I ended up going with the Wilson Combat grip on my X Carry, It feels amazing. Added the tungsten weights and feels even better. Great comparison video thanks.
Got the Wilson Combat myself on my M18, hands down the best upgrade i have done. I thought the ergos were good on the stock grip, but the WC just took it to another level.
Sig is launching the fcu only in October 2020. They had 14 vendors for early intro last month. Pretty soon there will many options for grip modules, barrels, and slides. Nice job Sig for giving we , the consumer the choice of building a 320 however we want.
@@hc17975 I did! It was so easy to swap out! I do like the feel much better. No ranges are open here yet in Northern California, that are at least close to me. If I remember to update you after I shoot it I'll let you know!
I have carried my WC320 grip for a few months as I use my X-Carry as my EDC. I've since gone back to the stock X-Carry grip. Texture on the WC grip is absolutely superior, however it is very, very narrow, and doesn't fit my medium-large hands well, and the ergonomic sculpting is just a bit better on the X-Carry grip, though I get that they were going for a more 1911 feel. Additionally, the way that the front of the rail is angled inward gives the Inforce APLC light that I use very little to grab onto, and will wiggle unless I overtighten it to the point that the rail on the light bulges inwards. If that Icarus grip came with removable grip panels like the PPQ SF does, purely for style points, I'd swoop one up in a heartbeat.
I agree. Anyone saying the WC grip fits great with large hands is either lying or their hands aren’t as big as they think they are lol. Way too narrow above the mag release.
Wilson combat does make the module for the compact models. Just bought it last week. Super nice and worth every cent. Had to buy 2 of the new style sig base plates to make the 15 rounders work with the module, but luckily I found that out beforehand so all items arrived same day.
@@RecoveryChad Wilson Combat sells the base plates as well. They are factory parts from sig, so you could buy them from Wilson, Sig, or any number of places that sell accessories. I just got them from Wilson because they were the same price as anywhere else I could find them and it was convenient to get it all in one place for me.
Great informative video on Sig Sauer P 320 X series module frames upgrades. I have the Sig P 320 X Compact, that I purchased the GrayGuns Laser sculpted X compact module, love the feel of the grip. Had ordered the Wilson Combat Tungsten Weight Kit to add some weight to the module. As well as you I hope Wilson Combat will made a X Compact Black Module Frame soon!🙏🏿
Just got the icarusprecison...feels phenomenal. I'm a big fan of all metal firearms for duty, but I wasnt able to have one until I found out about this guy. Well worth the price
Sig makes a good gun, aside from the recent court issues regarding the P320. Polymer80 has finally thrown their hat into the ring and created a frame for SIG. I’m still loving my big P226. It’s big bad and if u run outta ammo u can beat the shit outta somebody with it.
This borders on rocket science lol. Knowing what all combinations work with what. I am a little late as it seems SIG no longer has the O.D. green and FDE modules. I wanted an O.D. Green for a full size 320, with either medium or large grip. I don't know if any other size module, say.. carry or other shorter modules, will work with the full size/length slide/barrel and full size magazines.
Old topic I know, but I just got the X Carry grip which turns out is a full size grip and the most comfortable. One would think that Carry usually means that smallest and most concealable. So now I have Compact, X Compact and X Carry.
I have the Wilson Combat Carry module on a full size slide and barrel, I love it. I too wish they would make a compact grip module , I would definitely buy one
I prefer the slight rounded profile over the 1911 style. The wider rear "beaver tail" spreads the recoil out in the grip but for 9x19mm the change is not a big deal. I would like a OD or green shade with a FDE style upper(slide).
I would love to check out the WC and the Iccharus frame. So far, the p80 frame wins for me, just on feel alone. The few that have shot their 320's the with p80 frame seem to love them too.
I love the look of the Icarus precision grip and like the idea of an aluminum grip frame, but as you stated $370 is a lot of money for a grip module. Especially when you can get the others for under $75. Hopefully other companies can challenge them and force them to drop their prices a little in the future. The whole “it cost more because it has more quality or detail” is oversold somewhat. We learned that wasn’t completely true when HK dropped their prices basically down to glock prices a couple of years ago on the p30’s, p2000’s, and hk45’s. Those were thousand dollar pistols at one time because of the quality and attention to detail.
1776 or Bust yeah, but I’m more talking about the fanboys who’s pride in hk ownership tried to justify the inflated cost. They always mentioned higher quality and materials that went into HK handguns.
I have XL size hands and the Wilson was too thin above the mag release. Even my wife (small hands, medium length fingers) thought it was too narrow. We both preferred the factory grip module. I’m going to try the x carry next but the Wilson was too thin for us. Anyone saying the WC grip fits large hands is lying or their hands aren’t as “large” as they think 😂
hey man the difference i noticed between the x compact and x carry is because on the x carry there is that little thickening part towards the top of the beavertail whereas the x compact doesn’t have that. i much prefer the thinner style like on the x compact and the wilson combat frames
I love the icuras precision because it's all metal but if your asking me what feels best its definitely the wilson combat followed closely by the x compact. If the Wilson combat was all metal there would be no competition but since I'm more of a guy that would prefer a tool that will with stand time and torture icuras precision is probaly in the lead. Although the new icuras precision competition module looks like it might be the best of the best
Looking at the p320 as a first purchase and looking at various upgrades. Would go for the Icarus grip... if it was a full steel frame. My understand is aluminum, as a building material, is prone to failure under high heat and stress. I would not trust the durability on the Icarus grip. Would probably go for Wilson combat grip instead.
I personally love the X grip modules. I don't think the ergonomics can be any better. I would rather spend the money on a stipling job or grip mod rather than spend that kind of money just for an aluminum gun. Or, buy a CZ. The reason I buy polymer striker fired handguns is for the polymer. I like the weight and the fact that they can have work done to them if you want to customize.
