    You can see just how much Brian and Roger absolutely loved Freddie. Queens music is so incredible! I must say that while Adam Lambert isn’t Freddie, which he readily admits, I absolutely LOVE that he gave Brian and Roger the opportunity to play again which is incredible and I believe sent by Freddie. This has brought another generation of people who now love Queen. That itself is amazing! Long live Queen!!

    • @Salopian_mumbles
      @Salopian_mumbles 4 месяца назад +2

      @@garypring2658no he definitely shouldn't, he tries to be Freddie by copying his voice. Freddie is dead there won't be another Freddie. I've been a massive fan of Queen since I was a small child and I hated the idea of anyone else fronting Queen. But I watched the Show Must Go On the Story of Queen and Adam Lambert documentary and I was amazed by how good Adam was. My Mrs brought me tickets for my 40th birthday in June 2022 to see them live at one of the Rhapsody Tour concerts in Birmingham and i thought it was amazing. Adam is the perfect man for the job of fronting Queen in the absence of Freddie. He doesn't try to be Freddie or sound like Freddie he has an amazing voice in his own right and I absolutely would not say this lightly if I really didn't mean it, but there is a handful of Queen songs where he sounds better than Freddie. For example Who Wants to Live Forever. Roger Taylor who wrote that song said he's never heard it sang as good as Adam sings it.
      Queen are a flamboyant band that's over the top and extremely camp and obnoxious. Adam is all that and then some. But he's not like Freddie, it's silly to try any compare him to Freddie. But he is brilliant in his own way. And I don't there there is a person more suited for the job.

    The morning after Freddie passed away I turned up at work , after 30 minutes I just put my coat back on and returned home .The rest of the day I just sat on the sofa drinking coffee , whiskey or rum , listening to Queens music . I didn't leave the house for 3 days . The only time I have ever been so emotional and upset like that was 15 years later when my father passed away . Freddie has left all his fans , music associates , critics with magical memories , personal memories and his songs . It doesn't matter if u like the band and its music or not , you still have to admire his ability to get a stadium full of people to clap their hands and sing in unison ! . Thank you for the music Freddie , 33 years later your music is still with us , every song brings back memories to all of us who spent the mid 70's until your sad passing appreciating your musical ability and your passion and strength to entertain millions !!!

    We hear a lot about Freddie, and rightfully so, but there’s never enough credit given to his boys on the backline. It was a fully functional four piece band and everybody contributed. Any other group of guys, and it would never have been as good. I love this band dearly.

      Make sure, they all appreciate each other, they all know their band Queen is home for all of them. That's why they never splitted against all rumors going around. Thay are awaire of the fact that they are all very smart, talented and very good in their area. That's why they did not make an issue Freddie as the frontman of the band got always the higher credits. At the end of the day, their synergy, which they put on the stage made the queen one of the most successfull rock bands

    Mary Austin nailed it when she said Freddie was all about life. From what I read he was wild and rather reckless but that does not diminish his talent as singer, songwriter, musician and artist. I loved how he drew Queen's logo with everyone's astrological sign in mind.

    • @bluebell3720
      @bluebell3720 3 года назад +2

      I think you took mary the wrong way about life!
      Roger was very upset about how people were saying he was reckless
      people forget that both Roger and Brian went through their time of sleeping around and Roger also dabbled in drugs maybe not as much as Freddie
      but no one has said he was reckless with drugs or ever needed help because if it
      freddie had a scare when he had fallen asleep and calmed down thats the worse it got!
      how many people have drunk stories!
      as for sex there was no reason for him to think partying early 80s was reckless or any more risk than when the other two did it
      and he was sensible he never went anywhere alone always with a large group or body gurads that was partly because he was shy to go out alone but safety as well
      well he wasnt that shy!
      obviously! he wasnt incable of having fun!
      but as far as he knew he was being sensible
      in the 70s he wasnt all about parties he went from one relationship after another
      but in 79 he and joe split up because they couldnt be open publically
      80 tony cheated on freddie as soon as he went on tour
      so I think he thought sod it
      but he still wanted relationships,vince wouldnt go on tour,Bill was bad news,winnie didnt work out and he left him for Jim who he was with since 84
      Mary and others have said he was about living and enjoying life as much as he could as long as he could not dwelling on what hwas going to happen but what he could do and he did it with great dignity strength and poitivity not just for himself but the people around him

      Freddie was shy, kind, fiercely loyal, and supremely talented. He was also reckless with his choice of sexual partners during a time when people didn't even know what AIDS was. He said in an interview once that he didn't figure he'd see old age. He couldn't imagine himself at 60. He was about living THAT MOMENT to the fullest.

    Freddie is probably still one of the best male vocalists to ever exist l x

    I'm glad they didn't get someone who came close to Freddie Mercury's greatness.
    Adam Lambert was clearly not a replacement, just a means to be able to play Queen songs for the band.
    If they had got someone who was trying to outdo or copy Freddie, it would be more of an insult.

    People who keep saying Adam is not Freddie Mercury are right and wrong. As to why their wrong is because the way he dresses, acts on stage, and presence is almost like Freddie's. Plus he never said he was "the next Freddie Mercury" plus Brian and Roger chose him because of the reasons above as they believe nobody can replace Freddie so they Adam made his own thing. As to why their right Adam Lambert is Adam Lambert thats why its called Queen + Adam Lambert. People seem to think Queen replaced Freddie entirely with Adam
