Cowboy Slots says to play the machines that have a max 5 credits at the .25 cent denomination, but in all fairness, those games are really hard to find! Tina and I were able to find a few machines at the Linq where we stayed last time in Vegas. I was never able to double the $100 I put in, but was able to get up to $180. We had been on the machine for a pretty good while, so I finally took the $80 win and left. Then Tina and I proceeded to donate all that back to other slot machines! I love it.."Come on, Let us win!" Oh my gosh! Three Triple Lucky 7s popped up just above the line.
In the video I watched, he said to play no more than 5 credits at the 25 cent denom. Plus, I saw another video where a woman was playing a similar 3 credit machine in Atlantic City I think, and hit for like $700! I think it might be posted on his channel. Either way, thanks for watching :)

You could’ve also switched machines at the 300 credit or 200 credit level. If the machine isn’t hitting you’ve got to move.
I've been moving a lot when I play other slots if I feel the machine isn't doing anything. I just get nervous because what if the next spin is the big one??? No guarantee that another machine would do any better, but we'll definitely consider it in the future.
I agree!! Once she got below 200 credits on this game, it’s almost impossible to get it back up to 800 credits.

Just was in Vegas snd then Laughlin. No big wins at all.
If you stay a whole day playing off and on, you can still blow through a lot of money.
Maybe not winning is more realistic than all these theories.
First rule: change machines when you get too many dry spins. When I sit down to p,ay, I’ll move if the first five spins are dry.
That’s easy to remember. But, if you do get a line hit within the first 5 spins, how many dead spins after that is too many?

Every time I play the old 3 reel machines at Cosmo, I've lost a majority of the time. The only time I win on the old 3 reels is when I play $1 denom or above. Thanks for doing this!

@@TheMidlifeRide As I understand it, You play until you double or lose. I don't think he ever specified staying at 1 machine, but I could be wrong. I would combine his method with the 20 dollar method.

If I’m not mistaken.. u need to start with $1 denom so you can profit $100 y to move on to $5 denom
The $1 denom is step #2. We might have to skip straight to that one if we can’t win on step #1!
I may just do it to pro long my stay on the machines. I probably would have changed machines after half way through the 100.
Looking back, maybe we should have switched machines. But, you just never know. It could have gone either way.
I tried his technique on triple double diamonds and tripled the 100!!

They can be tough to find, even on the Vegas strip. We haven’t been to any casinos in FL yet, but we hope to on one of our trips down there:)

So I believe the problem is your jackpot is high for a 25 cent denomination. that 6000 for 3 credits even if it counted for 75 cent denomination (which to my understanding it counts as 25 still correct me if i'm wrong) it seems high still. I play on a 1 dollar slot that has a jackot of 4000 at 2 credits and it seems to hit alot more.
So, the jackpot would be $1500 on our 25 cent machine and $4000 on your $1 denom. Do you think the 25 cent should have no more than $1000 (4000 credit) jackpot? That would be right in line with what you’re playing.
I think the strategy is to start with a 5 payline machine at 5 credits on .25 denom

@@TheMidlifeRide I think it's becuase .25 denom machines are hella hard to win with, so if your betting 5 credits on 5 paylines when you hit a payline or a bonus makes it easier to increase your winnings to the $200 goal

Triple stars..triple double…. $0.25 single line-5 credit max for $200 Double $ then move to $1 single credit only- triple $ -move to $5 single credit only….then $10 single credit or $5 x 2. If you are still in the game move to $25 machine single credit. He plays one line only machines

I’ve heard him mention this when discussing other games -like Top Dollar (maybe Double Top Dollar). He’s said to look for the lesser credit amount because there’s no more benefit to spending the extra credits. Thoughts?
Very interesting concept, although the basic reel machines are just not my favorite.
Yeah, they’re pretty blah unless you win big! But, we rarely get bonuses and features on the other games, so it’s all about the same to us :)
The Vegas Strip has the WORST RTP percentages in Vegas. Best to go to North Las Vegas and try this method there. Otherwise, it's really not going to work well for you.
Maybe Fremont would be better than the strip.

I've never seen this work for anyone other than Cowboy Slots
I saw a video he linked where a woman hit like $700-$800 on step 1 on a 75 cent max machine. It gave me a lot of hope. I wonder how many failed attempts she had before winning that session.
I notice Cowboy slot plays in Indian casinos around the country.maybe that's why he has better luck in those casinos than the ones in vegas. Who knows.

You might consider a tripod or some kind of camera stand so you video is stable. Do not want to get sea sick watching your video.
We were using the DJI Pocket 2. It has built-in stabilization, so not sure what the issue was here.

When the credits were down to 200, maybe you should have cashed out because with this machine not hitting, it would be impossible to get back up to 800 credits to double your $100.

Are you getting any resistance from the casinos because you are filming?
We have permission to film from a handful of casinos in Vegas. We try to stick to those, especially for the longer videos.

That’s not cowboy method. The 25 cent machine should be 5 credits max not 3. Cowboy said only play when there is constant kickback either same as bet amount or greater. Lastly, without much kickback you should stop at $50 but you didn’t.

Why did you bet 3 instead of 1?
Because for Cowboy Slots’ method, the 1st step is a 25 cent denom, max bet of no more than 5 credits. This machine had a 3 credit max bet.
You need to be a front for IGT to win.

I believe what you did wrong, it’s not to choose a machine with the five pay lines. I’m just saying. Because on cowboys slot channel says to choose a five pay lines machine with $.25 denomination slot machine.

It’s gambling; of course you aren’t going to come out ahead every time. The casinos wouldn’t stay in business. But over the long haul, it is possible to come out ahead. You must be able to ride out the dry periods.
We’ve come out ahead maybe one day, maybe even an entire week over many, many years. We’re just not very lucky. But, we enjoy playing for the entertainment value:)

Me and my girlfriend plays a lot of these machines. and I'll put $100 in a machine. and if it's hitting. I will stay on it. as long as it's hitting up and down. But when you go through. $50 and you hit nothing. It's time to get off that machine. That's the way me and my girlfriend plays Good luck to you.

This isn't really the cowboy slots challenge. One of the base rules of that is max bet has to be 5 credits and minimum line hit pays 5 credits.

I have done the challenge and I have never gotten a hand pay out of it but I have turned $100 into $400-$800 a few times, I have always started with triple red hot 7s 0.25 denom. You should have pulled out when you got down to $50 and tried another machine. Too few line pays for the amount of spins.

Personally, I have not had a great track record on Triple Stars machines. I've been doing a lot better on Triple Double Diamond and Triple Diamond machines. I've won 8 out of the last 10 times on Triple Double Diamond machines. Last trip to our nearby casino (Bowler, WI), I hit 360 quarters and 540 quarters on BACK-TO-BACK hits on a Triple Sapphires quarter machine. Perhaps you could trip your $100 experiment on a Triple Double Diamond or Triple Diamond machine someday? Your luck will probably be no worse, and it might be better.

Thanks for sharing. As for myself, I've tried cowboy slots method several times now and lost every penny doing exactly what he recommends, ie; the old 3 rell machines. I'm done with his advice, I did far better just playing the penny slots on the casino floor. I feel he is doing a dis service by promoting this crap. My $.02 worth.
Sorry to hear that you didn’t have any luck either. Have you ever tried the higher denoms (starting at step 2 or 3 of his method?) We’ve considered skipping step 1 altogether since we can’t seem to get past it.

We tried a bunch. This was just the first attempt. You just never know. You can move and get the same result or stay and win. There’s just no way to predict the right choice.

While I like and respect cowboy slots I don’t follow their or anybody’s advice. I have won over 150 handpays in my 35+ years of gambling but I’ve also lost big time. I have seen hundreds of people win huge progressives on penny slots( highest one I’ve ever witnessed was a $103,800 jackpot ) The best advice is to never gamble and that the house always wins in the end. Las Vegas is the worst place to play slots nowadays. It's like buying water at the airport.

Here's a fun clue.....switch machines, he never said play it all in one machine. Cowboy Slots, I thank you for that method, it's the only way me and my friends gamble now. 9 times out of 10 it works beautifully. Mind u I go to the casino 2 times a week and know what machines hit and which ones that don't. The same machines will hit every time. That's why I'm always having to wait on the machine I want to play cuz the locals beat me to it.
