20:30 This sabrina cost him the game. It's amazing how these players can't do math. Weezing 30 + 20 poison + 20 self dmg from arcanine + 60 arbok next turn = arcanine dead. Then you have a full hp arbok against a 0 energy moltres.
True, we have to remember that over half the people playing the game are children so you'll run into a lot of bad plays like that. Can't wait for a ranked mode cause rolling children is fun, but not a challenge at all 😂
@@bailey356 You couldn't be more wrong mate. People always say this about pokémon games but children rock the adults consistently in these games. The worst players are the adults that are exhausted from work/life in general and/or are only paying 50% attention so not actually thinking. Or they are drunk.
@@SenpaiTorpidDOW This happens in the actual tcg as well, which is interesting to see in person. Even when adults aren't going to take things easy on the kids (senior division players especially), they end up losing still to the kids who are playing incredibly well anyways. Of course not everyone will experience the same, but kids doing way better than some adults can/will happen. Super cool to see. (I organize my local game store's events)
@SenpaiTorpidDOW nah dude kids are trash at these games and I'm talking kids not like teens cause I put them in a different category for video games. I have younger siblings and cousins, I'd say maybe one is competent enough to play the game properly. Also kids don't have money and therefore they can't build all the decks therefore they also can't keep up with the metas so even if a kid is decent at the game they also either have to have funds to spend on the game or they have to get lucky enough with the packs they get to be able to run meta decks. Like most of the top players are going to be adults like for all card games and that's just that. And not to say that there won't be a couple kids that are top players cause there will be, but I do think the majority of the bad players I have encountered are children due to the names they have. Most kids are trash at these games and even the ones that are good generally don't have the funding to compete, so kids are worse at card games.
@@Sagittarial-A- I agree some kids are good at the game, just most aren't very good and they have to be good and have enough money to build the top end decks. Also most kids are bad, but it's okay they're learning, and I don't want to continue to dunk on them all day so I hope ranked does come soon.
Seems to be a trend. Gardevoir is also notoriously hard to pull from the Mewtwo pack, and it plays a similar role to Moltres as a supporter to the real ace of the deck.
Meanwhile I only opened about 30 char packs and built the full deck with an extra Char EX. And now, 50+ MewTwo packs later I still have no MewTwo EX and no Gardevoir at all, but I have about 6 Gengar EX… its crazy
Game is really fun big down fall is only 3 missions pre day the funny part is after you open your free 2 packs and just log in the daily is all ready done 😂😂
Hasn't been my experience. Arcanine will set up way faster than Mewtwo can get Gardevoir online, and if you can get one kill before they send out Mewtwo, they're cooked. Plus, Moltres can take out Mewtwo in two hits alone with Giovanni, or at least soften their Mewtwo up for Arcanine to OHKO it. The biggest thing is that you gotta slow down their Gardevoir set up. Which is why you cut the Amber package for 2 Red Cards. Red Card is stage 2 deck disruption.
any interesting modern greninja deck? i'm lacking 1 greninja for the 2 set but i'm planning one with 2 bruxis specially and maybe 1 lapras ex or 1 articuno ex to tank
Cut the Aerodactl and Old Amber for 2 Red Cards. Aero as you said is really weak. And pivoting into old amber is not good off a Sabrina. Might as well give them a Growlithe if so. Or better yet, switch into Arcanine or Motres who can tank hits. No matter what, the deck is 2 kills you die, so why run a basic with less HP as a pivot? Arcanine thrives on pressure. Once you have 3 energy on Arcanine (which can happen really fast) your opponent is on the clock as Arcanine will sweep everything. And if they Sabrina back your dog, you simply put out Moltres and start softening the front line for Arcanine. The deck is more flexible without Old Amber imo, so cutting that package for just more disruption with Red Card (at least until we get better tools/supporters) is the right call imo. I agree though, the deck is a Sleeper, and Arcanine, contrary to popular belief is one of the best ex Pokemon in the deck, and the best partner for Moltres.
Is it possible they’ll release a Rare Candy card that could allow someone to add 10points to either HP or card damage, at least until the end of the match?
@@Dunsie no, not a basic pokemon - you dilute your starting hands by adding more basic pokemon (and you dilute your pokeball draws too) That's the whole point of running a fossil to begin with.
