Freddie will always be far better than the trash of today.. Live Aid 1985 - the only singer that made that crowd interact back, had cold shivvers down my back.
@@patrickgreene2663 nope far from it I just appreciate artists, Freddie was a very intelligent man who had a lot of talent whether you hate on him because he was gay is for you we are all entitled to our opinion, nobody can help who they are and who they fall in love with whether man or woman, he didn’t go about broadcasting his sexuality he kept it private, being one of the most famous people on planet earth must be tough and not being able to do anything without paparazzi fallowing your every move must be horrific especially back then every body knew the rumours but he was entitled to his own privacy, oh just a question have you tidied your room and got a job for the summer holidays yet?
Stephen Flint honestly after I saw the movie, I was like I gotta listen to everything. At that time their music was different and so much work went into it. And that’s what I love, plus Freddie seemed to passionate about what he did. All the guys seemed like that. And now I appreciate all the music they did. I can’t stop listening to everything. Now all music is literally garbage... other than a handful of ppl
Here we are now..2021. Freddie was truly ahead of his time, and it’s so sad that the world didn’t always fully accept him as him. It made finding happiness for himself a lot harder. We love you, we miss you, you are forever with us Freddie.
Happiness is an entirely internal thing … The way other people feel about you literally has nothing to do with your inner world. That’s an internal activity 🤡👋
Oh he found happiness. He found it way more times than most do. Living a privileged life and having access to places and things the normies don't I'm sure helped greatly. Also all of those parties he threw and attended where things that can't even be thought about here happened and I'm sure the definition of true freedom existed at these gatherings in more ways than one could count. The irony of finding that happiness and experiencing that freedom would ultimately be the things that cost him his life. Unknowingly of course.
I think we can safely say Freddie was more than "accepted" - he was celebrated as one of the bigger selling artists of all time, and he celebrated that fact to the max, too. The general public couldn't help him come to terms with his own sexuality and impulses.
When I first heard both Freddie and Brian May give interviews as a boy I thought they would be leery, crude, hard rockers so was astonished at their quiet, well spoken voices, sensitivity and intelligence: both great guys. Brian especially has a sort of schoolboy innocence to his personality even now.
Naaa, I mean, you see him attractive and see his teeth as something nice because he is Freddie Mercury, that is all. Women are tend to be amazed by men of power, talent or charisma. If he were not Freddie himself, you wouldn't think what you do now. And yes, he is a legend, one of my favourite singers of all time, pure talent.
An intricate human being, that noone understood. These interviews remind me of Janis Joplin. Meant for the stage, meant for the music, but really uneasy on the interviews. One of a kind human beings that we still worship all these years later. Something that has always struck me about all these interviews of people like this - noone ever put the camera down, and just asked - how are you? Rest in peace, Freddie. Thank you so much for sharing yourself with us.
I disagree. People can understand these people and musicians like this still live present day. The difference is they avoid interviews. This was a different time period when music stars were bigger in fame than the ones present day and the only way their fans got a sense of who they are as a person was from interviews whereas now artists connect with their fans through social media to give them a sense of who they are personally. Back then record labels invested more money in their music stars and part of the contracts were these forced interviews (aka promotion) and touring.
I'm binge watching all these videos because of the movie. I can't believe I barely knew about him and now that I do I'm kind of obsessed. What an amazingly talented man.
He had such a great voice. He was very talented. I just found out that Boheim Rhapsody was written just by him and I'm so proud of that. So many artist today can't reach his level and they never will. He was a king and he passed away too early. I wish I could go to one of their concerts but I was born in 2001, so there's no chance meet him anymore. But his songs will stay forever♥
What a singer, what a performer, what a human being. Even though I was born after he died, I feel like I know him, I miss him! I wish I was there in all of his concerts RIP.
***** His speaking voice and accent is due to his education in India under the British system and his family's living in England. A very well spoken, lucid man. A sad loss all those years ago.
This is by far one of the best interviews of all time he’s so honest and open about interviews not being his favourite part of the job and still being friendly and calling him darling love how he’s just having a drink and a smoke and talking about what he loves to do
Freddie Mercury is certainly on a short list of very rare, unique, immensely talented human beings, who are constantly imitated, yet never replicated. Queen as a band are legendary, so I oftentimes think about how vastly different the music world would be, if just a single member were never involved. Thank everything awesome, these four met.
He’s very sure of himself, eloquent & just honest. He really is his authentic self. Never seen anyone being interviewed and smoking and drinking beer at the same time. I watched his movie. He is such a talented guy. I really loved his love story with Mary. Shamed he passed too young. 💜💖

just Z Oh my god I was thinking the same thing... I also feel like the movie didn’t fully embody his intellect as far as his ability to discern the people who came into his life.

Thanks for sharing this interview with Freddie. I’m late finding out about this rock legend after seeing his performance at “Live Aid” last week. I was so impressed that now I want to know everything about Freddie and what he was about as a person and after death, he still fascinating and inspiring. He seems like an easy person to speak with and speaks from his hearth. I found out he didn’t smile very often bc of his crooked front teeth and he had extra back wisdom tooth. But he didn’t want to remove the back tooth bc he felt it would affect he voice. Thank you for inspiring me to be the best and continuing to inspire million after your passing. You were an incredible person as a whole and not for just your musical talents. RIP Mr. Freddie Mercury. 🌹
irish1 he was dating Mary and he realised his real sexuality and that happens to lots of people like Elton John etc so no he didn’t screw anyone in he was an amazing man
How I love this man, I could listen to him talk for hours. He was well educated, had a great sense of humour, and though it's obvious that he wasn't entirely comfortable talking to strangers, press etc., he carried it off beautifully. As someone else posted, it seems weird to miss someone you have never met, but I do miss Freddie, and perhaps more strangely, through his interviews, I feel like I knew him, only a little, but I do. Freddie, you are a legend, and while we, who shared this world with you, carry on, you will never, ever be forgotten, and will be forever loved. xx
A lot of people romanticize the terrible personalities of celebs after they die, but Freddie was actually likeable. Sharp wit, blunt yet eloquent observations, great ability to relax and act naturally during a conversation, opinions on other celebs that are actually make sense and aren't just profanity being thrown around, etc. Some of the media darlings today need a fistful of Xans and a liter of straight vodka to slow their narcissism down in order to actually answer interviewer questions. Ugh. Freddie was a great talent AND personality. It's an understatement, really.
Can't believe how incredibly handsome Freddie is in this video! He has the most gorgeous, mesmerizing eyes with most wonderfully cheeky glint in them! And he had a beautiful face, lovely cheekbones and smile! And combined his incredible charm, talent and aura how could anyone fail to be captivated by him? x
i love the fact that he asked "what do you think?" to the interviewer at 8:37 🥺 he made it look, sound and feel so nice to have a conversation with little details like that omg
Think he was trying for a gotcha moment to catch the interviewer out because he claimed Boy George wouldn't be around that long. And it worked. If Freddie thought he was than it convinced the interviewer too.

His talking voice and singing voice was so difference
That's true
i cant even find myyyy singing voice 😭😭😭😭
Loooooooooove yoooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Yeah
His voice got a bit deeper during the 80s.
Freddie just speaks so intelligently, thoughtfully, eloquently...love listening to him talk. You’re a class act Freddie..I hope he knows how much he was and is loved. Love to you Freddie, ROCK THE ANGELS
Victoria Jones he did drugs and had gay liaisons whilst married. That's a class act?
Cosmic Background Radiation found drugs makes you bad? Don't even get me started on the stigma of homosexuality in the 70s
Cosmic Background Radiation he's more of a class act than you. He would most likely never sit there and judge the way you do. He was to busy making his own success
Convict Tv you sound like a naive child saying that. I'm sure he judged people every single moment of his life. Use intelligence and not emotion when you speak or you risk sounding how you sound now: stupid.
Convict Tv I don't know if you know this... but drugs are illegal 😐. Someone who does drugs is breaking the law. And the immorality of my second statement wasn't in regards to him having gay sex... it was in regards to him CHEATING ON HIS WIFE WHICH IS ADULTERY.
I've been paranoid and sad lately but listening to him talk just makes me feel calm

Such an amazing guy and talent really sucks that we lost him like that.
he has the warmest look in his eyes, damn. you can see all the emotion and sincerity from his songs right there if you pay attention
Ricardo Clemente Definitely!
Man he was such a character.
"Four old ladies rockin' away!" Lmao!
Freddie was elegant and cheeky at same time what a man, unique and extremely talented, makes today’s so called stars look like sewage cleaners!
Agree and I am a Arsenal fan lol the crap that is pumped out today, WOW - they have good voices, but 99% of the music today is written by 4yo's and!!! singers like Freddie, well, the only! Freddie will always be far better than the trash of today.. Live Aid 1985 - the only singer that made that crowd interact back, had cold shivvers down my back.

You missed the 70's when all teenagers were into music and Queen was near the top of the heap.
As a straight man, if FREDDY called me darling I would no lie be grateful....

if Freddie was in the same country I'd die of gratitude
Id launch myself into the sun 100 times in a row just to have Freddie Mercury take another breath
Here we are now..2021. Freddie was truly ahead of his time, and it’s so sad that the world didn’t always fully accept him as him. It made finding happiness for himself a lot harder. We love you, we miss you, you are forever with us Freddie.
Hi Dana,hope you’re okay?
Farrokh Bulsara
As I look back he is the most gifted out of everyone, the way he moved, everything. He was a genius.

Man, you watch the recent movie Bohemian Rhapsody & realize how much Rami Malek nailed Freddie's role & literally became him in action & looks.

When I first heard both Freddie and Brian May give interviews as a boy I thought they would be leery, crude, hard rockers so was astonished at their quiet, well spoken voices, sensitivity and intelligence: both great guys. Brian especially has a sort of schoolboy innocence to his personality even now.

He is so attractive, and his dimples just get me. His teeth give him character. He seems like a genuine blast! He is a legend.

Wow, perfectly said! ❤️
How would you know if they did or didn't put the camera down? 🤔 😀

Woah, his spoken voice is NOT what I expected it to be.
***** yeah, his voice is really different when he speaks than when he sings.
***** His speaking voice and accent is due to his education in India under the British system and his family's living in England. A very well spoken, lucid man. A sad loss all those years ago.
***** thats because he sings in his "falsetto" voice
Ashley Johansson not always... hes mastered both and if you listen to more than bohemian then you could hear it.
Dylan Butler no, most of their songs are in falsetto
This is by far one of the best interviews of all time he’s so honest and open about interviews not being his favourite part of the job and still being friendly and calling him darling love how he’s just having a drink and a smoke and talking about what he loves to do
HIS. EYES. ARE. BEAUTIFUL.
Everything about him is beautiful.
Damn right they are
When he stopped and asked the interviewer what he thought personally; and the most important thing is to be happy... what a human!
