    Freddie was SO beautiful in mind, body and spirit. He was unbelievably intelligent, gifted when it came to music, and such a sweet and sensitive person. So articulate. And so physically gorgeous. Just beautiful to look at. But his soul - it’s apparent when you listen to his songs or his interviews - he was so emotionally deep. He was a very evolved soul. I so wish he was still on earth delighting us with his musical brilliance. There will never be another Freddie. Wish he was still with us.

      Well articulated. You perfectly summed up Freddie. What a man ! Emotionally deep - very evident from the songs, sophisticated, intelligent, what not. I so wish he was around gifting us lesser mortals more of his music. In fact, I am amazed at some of the lyrics of the songs he has written very early on in his career. To have that kind of depth from a 20 something year old is nothing sort of amazing. There will never be another Freddie - truer words have never been spoken !

    I'm 74 and just discovered Freddie and Queen. Sexy men - especially Freddie! I watch and listen ALL day long. He really brightens my day! Sad he died but he lived his life as he wanted and he was happy up until about the last year. Thank God he lived. He's singing in the spirit world now. What a man!

    His voice is so different here vs. just 4-5 years later. Maybe his smoking and all the strain of constant singing? If you listen to his voice in 1985---his voice is deeper; here a lot lighter. I like how he answered questions in these early interviews; I think in later ones, he seems a bit flippant and comedic. He's so calm, intelligent and respectful. So charming. Even when cursing, he doesn't sound offensive.

    Freddy was a package, wit, drama, intelligence, actor, musical genius, and molded himself into an icon for the ages. He also created this handsome exotic desirable man, who everyone {man, woman, teen and Grandmas) wanted.He, along with his band mates were an enigma. Something that can't be copied. We can all tell certain songs by hearing the first 4 bars and there are several. No matter where you are and hear "YEAH" OVER THE SOUND SYSTEM YOU AUTOMATICALLY KNOW WHO IT IS. Love ya Fred.

      All four members of the band were so soft spoken and so classy! I just love that about all of them. It needs to be said that Freddie's Annunciation of every single word in a song enabled people to actually understand rock songs in a way that they could never understand some of the screeching bands. Every word Freddie Mercury sang was pretty much understandable. Impeccable english, and my theory is that allows people from other countries to listen and appreciate Freddie because he speaks textbook English not slurring the words together and trying to sound cool.

      @maridepp53 5 лет назад +13

      vramakeup44: Yes, he said he often felt lonely as a young boy because he was sent away to school at that age. I think that is where the common theme of longing and rejection come from that he sang about. He loved and respected his parents but held some resentment that is totally understandable imo. He didn't even get to know his little sister until they were young adults.

      Interviewer spoke almost exclusively about their work. And he knew what he was talking about he had been to see multiple Queen concerts. So it definitely quickened Freddie's interest.... And he was very relaxed because he wasn't being challenged on his personal life and dragged over the coals. Bravo to this interviewer!!! You got one of the best interviews because you weren't looking for a cheap score on gossip.

    Freddie e i ragazzi,dopo la prima fregatura, hanno scelto molto bene i loro collaboratori. La loro unione e lealtà è stata la loro forza,poi il duro lavoro negli studi,a volte litigando,ma trovando sempre un punto in comune. Freddie qui mi sembra una bella persona, intelligente e riflessiva, veramente un grande professionista.Ci manca molto, chissà cosa avrebbe fatto di artistico per il pubblico. Freddie has such a beautiful singing voice and speaking voice. He could read the phone book and make it sound melodious. The world was left tuneless and devoid of brightness when he died. He was so special. He would be in his 70s now and he may not be singing due to a lot of vocal cord damage but I know he would be writing some beautiful music. Freddie was really picking the guy's brain when he started talking about the fact that he had seen their shows multiple times. What absolute geniuses all of them were, business geniuses but more importantly musical geniuses!
      Because the guy wasn't obnoxious and prying Freddie relaxed and actually enjoyed the interview. He had an actual fan interviewing him and he seemed to love that. @Fancy Winnie the Pooh I THOUGHT I hated people speaking while chewing, or hear them sip or their sniffles... With Freddie - anything is just lovely, makes me feel he is alive. And HIS British accent is not a bit annoying, unlike with many many other British talkers. Ok, I do love American English more. But with Freddie - any British who-cares-what-origin person is dear to me bcs. of his Freddie-like talking ( if he would be as intelligent and interesting and kind and charming...... as our darling Freddie !)

    Listen carefully you can hear him chewing gum and he has a hold of his necklace and he's pulling it back and forth and his necklace here next to the microphone and you can hear the necklace sliding making noise how awesome it's like you're right next to Freddie. He is so sweet after he wanted tea, he offered the interviewer tea!!! His voice is so call me in the seventies I could listen to this every single hour especially before I go to sleep!!!!. Love him so much 🖤

And my respect to those loyal people around him at the time of his passing...Peter ( Phoebe) among them❤️

    Grand as Rami was in the so-called bio-pic, he never reached this level. The great Freddie interview of the 70's, in spite of the amateur interviewer.

    • @CertainlyCaro
      @CertainlyCaro 5 лет назад +13

      No one will reach Freddie's level, but Rami did a fantastic job depicting it in my opinion

    • @p.5557
      @p.5557 5 лет назад +6

      @@CertainlyCaro.. I thought it a massive missed opportunity , and I also think that Brian & Roger come across as desperate to be seen as equals. The historical lapses are rediculous and pointless and extremely irritating. Freddie's speaking and singing voices changed and developed as he started smoking heavily around 78 79

    • @CertainlyCaro
      @CertainlyCaro 5 лет назад +3

      P. I never said it was perfect. I just said they did a great job. I implied that despite the flaws and such, Rami did a great job portraying Freddie Mercury in this film, something that I believe few people would be able to accomplish, maybe Sasha Baron Cohen would have been better in the role, but we'll never know. Personally, I wasn't bothered by the portrayals of Brian and Roger. As for the changes in Freddie's voice, I could *imagine* (because maybe it is possible) that it'd be difficult for Rami would be able to get the aging and weathering voice for the jump into the 80's. The historical inaccuracies do seem pointless to me as well, but I can tolerate it.

    • @delainepep22
      @delainepep22 5 лет назад +4

      @@p.5557 If you know Queen history Brian and Roger started the band. Freddie came into it and TOGETHER they formed Queen. All were a major part of the band. Freddie hated that people would not include Brian and Roger and John. It's all 4. The movie wasnt done in a certain order because time was the issue. Rami played Freddie to a T. It's like Freddie stepped into his body. No one will ever take Freddie's place and he wasnt trying to.

    I do not quite know how to say it but sometimes he seems contradictory to a point when he even radiates a sense of insecurity and I assume that is due to his intelligence because if one is as intelligent as him there never really is one version or one answer to something. I like that so much about him because it shows humanity and a kind of independence. It also shows humility and a humble self-projection. By no means is this supposed to be criticism. I don't know if its just me who feels that way
