My favourite Queen's songs are: 1. Bohemian Rhapsody 2. Another One Bites the Dust => always plays this at work when someone tenders his/her resignation 3. A Kind of Magic Queen is a very special band to me since I grew up with it from mid teen until late 20's. I was 15yo when Bohemian Rhapsody was released and became a hit, just started Year 10 in a boys school. I remember during recess Bohemian Rhapsody was one of the songs regularly played on the school speakers around the school in 1976. It was a wonderful memory.

Without Freddie and John, it does not have the same feel, closeness, and friendships. They all performed as if brothers from other mothers. Miss the originals, but still have every album!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So hard to pick a favorite, as they were all great in different ways. Maybe Magic as the album and toss up between Breakthru and Under Pressure as song. But also love I Want To Break Free and These are the days.
That was fantastic. This group seemed to carry mulitiple generations as fans. Since I am a GenXer, and Greatest Hits came out the year I turned 12, and got my first stereo, those are the songs I remember. I recall having to get multiple copies of the album on different media. I think the casette version had "Under Pressure" on it, and not the viynl, or maybe it was the other way around. Under Pressure was not only a great song, it was a great video, back when 90% of videos were just filmed performances. I think the video was comprised of shots from the silent movie "Metropolis". It was a huge MTV hit. I would love to see you cover Oingo Boigo. I think since this band was so regional, many people have only heard one or two tracks from their amazing catalog.
Nice work!!! Thanks for your efforts! I found Queen's album in my mother's room , aftet hearing it, I was utterly enchanted by Queen and desperately finding a concrete introduction! Thanks again for your work!!!
I opened this peculiar video that appeared in my recommended (maybe after blasting bohemian rhapsody on repeat) and heard your voice and went, “wait a second…” then I saw the channel name, and I was so excited
Thank you for the video. Sometimes I feel bad for the remaining members of the Queen band but then I think by now they are used to it that no matter what they do or say there will always be people who will keep on criticizing them. They are just normal people like us, they just happened to be talented and loves to make music so they made a living out of it. They became successful and a band that no one else can replace in this lifetime. Freddie Mercury must have told them or made them feel that they should carry on with their lives without him. The movie may not be perfect but I’m one of those who enjoyed it and because of this movie, younger people have became aware of them. Have you seen the people who welcomed them in Korea? Younger generation. The movie and tours introduced them to new fans who are probably watching all the RUclips contents they can find about Queen. Buying albums & merchandise. Let them do whatever they want with their remaining time on earth. If I have a chance I’ll watch their concert even though I know it’s not the same without Freddie. Favorite song. It’s hard to choose one. It changes depending on my mood. Currently on my repeat mode in RUclips: Jesus, Mustapha Ibrahim, Liar, Cool Cat. When I was down last week I keep on playing Spread Your Wings.
Nice video! I've been a huge fan of Queen for years, and had the good fortune to see them play live a half dozen times. Freddie was a great singer and amazing showman.
It’s almost impossible for me to pick a favorite Queen song because each time I think of one, another masterpiece comes to mind. For the moment I’ll say Princes of the Universe because it was the last song I listened to before watching this video. As for a band for you to cover next - Rocks Holy Triumvirate, RUSH!
I first heard "Keep Yourself Alive" (aged 12) on the Pirate Radio station - Radio Luxemburg - broadcast to Britain in 1973 and loved it - especially Brian's "galloping guitar", as well as Freddie's great vocals. Two years later, on 16/12/1975, I saw Queen live at Glasgow's Apollo Theatre (for £2.50!), standing in the 7th row from the stage. Saw them live again at the Apollo in 1977 and 1979. Was very fortunate to see them at Knebworth Park, England in 1986 - never thinking that this would be Freddie's last concert with John, Brian & Roger. Attended his Tribute Concert on Easter Monday 20/04/1992 at Wembley Stadium in London. It was ok, but not the same without Freddie. Cheers for this history of my most favourite band EVER! Thank you Matt 👍
My Nan loved queen! I was too young to actually like the songs but now I’m older the songs just really hit me in ways words can’t describe. Maybe because of my Nan or maybe because of Freddie’s death. I love queen
ok queen is literally my favorite and it’s impossible to pick but i’d say favorite album is either sheer heart attack or the works and my favorite songs are all dead, all dead, brighton rock, white queen (as it began) nevermore, it’s a hard life, liar!! i could go on for days
I saw Queen at the Stadium in Chicago December 1977. I'm in my 60's and still remember Freddie in white leotard and ballet shoes. Somebody tossed a bouquet of flowers on the stage and Freddie threw them back to the audience 1 at a time, I got a red carnation which I kept for many years until one day I realized it wasn't around anymore and it was lost to many moves from apartment to apartment. There will never be another "entertainer" who comes close to Freddie's talent.
I think the first album i had was one of their greatest hits albums. I had come back from a visit with a friend and my parents had oit up new book shelves, a new lamp and a new stereo, complete with 8-track player, record player and cassette player plus am/fm radio. Along with this was a box of random 8 tracks, including one of Queen. I had heard their music before because my mom loved their music. I think my all-time favorite song is Radio GaGa. The melody and lyrics just speak to me.
Why did this video make me cry??? The world may never know,,, they may also never know how much I love Queen. I hope the remaining members are doing amazing. I loved this video
I can’t choose my favorite Queen album, so I’m gonna have to go with all of them. From Freddie’s voice and piano to Brian May’s guitar to Roger Taylor’s drumming and high falsetto to John Deacon’s bass, it’s just a great pair.
"Another One Bites the Dust" was the first song I heard in the U-haul after my wife & I got married (1983) in Reno. Stationed at Travis AFB, CA. 40yrs later, we're still going. Phenominal band.
Favorite Album? Made In Heaven, every track on it is a masterpiece. The song one is really tricky, i would have multiple ones.. But for a specific i would say The Show Must Go On.
I love that you mentioned that "Long Away" was in fact a single from ADATR. Thanks to it only being released in the states, Canada and New Zealand, and it never making a splash, most people aren't aware that it was ever a single. To this day, Brian talks about how he feels as though the song is underrated, and it's also backed with John's "You And I" as a b-side, which is a fantastic song too.
The first concert I ever attended was Queen at the Hartford Civic Center on 8-20-1980. Best band ever! So many awesome songs, but I love Dead on Time, Death on Two Legs, and Innuendo the most.

1. Bohemian Rhapsody
2. Another One Bites the Dust => always plays this at work when someone tenders his/her resignation
3. A Kind of Magic
Queen is a very special band to me since I grew up with it from mid teen until late 20's.
I was 15yo when Bohemian Rhapsody was released and became a hit, just started Year 10 in a boys school.
I remember during recess Bohemian Rhapsody was one of the songs regularly played on the school speakers around the school in 1976.
It was a wonderful memory.
One of my old history teacher saw queen in concert, he once talked about it for an hour, he kept talking about how it was the best night of his life, the best concert he’s ever seen, and all that jazz, the last day of school, our grade’s band burst threw the his classroom door and started playing bohemian, it was so much fun, the shock on his face
Fanatic Story! Thank you @_Pumkin_Pie_
Me trying to decide which albums to buy and realizing I need all of them
Brian may omg
@Brian May shut up you are not fooling anyone
@Brian May I don’t get why someone would pretend to be Brian and post their email
I Want It All
dont get hot space tho, and buy just an innuendo single, the other song called “im going slightly mad” is a HORROR, i heard it when i was 7 and couldnt sleep for two weeks. Now im 18, never heard it since, never going to.
Every time he says “annnnnddd” I’m expecting “here are the results!” right after.
I can here the clapping in my head
My favorite album is A Night At The Opera, and I like ‘39 and It’s Late a lot!! Cool video!

Thats crazy dude
They were definitely ahead of their time with music videos. Thanks for the kind words and for watching
Who wants to live forever is my favourite. Sad, poignant, defiant, wistful, longing, loving and eerily prophetic.
Wonderful history, informative, to the point and excellently narrated.
The first time I played the first cut on their first album ( "Keep Yourself Alive") I was hooked.
My parents were playing a Queen CD while I was watching this in the car.
Woahness. Which album?
@@mattbeatgoeson The soundtrack to the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
@@starlinyn9292 its not that bad
@@starlinyn9292 Hey
@@starlinyn9292 the movie wasnt that bad. I actually kinda liked it.
I love this and I love queen thank you
I appreciate the kind words.
Nice work!!! Thanks for your efforts!
I found Queen's album in my mother's room , aftet hearing it, I was utterly enchanted by Queen and desperately finding a concrete introduction!
Thanks again for your work!!!
A VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DETAILED ACCOUNT OF THE BAND QUEEN. DESERVES AN AWARD IN AND OF ITSELF. WELL DONE SIR.
Excellent work sir. Big Queen fan and you covered everything beautifully. Yep, time to subscribe.
Nice video! I've been a huge fan of Queen for years, and had the good fortune to see them play live a half dozen times. Freddie was a great singer and amazing showman.
Now I'm jealous.
I can't describe how incredibly amazing queen makes me feel
It’s almost impossible for me to pick a favorite Queen song because each time I think of one, another masterpiece comes to mind. For the moment I’ll say Princes of the Universe because it was the last song I listened to before watching this video.
As for a band for you to cover next - Rocks Holy Triumvirate, RUSH!
Me before you upload: :(
Me after you upload: :)
🙂
Here before a million views
Well the Nirvana one got 1 million views so you'd think this one at least has a chance. :)
Here before 25,000 views
The Beat came back when we needed him the most!
Fun fact: It was Michael Jackson who insisted that "Another One Bites the Dust" be released as a single. He was a huge Queen fan.
Queen are my FAVOURITE band! The best albums are the first one in 1973, News Of The World and Sheer Heart Attack! Thanks for the video!!
My Nan loved queen! I was too young to actually like the songs but now I’m older the songs just really hit me in ways words can’t describe. Maybe because of my Nan or maybe because of Freddie’s death. I love queen
So far in this interview I haven't heard one mistake, which has never happened before. Congratulations on that.❤
Great tribute. Respectful
Very well done! 👑
Imagine being a bands biggest fan and getting to sing for them.
I love how every song is their best song and every album is their best album ❤️
ok queen is literally my favorite and it’s impossible to pick but i’d say favorite album is either sheer heart attack or the works and my favorite songs are all dead, all dead, brighton rock, white queen (as it began) nevermore, it’s a hard life, liar!! i could go on for days
Bohemian Rhapsody is and always will be my favourite Queen song, I also love Queen 2
Wow that sounds amazing!
I love how you said "another one bites the dust" singing!
I cannot stress enough how much I love your channel. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much!
I was waiting so long for this😲🙌 I thought he has made a video about The Beatles and Nirvana and i tought someone is missing!!😂
Glad I finally was able to deliver this one.
He did radiohead as well, the four groups r on top of my “best bands of all time” list.
@@FetishonyoutubeURL sorry i forgot Radiohead they are a good band!! I didn't know he made a video abou that
@@ismael2062 its his first video
Why did this video make me cry??? The world may never know,,, they may also never know how much I love Queen. I hope the remaining members are doing amazing. I loved this video
Thanks for the wonderful resume. Live Queen for ever
I’m 10 minutes in, and have learned a crazy amount already. This is a great vid!
I m so obsessed with Queen n specifically with Freddie Mercury.can't help watching all the Wueen albums n learning more about Freddie.
I can’t choose my favorite Queen album, so I’m gonna have to go with all of them. From Freddie’s voice and piano to Brian May’s guitar to Roger Taylor’s drumming and high falsetto to John Deacon’s bass, it’s just a great pair.
Everything they did was spectacular. P.S. this video was very informative. Thank you.
Queen 2 is my favourite album and queen showed me how to become a musician when I was a teenager
I love your history channel mr beat, and this is my favorite band of all time so win-win here 😂
Awesome!!
His death STILL cuts me down, emotionally.
Of course, I can’t believe he died so young..
@@childrenofgrub 45 years old he was.
Spike Edney still plays with them today, I saw them in concert
A Kind of Magic is my favorite Queen album. It's so underrated and i feel like it gets slept on by fans. There's great material on the record.
"Another One Bites the Dust" was the first song I heard in the U-haul after my wife & I got married (1983) in Reno. Stationed at Travis AFB, CA. 40yrs later, we're still going. Phenominal band.
I was meant to go to that concert in 2020 but it was delayed to 2021 and now, 2022, and I'm hoping this time I'm able to see them. Really excited.
Same i'm seeing them at the o2 in London, I hope it doesn't get cancelled again
@@Joemcncheese oh damn! i'm seeing them at the O2 too, lol
Favorite Album? Made In Heaven, every track on it is a masterpiece.
The song one is really tricky, i would have multiple ones.. But for a specific i would say The Show Must Go On.
Freddie is Imo, easily the greatest singer/front man of all time.
I'm from nz ♡ the song
The first concert I ever attended was Queen at the Hartford Civic Center on 8-20-1980. Best band ever! So many awesome songs, but I love Dead on Time, Death on Two Legs, and Innuendo the most.
Sorry I’m late ( a year late ) to your channel but I got to your channels is amazing and a great way to know old music bands .
And bohemian rhapsody is my favourite song of all time 🔥 but I can’t judge them cuz a lot of them are amazing like we will rock you, we are champions, another bites to dust ( which is my second favourite song ) , etc
Great video 👍🏻
Thank You, this is awesome
I sure love the song "Friends will be friends"
These people are legends they made more than history
Thank you so much for this INCREDIBLE and extremely accurate interview. I loved it.❤❤❤l
