Hello, I am graduating from Poland(EU) this year (2022) and I would like to apply to FY1(2023) , so I will have a gap of one year between graduating and starting FY1. Will the UKFPO ask me what have I done during this 1 year gap or that applies only to 2 year+ gaps ? @@theorangecandle Yes infact! when you fill in the application for UKFP, gmc only want to know if you would be working or be engaging in activities that would make you eligible for a full registration with the GMC, it is not to scrutinize you in any way. So you could either write , no plans , study leave , volunteering , clincial observation...etc etc and if you were to do an internship just make sure it does NOT fulfill the GMC criteria in order to be eligible for UKFP since you do not want to be overqualified. Hope that helps :)

The North is lovely but rural and isloated, with some limitations in terms of career development or so I was told. You can't apply for UKFP if you've done an acceptable pattern of internship.
Then what’s the SFP program? And is it different from FY2?

As a non trainee? No, it was for one year. Then we applied for a training grade CT1, which rotated to CT2.

In EU where the medical degree is 6 years, does the 6th year count as an internship or it must be done after the uni?
the 6th year is counted as an internship year. so you would be given full registration back in the uk by the gmc
