Love this game... unfortunately there are a handful of people on YT that claim to have can't miss handpays with the machines. I've worked in casino management for 20 years, and there's no secret to any machine. Its all random, and that's really the long and short of the life of a slot machine. The best odds are playing BJ or video poker where the machines are set at 99 per cent RTP. Please don't believe any person who tells you otherwise that there's a "secret to hitting the slots." The only people making money are the people selling this scandalous idea. Just go and have fun, and when you least expect it (as with all of we gamblers), we hit it big. Good luck, have fun 🙂
Oh, absolutely. We know that gambling is a losing proposition. We took on this “challenge” only for entertainment purposes, like all of our gambling endeavors. Keeps things interesting to switch things up a bit. And, even though losing isn’t fun, it’s important for us to show the reality. We much prefer VP, though we haven’t had much luck with that either. But, we enjoy following the strategy of VP, much more entertaining for us than sitting around pressing the spin button on a slot machine. Thanks so much for watching and for the comment:)
@@TheMidlifeRide That's great that you had fun. Its all a craps shoot... the only independent and undecided bonus amount is Wheel of Fortune. When you hit the spin, the bonus is not predetermined when you hit the spin button. The complaint that we're receiving the most is that many of the new games are too expensive per spin, and I'm inclined to agree. A trip for winning, if you can find an older machine, that's one that we own outright and don't pay any sum or royalties to the mfr. or theme producer. Whenever you have a losing streak, don't hesitate to ask a host for free slot play or a comp for a meal... 🙂
@@waynemasters We’re ALWAYS on a losing streak! Lol! You’d think the properties would be begging us to stay, but we barely get comps. They must know we’ll be back regardless.
@@TheMidlifeRide I'm sorry hehe... Some casinos can be as tight as their machines. If ever you're in PA, let me know, we will set you guys up the way it should be, make sure you win 😀
Cowboy Slots never bills their method as can't miss and they don't charge for any information. They just provide it as a suggestion to manage a lower bankroll by choosing an appropriate machine for the denomination and one that is lower volatility so your money lasts longer and gives you a better chance of hitting something. It's about knowing how to pick the right slot for you style of play and bankroll, bankroll management, and walking away without losing too much or when you win a bit. They explicitly say there are no guarantees, that you are most likely to lose, it's all for entertainment, and they constantly preach about problem gaming. They don't sell a fantasy that you are likely going to win. They try to inform you about the ins and outs of slots and their pay tables so you can make better decisions and get more entertainment for your dollar when playing.
This is the second video where they claim the Cowboy Slots method and then do not follow the method. Cowboy Slots method is a 3 reel, maximum of five lines, and no bonus games. Two videos in a row they have screwed this up and then claimed the method didn't work when they never followed it.
I feel like they are playing it like they normally play a regular casino game. The Cowboy slots idea is to create bank roll from a 100. Then quit when you're ahead to remove the original 100 you're started with. Then try to use just the winnings and try to make it grow.
When we play our way, we cash out when we’re ahead, even if it’s just a few $$$. But, he said to cash out when you get to $200. We never got there.
Thanks for trying again..tough ..think I would quit/change machines halfway..definitely put ear plugs in ,.with a great drink server.
I totally agree. Wish there had been another open machine. We should have tried this in the early morning before it gets too crowded. And, I actually brought ear plugs on this trip. Lol! I just forgot to use them :)
I like that you picked the machine you won on for me last time! Just wasn’t in the cards! It was fun watching because you can really feel that you wanted to win a big amount. It gave you a good run that’s for sure! Thanks for trying!💖
We had such high hopes for this one! We might have broken the machine last time. Lol!
@@TheMidlifeRide 🤣🤣🤣
The chances of hitting a handpay on a quarter slot are very slim especially for top dollar you would have a great $10 denom and above! I am jealous that you have a quarter version I would play this machine all the time if I had it
The strategy doesn’t call for a handpay on a 25 cent machine. This is only the first step in his strategy and we’re only supposed to double up, cash out at $200. The final round would be a $10 denom (or 2 credits at $5 each). Unfortunately, we didn’t even make it to round 2. We do love the 25 cent machines and are glad there are quite a few to play around the Vegas strip. Thanks for watching:)
This very true especially quarters
Just a question once you made it to $200 total wasn’t you supposed to cash out take your $100 and put in pocket move to a $1 denom and play $100 on single credit until it turns to $300 then pocket an additional $100 and play $200 on $5 machine until double
Yes. You’ve listed the first 3 steps. Was that your question?
No I guess I explained $200 first part incorrectly on this season you made it to $200 units $100 of your own bankroll and $100 in profits yet you didn’t cash out and move to the $1 denom machine it looked like you were trying to reach $300 total $100 your investment and $200 profits instead of $100 & $100
@@sirericthegreat6501 when did we get to $200? Let me know the time stamp where you think that happened and we’ll take a look.
@@sirericthegreat6501 maybe you’re looking at credits, rather than dollars. We put in $100, which is 400 credits(quarters). So, if you’re seeing 200 credits in the machine, we’re down to $50. If we had doubled up to $200, you’d see 800 credits in the machine.
I think top dollar is higher volatility so I wouldn't use this for step 1. Haven't tried it yet though. In Vegas in a week. Going to try his method.
Top Dollar is #4 on Cowboy Slots’ list of Top 5 Best Slots to Play. We hope you have better luck than we did:) Enjoy your trip!
@@TheMidlifeRide
Ya thanks. Not going to video stuff, but hoping to win some money but who knows. Plan is to try starting with 100$ at least 5 times, we'll see how it goes. Had good luck at Gold Coast off strip in the past with my own system, mainly quarter machines. Made $ 400 last year, was fun.
Well I didn't follow Cowboy Slots method exactly, I did very well and got my first handpay on a China Shore slot machine. $1281. It was #5 on one of his lists of best slots to play. Won 464$ on a tripple double stars machine, and $ 300 on a Blazing 7's machine #2 on his list. I found it hard to double up on a 5 line quarter machine, but did double up playing a couple of quarter machines. I probably wouldn't have played those slot machines on my own, so his advice was quite helpful.
@@qhockeyfan awesome! I can’t believe you won that much on China Shores! Which casino, denom & bet per spin did you play? Same questions on the other machines…
@@TheMidlifeRide It was Gold Coast Casino. I was playing max. $ 2.50 I got the whole screen of Bonus symbols. 375 Free Spins. Re triggered twice 8 spins and ? 36 spins? more. I have picture of screen no video. Some hard core gamblers there said that was a low win for so many free spins. I was playing 1$ Tripple Double diamond 3 credits when won $460 at Rio. I was playing max 3$ on Balleys Blazing 7's when I won $300. Cowboy slots said you have to play max to get progressive and they go quite often. One Gold Coast one is up over 1800 dollars. It should go soon? I also won 800$ on Wheel of Fortune 5$ playing max 2 credits 10$ in Gold Coast high limits. Someone put 400$ in it while I was in and left so I decided to try it couple got two 7's and double diamond. I won 465$ I think playing Pinball in Gold Coast high limit Slots. 10$ a spin but put 200$ in before I got 3 pinball.

Thanks for watching:)
From your video, it doesn't sound like you're having much fun, which is really the whole point! Add to that with a limit of $100, gambling may not be something you can really afford. If you want to make money gambling, you got to start with a little bit more than $100 and be willing to lose it and then just enjoy the ride, no matter how it comes out.
Assuming you haven’t watched many, if any, of our other videos, so I’ll explain. We don’t have a $100 limit, we’re just following the method of Cowboy Slots, which calls for $100 in the machine and attempt to double up before moving to a higher denom. We lose a lot, which is why we start with less and play games we enjoy. We only play with money we can afford to lose, so the entertainment value is what we’re after. This method of putting in $100 was not much fun for us-you got that right. Because we lose, and these particular games aren’t that exciting unless you’re winning, losing through $100 is much more draining for us than losing $20 at a time (which is how we usually play). Btw, cute 🐶 pic:)
Maybe you should know what this players point is before telling them what they can and can't afford. They are testing Cowboy slots method which worked for me at Winstar, I turned $100 into $1980.oo. You really missed the entire point of their video.
@@markmcmahen9442 nice win! Which game?
@@markmcmahen9442 It can happen, for sure. But odds are against it, so if you’ve got only $100, in my opinion, you can’t afford to gamble. Just my opinion. You can have yours too.
This was very excruciating to watch. Thanks for trying though. The only thing I can say about gambling is you have to develop a feeling of when to stop and when to go on. Watching how this machine 'behaved' I already had the feeling this was going to be the outcome. I would have stopped at $50, half the budget !, especially when it started lingering around $50, and try another machine or casino or just go home and try another time.
Good luck next time. Win or lose, we always gain more experience, that's always the beauty of life ! ALL THE BEST !
It was excruciating to play, too! Yeah, we should have moved. We didn’t know we could do that using his method, but now we know! Thanks for watching and commenting:)
That was a good run. You will hit big eventually.
We hope so! Thanks for watching:)
This didn't work for you, because you're playing on the strip where the RTP percentages are the WORST in Vegas. Go to North Las Vegas and try it in the casinos there.
Which casinos do you recommend in North Vegas?
@@TheMidlifeRide Any casino in North LV. The RTP is 93%. The Boulder strip is 94%. While the Strip itself is just 91%.
Cowboy Slots says single line, no bonuses. Adds to volatility.
Top Dollar is #4 on his list of Top 5 Best Slots to play.
@@TheMidlifeRide Yes it is, however per his advice better to use a less volatile machine. Top Dollar is more low-mid volatile. And if you have the ability, maybe better to try the 50 cent to 1 dollar domination to build that bank roll faster on a lower volatile machine first.
Very cool. I like top Dollar $$$. Awesome, finally got the Top Dollar! 60 credits pretty good. Dang, so close to the Triple Diamond. Another top $$. Wow! Another one! Only 15...not good. Nice that you are getting some line hits. You can just feel sometimes, when the machines are getting to the point where they are simply in collection mode...and taking your money (Of course that is just me! 😆)
That pretty much sums up every slot play experience for us. Lol!
@@TheMidlifeRide - I completely understand!

If you go down $50 go to another machine especially if you've been on it a while I never played the three quarter machine I play the five quarter machine with the 5 lines they usually give good kick backs
We also tried a 5 line and when we went back to try steps 2 and 3, we started moving machines after a bit. Trying the Cowboy Slots Handpay Method on a 5 Line Double Diamond in Las Vegas | Step 1

This is me every time, every machine, I feel for these guys!
Sorry to hear that! We often feel like we’re alone in this. Everyone else seems to be winning all the time, but we know we’re not seeing the whole story there.
I see there was twice in the session where you reached over 400 credits I mistakenly thought that 2nd time was you 2nd hundred hit my mistake thanks for responding
No worries. I seriously started to second-guess myself! Surely, I would have remembered winning, right? 😂
Why didn't you change to a machine that was paying out? I always go to another machine.
Well, if you consider that we tried 5 different machines, all with $100 in, it wouldn’t have made a difference this time around.
Better odds playing 1$ 2 credit max with like a free games feature or a 2x,4x, 6x 👌
We definitely prefer the games with bonus features, but we wanted to try to stick with the games recommended by Cowboy Slots.
What was the reason you were only going with 3 credits when Cowboy Slots calls for 5 credit max spins on the 25 cent machines?
See my previous answer. Also, we really only wanted to play the top 5 and we were sticking with one casino for the most part. We’ve had trouble finding the right denoms on the right machines (without variations). I think Cosmo does have a 25 cent, 5 credit max Top Dollar on the other side of this bank of machines and we can try it next time. But, if it winds up being a Double Top Dollar or some other variation, we probably won’t.
Nice which casino are you playing at?
This was at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas:)
Stayed on that machine way way too long. There were several times where you went more than 10 times without any kind of kickback. I wouldve left after the 1st time it went 10 or more without any kickbacks or wins
We’ve learned a lot since then. We started moving regularly when we tried steps 2 and 3.
that particular machine, the top dollar, seems quite limited in terms of opportunity to win. Plus, it's not really paying you back very well all along the way, so may want to consider finding a different machine in the first place.
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. We put $50 in this same machine for a member appreciation event and got up to $300 before cashing out. Top Dollar is #4 on Cowboy Slots’ Top 5 slots to play, which is why we picked it for his method.
This really isn’t cowboys method for a first machine, but good luck!
How so? Because it’s only a 3 credit max bet?
Nunca acreditei nisso dessa maneira.
O que você não acreditou?
Dang it Top Dollar! 😂 But wow…stayed in the game for a long time 👌! No chance if you don’t take the chance, right!? One of these days… Thanks for sharing 👍!
Casino 2-TMR 0. Exactly. We can’t win if we don’t play. We also can’t lose if we don’t play 😂
@@TheMidlifeRide 😂👍
High volatile. If not getting kick backs atleast one every other. Is not good. If it takes more than 5 spins to get a hit. Its no good. You should not have to spin over 20 times to get a kick back. Let alone 30 or more to get a bonus. It is Hugh Volatile.
We will definitely not stay at machines that are not paying. This was a confusing experiment for us and we’re learning as we go. Hopefully we’ll have better luck next time. Thanks for the info:)
Efetivamente aprecio seus dedicação.
Espero que algum dia valha a pena!
I think the script for all casino videos is the same. " Come On"
Yeah, we need to get more creative with how we talk to the machines! Sometimes, I say nice things and they seem to reward me a bit:)
There are different top dollar machines I never seen a .25 cent one.
That’s all we’ve played until recently when we tried $1 and $5 machines. We prefer the .25 so we have more chances to get the bonus:)
for sure i'd do the same if i had the option

You should have change machines!!!!!
Maybe so, but you never know. We’ve hit the 1000 credit Top Dollar on this same machine before!
60 quarters
A lot better than 15 quarters!
Over 30 minutes of play time tho. Too bad the waitress didn’t stop by to ask y’all for a drink! 😒
True!
you are picking the wrong machines. you need low volitility slots.
for all denoms.
We stated in the first video that we’d be trying to stick to Cowboy Slots Top 5 Best Slots to Play. Top Dollar is number 4 on that list.
Wow you really got a crappy machine there. You gave it alot more chances than I ever would have. Terrible.
Lol! Agreed. It did not pay out this time. We’ve hit the 1000 credit Top Dollar on the same machine, though. So, it was hard to give up hope:)
That machine SUCKS🤣🤣🤣Anxiety just waiting for you to hit 🎰 COME ON🍀OMG 😲 I CAN'T IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY👌TOP. WHATCHA WAITING FOR DAM MACHINE LOL 🤣🤣🤣NICE TOP DOLLAR taking a long time but, It's keeping you both staying in the game🎉🎉it's teasing you now under $20 your killing me🤣🤣🤣 I would of left it! I was really 🙏 for you both. Maybe next time 🎰 💰
This one was the most disappointing to us. We actually hit the 1000 credit Top Dollar on the same machine for another video, so we had high hopes:)
His advice is to only play single bet, not max bet at first. Once you double, then you play max. Try it again, with only doing the single bet.
His first step in the video we watched (link in our video description) is 25 cent denom, max bet - no more than 5 credits for max bet. $100 in and try to double.
@@TheMidlifeRide I had the same outcome following a similar method that I got from a different channel. What's really funny is that a lot of more recent videos on Cowboy Slots channel don't even follow this advice. He made that video over a year ago and the other guy on there (Mike) will start on a 25-cent machine, lose down to $50, then switch to a 2 cent machine with a lower bet, build back up to $100, then switch to a $2 bet on a $1 machine and so forth. They even play "cartoon" games sometimes. That approach makes way more sense than staying on one machine that is no fun and you know is losing. I also tried switching 25-cent machines every 10 spins with no hits (per advice people were giving in the comment on that channel), and that didn't work either. And it was not fun. None of it was fun.
@@grandmaday9575 yeah, after these experiences, we will play whatever we want however we want! After all, it’s our money and our experience:)
