    The number one and only reason I needed Logic is for the iOS GarageBand -> Logic workflow. It’s insane to go from making a beat while taking an… (iPad to various places) to importing into Logic and utilizing the full force of Logic. The only way I start a song is through GB for iOS and then I import to Logic on my Mac Mini and change the stock plugins to more expansive ones. No other DAW can match this. GB for iOS is so quick and easy I can go from 0-100 in minutes and keep the creativity going.

    The great thing about Logic is the fact that ideas can be put together quickly intuitively without any hiccups. The price is insane for the quality of this D.A.W.

    Very nice overview. Really reawakened my interest and gusto for Logic. I used Logic 9 (before the modern X came out) and it was a pain. I switched to Ableton that I use for a few years now but I just cant adjust to it. For example: why are the track editing items (like pan, volume) in arrangement view on the right side, when we read from left to right, the track starts on the left side and all DAWs in history had it on the left side? Just to be different or has it any advantages? Or why are the tracks in arrangement view horizontal but in clip view vertival? It gives me headaches even after years of using it. I like the logic solution better and more in the flow. Why flip it? I’m not saying AL is bad, its awesome, but there’s just a few things I just cant get used to.
    Generally I like the Logic clean and organised interface very much and the whole workflow seems more linear and structured to me and personally I like that.
    Just a shame even the demo doesn’t run on my OS 10.13

      You can use drum machine designer for that - inside of every pad with a sample is a quick sampler. You can actually play just that one instrument in the kit up and down the keyboard if you want with the time stretch turned on. Didn't figure this out until recently.

    yes Logic has a fantastic workflow,amazing tools, best sampler and autosampler...BUT after trying Cubase 11 I think that it sounds better than Logic, much cleaner,when you import an audio file the quality is the same..crystal clear sound, when I import into Logic it sounds kinda mp3 compressed to 256...dont know is that because of the fact that logic don't support 32bit float files or else..But im so sad about this..and im a big Logic x fan...regards and thank u for your videos...

      Did you go to Logic>Preferences>Recording and check the 24-bit box, as well as confirm that you are recording to uncompressed AIFF file types? Also, you may want to make sure that the Logic>Preferences>Audio section shows Summing set to "High Precision 64-bit". Also, what format files are you importing to Logic? Are they uncompressed .wav files? Logic can definitely reveal the limitations of sound sources. I get incredible fidelity out of Logic Pro X 10.5.1. I hope you are able to do the same! Peace.

    3 reasons not to use Logic Pro:
    1) Converts imported 32 bit FP files into 24 bit. Can't even do a 32 bit FP bounce either.
    2) Summing stacks within summing stacks is still not a thing.
    3) Mac only.
    Flex time and flex pitch is great though.

    • @drvoodoo3073

      1. 32 bit file export was introduced last year.
      2. Summing stacks within summing stacks was introduced 2 years ago.

    • @Kiloeve
      @Kiloeve 4 месяца назад

      @@drvoodoo3073 Yes, but say that you export a file in 32-bit that peaks over 0dB, Logic will still flatline it. And true, but you can't have as many nesting layers as in other DAWs, such as Tracktion, Studio One, and REAPER, for example. Now, yes, audio shouldn't peak above 0dB and you may not need nesting, but it's still should be an option. The 3rd reason is outrageous, though, as it used to be on Windows, I believe, before it was bought by Apple.

    • @drvoodoo3073
      @drvoodoo3073 4 месяца назад

      @@Kiloeve You CAN actually have unlimited nesting Track Stacks, there's a simple hack for it. There's a RUclips video titled "Logic Pro X Nested Track Stacks - Solved" by a RUclipsr named Ron Allen. My custom default Logic template for example has unlimited Track Stack nesting. I can keep nesting the Stacks as much as I want but after real world testing I've found that 4-5 levels deep is more than I could ever need, "unlimited" just starts getting messy anyway.

      @@erikfox8471I never stated it has 32bit FP file support, (it does freeze in 32bit I believe...) I pointed out a summing engine does not relate to his statement re file bit depth.
      Point is 24bit vs 32bit files? Great if your editing, using offline DSP functions (Denoise,offline manipulation etc) , but in a mix..
      Multiple 32 bit Vs 24 bit files in a full session.. Glad it works for you..
      Even in Film Post, 24bit works in a surround mix.
      Bit Depth mattered from 8 to 16, 16 to 24bit.... But at 24bit (files) 32 is a diminishing return... As for multitrack files that is...IMO

      I'm not going to suggest or deny your wrong... But Im not going to fall into this daws better than that..... Because there's tracks Ive imported and mixed in logic from cubase, that I felt sound better in the final mix....
      I love Steinberg... I love Apples approach (they've kept Gerhardt and the team doing what they do.. all from c-lab days..) Im loving Black magic and their Fairlight page..... Im loving Harrisons version of Adour... It seriously is the most "analog" sounding daw I've done a mix in....
      Reaper, Without doubt is there best of open source.....
      As for protools... In a film environment, but is unfortunately a standard... Its workflow works.. its sounds good, but it due to production compliance and schedules it still its the go to..
      Dont hate on what DAWS people may not agree with.... And dont hate on Protools..... But out of all of it, where we should be concentrating on is not the DAW , but the business model...
