I've been golem recently as well, gio seems to be a good thing to start considering including, as now with all the celebi's and mews running around it seems 130 damage is the benchmark to be swinging for, I personally liked digglet* still as well over something like aerodactyl just for the fact that it stalls well and generally had a good chance to put out some chip while doing so.
I like using the golem deck with a drudegon as a tank and a chatot because it can come in handy, also use geo but I'm not sure he really goes in this since I really only get golem in after the drud and 140 is normally enough by that point

If Aerodactyl is meant to tank some damage, why not use mew ex, it's effective, basic pokemon and you can take it back to your hand and not let opponent kill it
my deck is only 2 golem lines, one of each from both boosters, and then the rest is trainers/items. no other pokemon. winning an absurd amount of games with it
Aero is definitely a lost opportunity. The designers should have known to make it so you can't evolve Pokemon on the bench instead of the active spot. Hopefully they edit the card and make that change otherwise it's a F teir card Edit: I really love Aerodactyl. It's one of my favourite designs of all time. I was really hoping to see it be a top meta threat with this new EX. The sad fact is its just a bit underwhelming and clunky to use. It's not the worst Pokemon in the whole game by far, but it's in the bottom 1/3 if EXs no doubt. I've been playing tcgs for over 20 years and I I've played this game for 1-2 hours every day since it came out, so I'm not just taking out my ass
@i8gsus32 yeah F might be too harsh compared to every other card in the game, but amongst the other EXs it's pretty bad. It's HP is mid for an EX, and it's damage is really bad for an EX. It's ability is almost unusable because hardly anyone evolves in the active spot. Also most of the best Pokemon in the game are basic EX Pokemon like Pika, Mewtwo, and now Celebi. You saw in the video that he could hardly make use of it. Changing its ability would allow it to actually be usable in stopping all the guard and surperior spam happening
@@apeckx5090 i think if you ignore the ability its not too far off of Starmie EX (Which is a good EX) Aero has 10 more HP and 10 less damage. I think he just has to be in a more agro deck (Maybe Primeape or Marowak) and not a golem deck and it will shine more. 140 is good HP since a lot of people are targeting 130 HP.
Why not use marowak instead of aerodactyle he hits harder most of the time and can 1 shot exs sometimes considering aerodactyles ability isnt that great
I tried to make golem work but its impossibile. Aerodactyl sucks. The new primeape was ok since it only needs 1 energy. Also 2 marshadow is a must. But its still not enough

I tried making this deck work and the best success I’ve found is with Meowth. Maybe a Chatot variant might be better too.

can golem technically tank the most damage out of all pokemon? with 160 health + 30 + 10 from blue its almost enough to tank a charizard hit
yess 160 dmg of 5 energy blastoisex is not enough. kinda sad
yes, survive alot of Mewtwo because of this...and the energy curve is good

Iam running golem with 2 Druddigon and 1 marshadow so it combos nicely into the meta with its 120 dmg, add a gio and bye celebi and mew etc.
Im running same exact deck. Its going well in the event matchs. I'm currently 9/4 win loss

Druddigon might be a nice tank. Just use leaf to pull it back when you have golem set up
Alakazam + Salazzle has been fun to counter celebi decks

F tier is a bit radical. It’s good to have to waste resources of your opponent to retreat. What your asking for is another busted card

I'm all for buffing Aero by restricting the bench from evolving. I mean, if it stops Mewtwo-Gardevoir then fine by me

Run Golem or Machamp line, 1 x Hitmonlee, 1 x Marshadow
Run 1 old golem to hit mewtwo for 150
Take out Leaf and put Gio
