I picked up one about a year ago for $250 and didn't know much about wheelers, I sure am learning though hehe. I got it from not running at all to be a very reliable machine. Not perfect, but it's within my budget hehe
The way people ride them compromises them imo. Down the road at a constant speed. And Polaris is garbage unfortunately. Seen so many break over the years.
You can use a heat gun or propane torch to heat the cover and bend it out and Amazon some vinyl fabric and cover the seat . You should get 2 seats to a yard. My ocd has to have the handle bars straight or it drives me nuts. But good job came out nice.
I did end up using a heat gun to reshape it a little and found the bottom bracket where the inner part bolts to the frame was bent a little, i bent that back and the rubbing is gone completely now
What do you run for oil In yours? Also what kind of coolant I just picked one up and there is so many mixed opinions on what to run in them.
Nice work! I run a 200 main jet in my xplorers and runs well.

Any side by side or atv with a belt is junk. Worked at a polaris honda dealer. Guess which one failed.
I believe there is more polaris in the scrap yard than any other brand I've had good luck with anything but a polaris

Ive never been a big fan of them, they are fun to ride but not something i trust for longevity like a honda or yamaha
@averybryant your absolutely right they are decent when new but when they are out of warranty or 5 years old it's obvious which is better
