    My favorite part about your “what’s in my bag” compared to all the others out there is the practical applications and specific use cases you align with each piece of gear. It really helps make their functions more visual for the viewer. Excellent stuff, hopefully the mess wasn’t too annoying to clean up!

    Wow I never thought of connecting the DJ with the rode wireless go 🤯. Much better than having to mic individual people for toasts.

    The zoom h1 and rode wireless trick, is what I have been doing for the past couple of weddings and it’s been a lifesaver instead of having the check on the desk levels all the time in case the do stuffs you up on that side

    Youre the guy who got me hooked on the 24-70 2.8 lens! And ive never looked back! From someone who shot with only prime lenses... the 24-70 zoom changed the game for me and I honestly think its the closest thing to being the perfect lens!

    Good video and thanks for sharing. Would just say that a Tascam DR10x is a great addition as backup to plug into the back of a speaker directly as safety. The fact that it is XLR and ready to go makes it so easy.

    Very useful video. I think a lot of videographers take audio for granted. When I invested in lapels, shotgun mic, recorders, I noticed the quality of my videos took a huge leap forward. Also, the Rode VideoMicro is underrated!

  • @fffmpeg
    @fffmpeg 2 года назад

    Don't use the zoom h1n. It has really heavy distortion above 2 volts pp, even if it doesn't show a high signal. Many DJs give much louder audio signals, so it just clips. I have now switched to the tascam dr-40x and it has a proper line in input.

    Hi Chris, thanks for your video. together it is around 24000 Euro. Interesting to see what you have to spend to get a good wedding video equipment. definitely way to much for me...and then you have to have a good computer for it too ;-) ...in another life.

    Awesome to see all this together, thanks a lot Chris! Btw, maybe you can help me figure something out. I just preordered the a7iv and I’m looking for a good mid range zoom lens for a wedding I have in late December; will be shooting mostly video.
    Definitely going with sigma but, should I get the 24-70 or the 28-70? I don’t care about the price but the quality/ease of use.
    Thanks a lot for all the great advices, as usual! Take care! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

    • @chrisbrockhurst
      @chrisbrockhurst  2 года назад +2

      Both are great options, if you don’t care about price I’d personally go with the 24-70 as it’s built better and heavier. Also 24 is more useful than 28 is. 28 is a tad tight for my liking

    Hey Chris, I’ve been hunting down different gimbals and am curious how much gimbal comparability means to you with whatever camera you are using? I use an a7c and an a7iv and have looking at gimbals. The Ronin Was definitely on my list, as was the RSC and the 2 but I know some of them say they aren’t technically “compatible” but literally don’t even know if that matters because in all my research I haven’t found much about this.

    Hey Chris! Practical question: What do you use as a quick release plate that is compatible between your Ronin and tripod?

    • @chrisbrockhurst

      @@chrisbrockhurst they actually have a two pack for sale on Amazon! I think that would work if I mounted the gimbal to the tripod.
      If I was going to detach the camera from the gimbal, and then mount it to the tripod, is there a base plate would allow them to be interchangeable?
