The TXG frame, tungsten infused polymer, was intended for competition shooting. They love to make their pistols nice and heavy, 34 oz roughly, so it transitions from target to target smoothly, and it soaks up recoil to a degree. Anyone who carries a 3 lb+ pistol for duty is either a gigachad or is oblivious to the TXG's intent.
I mean the staccatto is marketed as a duty weapon and isn’t far off the weight. Sig making these heavy frames, smith and Wesson making a metal framed gun, the 2011 craze it’s the way the industry is headed I feel.
@@JoshR-t9j Yup, but it started as a competition gun under STI, and is now trending back in that direction. A lot of elements were streamlined to reduce snagging, but a heavy gun is not always a comp gun, that's simply the trend. Weight just benefits a comp gun more than a duty one. Plus, some folks don't like the feel of polymer. They prefer aluminum or steel, which is naturally more heavy.
Right now, the Icarus Precision ACE Compact is by far my favorite grip. But I still kind of want this Because I plan on having more 320’s in the future. I really like this platform. And I love many other guns, but this is just my favorite because of the modularity.

I had the p80 grip module on my p320 for a while and it was ok, but it was far too blocky for me and I had to dremel and radius a lot of edges, and even then I'd still get glock knuckle on high round count shooting sessions. Then when I did the PMM flush comp setup I got the WC full size grip module, and even with the comp and weights installed in the GM, I just can not run the gun as fast compared to the p80 module and no comp. I agree the WC module is too thin, and I can feel on my strong hand it almost leaves an air gap on my palm (I wear large sized gloves). I just ordered the slick m1811 module, and gonna do my own stipple job, so we'll see how this goes 🤞
Full dust cover only fits 1 slide length. That’s why these are not made in the full 5”’frame. If you just like the look, the the factory grip is a solid option.
@@rdrgear there is a difference between affordability and just plain over paying for something. But they can charge whatever they want for their products. If people are concerned about a gun discharging uncommanded there are options to make sure that never happens. Whether you choose the manual safety or the trigger safety agency put together it's up to you. It's tough to rag on the P320 when the vast majority of reports are of guns that just run. You see them at local competitions, you see them with officers (even though they supposedly pop off), and with prepared citizens. If you don't personally trust a gun, or you struggle to deal with the different impulse, then don't buy one. I live in a crap state and even I can testfire a lot of the common and some of the less common pistols out there before I even think of buying one. Glock, Walther, Smith, Sig, HK, CZ, etc I honestly don't care. If you hand it to me I will shoot it.
I switch between a comp’d x compact slide (Herrington comp) with a R1P and TLR1-HL with this frame and magwell and a HEAVY spectre comp.. I do miss the weight however the weight reduction is welcomed in many instances. I kind of wish I could run 320 weights in this frame. Instead I offset the weight with +10 springer extensions on 17rd mags. It’s nice being able to use factory 17rd sig mags without having to mod the base plates WITH their magwell
I have a very similar build with my P320 sitting on an x5legion grip module and PMM dual port comp. My only gripe is im waiting for them to make a larger grip module. The x5 size to be exact just because I dont lile my comp hanging out side the grip. Want it all flush as it is now. Soon as they do that which im sure they will im all in. And theyre only $89 from what Ive seen on the site. Very good work
I CAN’T WAIT to try this…my current favorites are the agency Icarus and traditional sig xframes including txg (they fit me). It’s funny everyone loves the wc grips and I really want to because they seem great, but it makes the 320 feel like my macro and not comfortable for my 2x glove hand. I have a we will say slight p320 addiction and have tried the OG frame (my least fave), xframe, lxg xframe (some how wet handed this is slicker in my hand than the standard), txg frame, axg frame, Wilson frame and the agency Icarus.
@@rdrgear thank you for turning me onto this grip mod. I finally got one about a month ago and now it is my favorite polymer group frame. I think it’s tied with the Icarus agency for my favorite of any kind.

Have you tried P80's offering for their frame? I have the WC, XCarry, Standard frame and the P80 frame and the P80's angle, grip texture, etc. make it the best at least for my hands that I have found thus far. Only thing I am not the biggest fan of is the mag release but I mean its just a little spoungey, its not the end of the world and once you are use to it, it works fine. Wish they would have stuck with the standard Sig mag release though. This has my interest peaked though and am gonna order one here this week.
If you carry it, don't change anything. Keep it stock. I pull my glock and sig out. Sig cleared roughly 60 rounds, no malfunction. I kept sig stock. The g43 is not. I changed the side release years ago, and it failed to eject case after 3 rounds twice. It may have been the two year old ammo, though.😅 I also cleared 10 rounds out of my Ar no hick ups

The grip module works with the standard 3.9” slide. It does not work with the 3.6” slide. It’s easier to talk In slide lengths, since sig has so many dam names for the same length pistol.
Agreed! Appreciate the speedy response, you may or may not know but I was wondering if this would work with the 3.6” slide if I got the 4.3” threaded barrel and combined that with the Herrington arms HC320FL comp that sits flush to put the overall length of the standard x compact slide to that 4.3” length or if the way the grip module is cut just won’t work with what I have in mind. Thanks in advance!
Stove pipes come from grip as well as mechanical issues. This slide is from Parker mountain machine. It’s called the Tardigrade. The ammo I’m shooting is 115 blazer and some mag tech.
@@rdrgear I just added a 2 hole compensator, and that the only gun that stovepipes, out of all the other gun we have and I do play USPSA, so I doubt it's my grip. The gun is a p320 compact, one of the first models. If I take the comp off it works normally, but stovepipes when the comp is on.

How viable is the silicon carbide variant over the one without it for ccw planning on getting this module for my edc but not sure how comfortable the carbide is against the skin and how much discomfort it causes
Silicon carbide grip is great. It is a definite improvement and they didn’t go crazy with it. The texture is great, but not so overdone to that it literally rubs the skin like grip tape.
So you spend the money on a 320 and then you spend the extra 300 bones on this. At this point im just going to save up money and go all in on a staccato or DWX and get that single action trigger and a nicer pew pew all around.
You can absolutely save the money. You also don’t have to get the full tardigrade slide. You can build a P320 with w comp for leas if thats what you are looking for. The dwx is cool. But 3 years late and there is already another model coming. Cant go wrong with a 2011. I own a handful. And comes down to task as budget. Guns are not a cheap hobby.

Best grip had to add some grip tape in front and back strap and it made it so much easier to control
axg or the brouwer which would you choose?
Probably would pick a WIlson and take the money I saved and put it towards more training and ammo.
how would this compare to the LXG grip module from sig?
I think you mean the AXG. They are 100% different grip angles. But a comparison video is coming.
Hello is that the M18 upper slide ?
Great video! Was just showing my wife what I need for Valentine’s Day. She asked if it’s another gun. Said nope… it’s the grip module for one…. She still hasn’t said no😂
If people are concerned about a gun discharging uncommanded there are options to make sure that never happens.
Well said.
Where to get the slide/comp combo?
PMM Tardigrade
What's the whole build pictured? Slide, barrel, etc? It's very nice.
I talk about them in the video
Yeah I figured that out after I watched it again! Haha Do you have any good alternatives for someone with less of a budget for a slide and barrel?
@@EmberIsABrat you can get barrel and comp combos from Parker mountain for your existing 320
Whats is the laser engraving about i order it that way can you explain it to me thank you
Laser engraving? On the frame? I think thats their new laser stippling i do not have that unit.
the same holster work for it?
Yes
It’s the best! Changed the P320 for me
I have a very similar build with my P320 sitting on an x5legion grip module and PMM dual port comp.
I feel the WC frames are too narrow and too slippery. I don’t think you will regret trying the M1811 frame
@@rdrgear thank you for turning me onto this grip mod. I finally got one about a month ago and now it is my favorite polymer group frame. I think it’s tied with the Icarus agency for my favorite of any kind.
I have one and I love the grip and feel. I’m going to silicone carbide it myself. Grip angle is more natural than the clunky sig grip.
Have you tried it concealed carry. If so how does the carbide feel against the skin does it rub a lot or create any Hotspot? I'm really curious about getting this with carbide but if it's not viable for ccw I may have to go without it
excuse me but what is that lovely holster you are wearing sir?!?!?!
On our website. We offer modified Safariland holsters for a variety of guns Safariland does not support.
Will this grip fit 10 round mags?
Ever find out?
@@anderson2501 it works👌🏾
What Safariland holster are you using???
@@stunners3283 on our website at Rdrgear.com we mod wrap and custom tune holsters
I could be wrong but I don't see that they make a frame that would fit flush for the 3.9" slide with the PMM comp. I love the look and want one but I want flush mount and would like other colors like ODG
@@valreyjung this is a 3.9” frame they only make one. Just like the M17 and M18.
@ thank you for that I was about to sell my p320 and get the PDP Pro but might just buy this and rock the p320
@ it’s a very Sloid grip
I have a m18 and I want that m1811.. where can I get it at
I have a DH3 and want a bigger grip. This looks like it could fit the bill!
Would the P320 AXG Legion slide and barrel be a good match on the 1811 Brouwer? Do you feel there is a better Sig "slide/barrel" pairing? Best !
The frame would be a great pairing.
Can you plz. Tell me if the m1811 will fit the same holsters as the m18 does?
If you are asking about safariland yes
Duty style holsters yes. Concealed carry holsters, it’s been 50/50 for me.
What slide & comp setup are you running?
Have you tried P80's offering for their frame? I have the WC, XCarry, Standard frame and the P80 frame and the P80's angle, grip texture, etc. make it the best at least for my hands that I have found thus far. Only thing I am not the biggest fan of is the mag release but I mean its just a little spoungey, its not the end of the world and once you are use to it, it works fine. Wish they would have stuck with the standard Sig mag release though. This has my interest peaked though and am gonna order one here this week.
I’m not a fan.
That god damn photo bombing fly.
I just got a CA p320 m18 with the Romeo 1pro optics trying to add sone cool stuff to it any suggestions ?
I would suggest upgrading the Reddot first. Maybe the frame
Me too! Bullets, A shit ton. :) Then another shit ton. THEN decide what to add.
Also not at the same night I pulled them out. This happen the first time in December last year.
Is the width of the m1811 around the same circumference say that of the Springfield prodigy or staccato grips?
@@faithwindsheimer3038 narrower since the mags are narrower. It’s similar but not exact.
Would you compare this grip to the x carry grip module in size?
Donyou know if this accepts Massachusetts compliant 10 round magazines?
It should the mag bodies are the same
Yes . The ten rounds mag are 17 mag with two stops pressed into them to stop at 10 rounds
I’d say this and Icarus precision is 1A and 1B
Probably a stupid question but if I buy this grip module will it not fit the custom kydex sidecar holster that I have for the stock m18 ?
The trigger Gaurd is a bit different. But it's close.
i like your shooting mechanic
would you mind make a video breaking it down.
thank you in advance
What parts? I’m not sure I’m the best guy for that but I can see what I can do
@@rdrgear I even watched the HK VP9 tactical OR video you did, i'm a fan.

What comp is on the end of that 320?
Looks like the Agency Arms dual port
@@davidoconnor1773 no it’s waaaay better then agency. Agency stole their from Parker mountain machine
This is not a stand alone comp this is the full Tardigrade top end from Parker Mountian Machine. PMM are the OG’s of the comp’d P320 pretty much every 320 comp pistol comes from the PMM original X-comp
@@rdrgear Oh okay, interesting. I only know the JTTC, and that looks way different to this one, so i didn't think it was a PMM.
@@davidoconnor1773 for lack of a better term. The jttc is like the gen 1. This new Tardigrade is a full pistol or slide. That can be purchased

Wait, where is the compensator from? Where is a build like this...for like an XTEN. That'd be awesome
PMM Tardigrade
@@etam083 very nice, thanks. I don't see any XTEN options though. Unless I'm missing something. Hopefully it's on the to do list because that would be really great to have

Comes form Brouwers llc they sell it on their site with the frames
I see a lot of guys saying they want their pistol to feel like a 19/2011. They want that 1911 trigger and feel. Why not just buy a 2011. Why try to make a p320 something its not when that other thing is available?
2011s are expensive
A 1911 is not a p320 will never be . A staccato true 2011 is going to be 2x the cost of a p320
@@kfelix2934 shut up nerd
im sure if you put enough brainpower into it youd get your answer but ill give you a hint p320- 600-700 1911-1000+
@@kfelix2934 4x the cost of a p320
New to the P320 platform, would this work with the X-Compact? Can’t really find anything online about it
The grip module works with the standard 3.9” slide. It does not work with the 3.6” slide. It’s easier to talk
In slide lengths, since sig has so many dam names for the same length pistol.
Can I use this with the xcarry pistol?
No the x carry slide is too short
@@rdrgearwouldn't the x-carry slide be flushed with the m1811 frame?
What size slide would sit flush with the m1811 ??
@@KILLAHBOZO76
My P320 Compact with the 3.9 inches is flush
I'd like it a lot more if they offered it with safety cuts, and perhaps compatible with some sort of grip panels.
Safety notches are indicated on the inside of the frame. Took me less than a min to dremel both sides.
I know it's apples and oranges, but what about the AXG frame vs the M1811?
Since having both. I like the M1811. The 1911 grip angle just works better for me. And I like the more aggressive texture
This grip is only available in full size. Will they come out with a compact size?
It fits the 3.9 compact slide. I have one
Can you use pmags?
Yes
Hi! How did you get the p320 to run smoothly with a compensator? More power factor ammo? Harder/softer recoil spring? I get stove pipes on mine.
@@xdivineHART that might be recoil spring. What brand of of comp
@@xdivineHART If you haven't yet, you may want to run 200 rounds or so through it. I've seen online that the P320's need to break in the comp for whatever reason.
@@xdivineHART check out the DPM recoil assemblies, they are available for all P320 barrel lengths and customizable in spring weight
Nothing beats the AXG frame with Lok G10 grips
Grip angle. The review is about a true 1911 grip angle. The AXG is a great option, at double the cost. 🤙
This video came recommend, i am considering picking up the sig m18. Will probably get this grip if i can get the m18 i want. My local dealer has a commercial version in black and also a few military contract over runs in stock as well.
I think it all depends on what you want it spend. The last time I saw the mil overruns they were Triple the civilian price, has that changed? If not I would say the standard pistol. Once you have one, you can always buy parts and build another
Def gonna pick one of these up
I have a P320 X Carry , will this grip module work with my slide?
it will, but it'll look real dumb unless you have a threaded barrel and a massive compensator
The X carry is a 3.9 inch slide, they make an 1811 for that size. So it will be perfect as is..
How viable is the silicon carbide variant over the one without it for ccw planning on getting this module for my edc but not sure how comfortable the carbide is against the skin and how much discomfort it causes
I got a video coming on this very topic should help alot
Soooo how about the x10
What about it. I personally feel the 10mm phase has fizzled out.
what do you think of this in steel or aluminum vs the mischief machine commander? I heard the commander takes LOK grips and you can have them swell or skinny?
@@ebkbk9902 it honestly up to you, i like the grip and angle the the texture, i also don’t want to buy multiple panels . If your hand size does not work well with standard firearms, them maybe the Lok Grips can be a plus.
