My memories from the original Four Freshman during the 50s but this group is wonderful too.
This was the best Four Freshmen since the originals. The strings are marvelous.
If Angelo says then it must be so.
I just want you to know how much this music means to me
Bring it all back, when music was music.
A great standard so well sung by the Four Freshmen. Music as it was meant to be.
that tenor voice and the guitar chords THE GUY IS FANTASTIC
But watch him with the Fendertones occasionally. Brilliant.
love the four freshmen, songs are like music should sound today.
patricia hodges. But the youth of today won't accept this musical sound.. Not fast & loud enough for them. Too much old people music.. Watch the kids jump out of their seats to cheer & applaud whenever a "singer" hits the top of his vocal range on America's got Talent ..That to them is talent.
@@dcasper8514 Correct, sadly, few of today's youth thrill to the old romantic songs, they want loud noises, pyrotechnics, concert crowds, girls throwing their hair around and sweaty wild antics on stage -- NO class! Strange music, that grabs you everywhere but in your heart! I'll be back to listen to TFF and more, relax, remember better times, and yes, maybe shed a nostalgic tear or two in remembering "THE WAY IT WAS!"
Thanks New Four Freshmen for carrying on a great musical sound.
From a Freshman fan since 1958 !!!
Me too !
David Runnells. A lot of us go further back than that..
Such harmony these Four had, it's even more thrilling with the orchestra. I've been a fan of The Four Freshman ever since I can remember, and that's a long, long time! Thank you for posting, I used to sing this song also, years ago.
I love the Four Freshmen!!!
The best Four Freshman Ever. They are spot on! My favorite. They will never know how much entertainment they have given me
Saw the originals at Birdland in NYC. These guys are just as good!
Really a symphonic version! It's perfect because the four guys are perfect... Timeless...
These guys--and their string section--devote themselves to beauty. Thank you!
Beautiful voices!
The definition of perfection!
Can’t believe how spot on this group is to the original guys!
Wonderful, the musical legend continues.
Their greatness remains!
How great is this, how great are the guys-FANTASTIC
I wish these guys (Bob, Brian, Vince & Curtis Calderón) could do a reunion tour, even if it's just once so fans, including me could see this genius musical chemistry one more time.
Love it. One of my favorite songs.
I've loved them right from the start and always will. I could listen to that Flugel all night
Aaaa the very very good old day😁👏👍
This past February 2017 I had the pleasure of playing a gig with Rod Henley. What a marvelous and inspiring evening. Thanks Rod.
Cordially, Larry Hanna
Gorgeous------------simply, gorgeous.
Perfect harmonies
Just heavenly!!!!!
I love my music generation.
My guys are the best. ❤
Absolutely fabulous, ......One Direction eat your hearts out !......These four gentlemen set the standard by
which vocal groups should be judged, not only for their harmonies but also their skills in their respective
instruments. Inspirational !
I'm 80 yo...Have appreciated The Frosh since the mid-1950s...These boys are good...BUT don't forget their fore runners....THEY were fantastic!! Incidentally, One Direction ain't so bad...I've heard a great deal WORSE!! [yours in appreciating the greatest harmonizing group EVER!!]
One direction shouldn't be said in the same breadth as these consulate vocalists/musicians. Listen to the Ringmasters now that's young men with talent!
F A N T A S T I C . . . ❤️☝🏽😊 !
And you can understand every word!
Yep...Even without my hearing aids!! :)
Ken Mollenhour. That's the beauty of it. You can sing along with them. Their music touches our hearts.
Magic!
High School grad 54'----------best sound then---------------still is
I was 1953...I agree with you...It's still good to hear these boys, tho' ...and the beat goes on..! Thank goodness!
tom dehm. you are so right Tom.
Another 54’ grad; Balboa HS, San Francisco. Agree w/ Tom, best sound; best memories.
Love the a cappella bit in the middle - and that flugel sound - wow!
Very cool...
Fantastic! Still going strong, sounding great!!
so good and very much like the original group !!!!
Fabulous!
Love this music and the harmony. Thanks for posting
Love these guys👏🩷
Simply great string arrangements - ala Dick Reynolds. The FF are floating high on a cloud of heavenly voices. How about a CD/ DVD on this ?
Perfect.
Great music
Beautiful!
I'll have to say it once again; although all of the Frosh groups have been great, group #22 is still the best ever, a sentiment echoed by none other that the original Bob Flanagan!
Everybody likes this group
Super !
Oh wow just WOW
My favorites 👏🩷
Great rendition and great video job (as usual) by Dan.
Lovely.
This is really great, Dan; love those strings!
Love you all the strings are wo n Derulo in back
This reminded us of the time when everything seemed in optimistic tones and we were so confident in ourselves ... but nevertheless we did not know much to say, and did not have time to say everything ... Now the vocabulary 😍 is much more and more emotions, but ... too late...? This is true?
RENO WAS A BLAST, THE FF WAS JUST OFF THE HOOK, FOR TWO NIGHTS THE MUSIC COULD`VE HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER!
notavel perfeito igual os originais dos anos 50
this is nice and rich i love it :D
magnificent
Now that's a wire choir back there.
I do love some of the alternative lyrics to this song. My favourite being
' A pair of knickers in a London taxi
Bohemian noises from horse's jaxey
These foolish things etc '
Those blood stained knickers in a west end taxi
The fragrant odour of a poxed up jaxsi.......
Oh how my urine stings
These foolish things.....
I don't know how I lost the Story of the man who saw them at Facks11 in San Fransiico, I DID TOO! Those were the ORIGINAL 4! They would "Kibitz" with the audience, and since we were close to the stage Bob Flanigan (Base player and last original active singer, before becoming their manager) asked my Girlfriend: Are you with him? (pointing at me) GF: "Yes" Bob F: "Lots of luck!!
The harmony that the Beach Boys Tried to steal! Thanks for the technology they will LIVE ON FOREVER!!
Saw them in concert several times in the 50"s at Southeastern Louisiana University. Brings back fond memories.
Unbelievable.
Group 22 was the best ever. Bryan E. was the best 1st voice of any of the previous or subsequent groups!
GMeyer
You mean people sang songs where you can understand the lyrics and without profanity? And the musicians can sing and play other instruments, not computer generated sounds? Ahh the good old days.
We are not in the golden age of pop music.
Isn't it wonderful?
Miss you with The Freshman, Ike. ------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o
Wolfsky9. you've got a fine tuned ear, Wolfsky9
I’ve always loved the four freshman
But the less orchestration the better!
Strings are never needed
Are they singers that play instruments or players that sing?
john anderson. the former..
john anderson. the former.. Singers that play instruments..
john anderson. singers that play.instruments..
john anderson. Hey Wolfsky, straighten this guy out...
Either OR
