I'm a 73 yr. old female jazz fan in love with this version of the Freshmen. I was vaguely familiar with the originals, but they didn't float my boat. Last year I searched for jazz DVD concerts featuring the bass, to play for my 97 yr. uncle, a former bassist. Found the DVD of the 2006 Vegas concert, and was bowled over. My uncle's gone now, but I play the DVD and their 2 CDs often. Thanks for providing performances of numbers I don't have. Sorry they went their separate ways, but we have this gorgeous jazz harmonic pieces to treasure.
Wow...I never thought I would hear that song sung once more in the fantastic 4 part harmony. I started my musicial career at age 12 in 1958 when asked to join a 12 piece orchestra and this was one of the first songs if memory serves that I learned. In the 70s I joined a touring show group and each show not only had comedy but we did our very best to honor groups like the Four Freshmen, The lettermen and The Vogues. I wish we had tight harmony groups still today. Thanks for posting this song.
I had a most unusual experience when stationed at Fort Ord California in the early 60’s. I was in the dispensary recovering from a bit of a bug when I heard the sound of some guys singing a Four Freshmen song. I was just wandering around board as can be, when I went into the Rec Room there. They, being 3 guys asked me if I knew any 4 freshmen songs...yes I replied. I spent the next hour or so in the most delightful recovery of sorts singing the melody part while the piano player led us through song after song. I felt like I was one of the fabulous Four Freshmen singers just for a while. It was a magical time for me that I will never forget. I thanked those marvelous guys for giving me a Four Freshman experience that has stayed with me over the years. I hope the Four Freshman singers will keep going for many generations ahead...keep it going guys you bring all kinds of “miracles” with your songs!
Brian Wilson said one of the originals is still alive - though probably not on this recording! Nonetheless the current crew sounds wonderful! The recording is excellent too. Live long and prosper!
Such beauty. I'd like to know the theory behind that kind of harmony. For example, what interval is that note placed close to one of the "regular" notes?
I saw these guys with my father in law years ago for Father's Day. It was obvious that Brian Wilson had been inspired by the original FF. They were awesome.

Awesome memory.
.must have been a great experience.
These guys remind me so much of brian Wilson and crew..and I've been at 3 bbs concerts ...a wonderful memory for this ol' hippie.
As one who also " grew up" with the Freshmen, I'll also say it : this 22nd line-up is --hands-down --THE best 4 Freshmen, EVER. EVER. Wolfsky9, 66 y/o
Wolfsky9. disagree, The group with Ken Albers is more talented.
Just magnificent sound.
The new Four, sound like the old Four. Very harmonic !
they are even better and I saw them both Don
I am 78 and first saw them when I was about 12. I WAS ORBITING THE GALAXY! Actually, I think these guys are better
always loved this Rodgers and Hart song!! the new group is fabulous!
BRIAN EICHENBERGER IS DE BEST LEAD VOICE OF THE FOUR FRESHMEN.
Man I miss you guys!

Brian Wilson said The Beach Boys sound came from the original Four Freshmen.

No doubt the FF were the main influence on Brian Wilson, but they used to do one or two Four Lads tunes as well.
F A N T A S T I C . . . ❤️☝🏽😊 !
is beatiful, interpretation exelent, Congratulation
i love you
he should and in his current touring group too
What's the story behind the song "Little Girl Blue" by Rogers and Hart?
notice Brian keeps a somber look on his face. He's probably already committed to the " Beach Boys ", or is in negotiations with them.
@mharbaugh It's been a year. Are you done counting?
I die......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
terrific. So much better without the noisy drums/cymbals. Brian Eichenberger is the best ever singing that part
hope is getting slender... man O.o
How do they look like they are still in their 20's?
Vin Diesel ? kkkkk
