non-training job. Please answer me

You're welcome! Yes, there have been people who have been able to book. GMC may roll out more seats, so keep an eye out!

Hi Dr. Ibreez. Thank you so much for the amazing video as always. I graduated from medical school this year. As per our college we just need to do 1 year of internship. In order to qualify for GMC registration, do I need to do an extra year of internship ? Thanks once again.

1.I graduated in china in 2020 . Due to covid i came back to india in the middle of my internship.Now I’m planning to join internship in india. I have a gap of 1 and half years. Does this gap affect my gmc registration?

In the gap i have cleared my license exam of my country. Mainly I concerned about getting jobs in nhs.Because most of them told me that having gap like this will reduce the chance of getting nhs jobs. Is it true?

I still have a question though. After passing all the required exams (IELTS, PLAB 1, PLAB 2), can we apply for FY2 straight away, or is working experience outside of UK also necessary? And if it is, how long do we have to work outside of UK before being able to start FY2 AFTER having passed all the mentioned exams? Some say 12 months, some say 24 months.
If there is anyone who can provide answer to this I would be truly grateful.
You don't need prior experience as long as you have full registration.

2) what happens if my contract with the NHS is over but Ive not yet managed to pass the mrsa and get placed in a core training ? Will I have to get back to my home country and apply for the exam once again from there ?
1) You get a job and then you're sponsored for a visa.
2) You can find yourself another non training job.

You don't need your country's license to get GMC registration.
Dear Dr Ibreez, I have a question. When I get a job in the NHS with the tier 2 visa and i take my spouse with me who's also a mbbs doctor so can he practice in the uk as a doctor or will he have to go through the same procedures that i had to do to get the job?

Only if you don't make a relevant job application and don't apply appropriately.

How do you choose the hospital to do the FY2 standalone? For example, I have interest in Paediatrics and Geriatric medicine, so how will I know which hospital will be apt for me to gain the required experience?

Hi if I have cleared plab 1 and plab 2 but I still havent completed my internship like say 8 months are remaining, should I apply for provisional registration or should I wait for my internship to complete and directly apply for full gmc registration as Plab 2 is valid for 2 years.

Is your medical college not listed on WDOMS? Or not listed on GMC?

Non training- you apply yourself to the hospitals you want to work in. Training- you rank the hospitals based on your preferences and you will be allocated as per your score.

Does gap years before getting into medical school matter or affect in gmc reg or finding a job in nhs ? ( I had huge gap years more than 6 years while I was doing engineering and then droped out to medical school )

As they need certificate of good standing and my country only gives it when i have full license after clearing licensing exam of my country

We first need to do an FY2 job after getting GMC registration, it’s a second year foundation programme like an internship and after completing FY2 you need to write a CV and apply for jobs

After 5 years you apply for indefinite leave to remain, and then citizenship a year after that.

Yes.
Does every img who gets GMC verified get a job for sure?
GMC registration does not guarantee a job. Getting a job in the NHS is a process in itself for which you need a good application and good interview skills.

If GMC registration takes only a week can a person who took PLAB 2 in may can start f2 standalone in August
