    Thanks for the video.I think that every person's chart is a combination of the positive and the negative.So the role of astrology should be to direct a person's energy to that which is positive.

    The charts and their indications cannot be avoided.But I am engaged in a personal journey of discovering how much of that karma I can offset.I use a vibrant spirituality as an enhancor of my efforts.

    Hi Ryan, I have a question regards the planetary friends/enemies chart, which is also on page 52 of your first book...
    Looking at the moon in left column, it shows Saturn as neutral. Looking at Saturn in left column, it shows moon as enemy. This also occurs for Mars/Saturn, perhaps others. Why do these not remain constant when their relationship is flipped around?

    Hello Ryan,
    So there is a friend who's chart have looked at.
    She has Vrishchika Rashi, conjunct with debilitated Chandra. Also debilitated Surya as well as Debilitated Shani.
    So I have delved into it, however it seems to be more complex than what I see.
    So is there anything you can suggest when going about reading it? is there any area that i should look into to see the chart accurately?

    hi Ryan, thank you for all the lessons, it is exciting to learn all of this. can you tell me how fall and exaltation works between the signs for example if sun is exalted in aries then does it mean it progressively falls from there eg through taurus, gemini, cancer etc to reach its maximum detriment in libra and then does it began to take the positive turn again back up through the signs to its maximum exaltation in Aries. or do the signs in between just remain neutral?, many thanks.

      +Lou C We would look at it that way in relationship to find the strength of a planetary cycle.

    when you calculate the planetary dignity in the vargas, are you using the rasi chart to determine compound friendships, or each individual varga chart? thank you for sharing these videos Ryan.

      +macedok89 I base mine off of the rashi. Some use individual vargas.

    Hi Ryan. I was wondering, if a planet is in its sign of debilitation, but not within the defined degree, say mercury in pisces but past 15 degrees, what would you consider the dignity? would be be calculated like other planets, where you combine permanent and temporary relationships of Jupiter to Mercury? or is it still debilitated? but less so..? thanks

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  4 года назад

      Traditional texts state that the Moon is only DB the first 3 degrees of Scorpio and Mercury the first 15 degrees of Pisces, after that you apply standard dignity calculations.

    • @cmpdas
      @cmpdas 4 года назад

      @@RyansVedicAstrology thanks for the reply. That really changes a lot if you do the degrees...so moon and jupiter are rarely debilitated.

    A clarifying question about the friendship chart: for example, when I first saw the Moon's row, I said "The Moon and Mercury are friends", i.e., they are friends with each other. But then when I saw Mercury's row, I realized this wasn't the case. So, in Moon's row, should I read left-to-right, "Moon is a friend to Mercury." or, should I read right-to-left, "Mercury is a friend to the Moon"?

  • @Arelisms

    should we consider the lord in a specific house by bhava chart or rasi chart ?

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  10 лет назад +1

      If you are reading for the native, read it from the Rasi. If you are reading for a specific concrete person or thing, read the chart from the sign in which the bhava cusp is placed from the native's chart. It is on my agenda to describe as it is very important, but the way you understand it is often tricky at first.
      Basically, house cusps represent the tangible concrete things. Want to know about your mother's life? read the chart from the 4th house cusp. Want to know how you relate to your mother? see the 4th Rashi (sign) from your ascendant. Want to know about the "body" of your career or activity in the world, read the chart from the 10th house cusp. Want to know how YOU relate to career or activity in the world, see the state of the 10th Rashi (sign) from your ascendant.
      Remember, I use the campanus system for cusps.

    What if a house lord is in Neutral dignity? How do i see if its acting negative or positive.
    Also, what if a planet is in a natural friend sign but becomes a overall neutral due to temporary dignity. Does the planet still function well for what the planet signifies but behaves in a neutral way in the house its in?

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  8 лет назад

      +Harry hari The planet will have some hindrance based on the sign its in, and the planet ruling that sign. See my Lajitaadi Avashtas class for more details on this.

    I have one question, I am blessed with a beautiful child and I have only one question that is one astrologer said we think of our children according to our moon in saptamsha chart,my lagna is aquarius my moon is with rahu in scorpio aspected by saturn mars and sun and ketu. Moon is your mind and it is very important in a person's life. According to our venus, he said our relationship is with our children. Is this how saptamsha works? Please explain

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  8 лет назад

      +Tharsika Rajah That's not how I use the saptamsha. The relationship to your spouses will deal with the 7th and 9th and their lord in the rashi. The relationship to your children will deal with the 5th in the rashi. The Saptamsha would give furether details on dashas etc.

      Hi thank you for the quick reply. what about the dignity of planets on the vargas, how do they really work? Divisonal charts are given importance like saptiamsa chart?

      +Ryan Kurczak Yes, I have been learning vedic astrology since 2009, intending to understand myself with every aspects of my life. Just to know what be the result if moon is conjunct rahu in scorpio in saptamsha chart, with aspect of four planets saturn, sun , mars, and ketu just opposite. How would I correctly understand this varga chart for an aquarius ascendant, jupiter putrakaraka in gemini and mercury in sagittaurius according to d7 lagna chart; Thank you

  • @maevemystic
    @maevemystic 8 лет назад

    Wow..I am starting to understand now why you say don't use vedic to learn your own birthchart because of the likelihood to focus on the negative.....the 2 examples you gave....- my 10th house lord in an enemy sign....my 6th lord in an enemy sign.....(this is rather discouraging to learn )

    It is odd how Mars does not consider Saturn to be an enemy and is exalted in Capricorn (Saturn's sign) but Saturn regards Mars as an enemy and is debilitated in Aries (Mar's sign). Also considering that Sun is debilitated in Libra, it is only natural to accept that it won't function well in Taurus as well (Venus's sign). I'm always looking for simple and creative ways to remember things, to make my astrological studies fun and interesting for me : )

    • @qcasj
      @qcasj 10 лет назад

      Ok, now that I thought about it , I'm not too sure should I be looking at the sign the planets are placed in or just focus on the planetary conjunction and aspects to study dignity.

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  10 лет назад +1

      Think about their energies. Mars is explosive power, pioneersing spirit etc. Saturn is restriction and control. Explosive power and a pioneering spirit can be honed and channeled due to discipline and restriction (Saturn). Like channeling energy into a laser beam, rather than a wild forest fire. Yet, putting a slow deliberate thoughtful planet under the control of an unruly impatient energy like Mars doesn't work in the same direction. It just stresses the slow thoughtful deliberate planet. See the comparison? If you are using the tropical zodiac then yes, use the signs. If you are using sidereal than just focus on conjunctions and mathematical aspects.

    • @qcasj
      @qcasj 10 лет назад

      Thank you for the laser beam example. Makes lots of sense! I guess I'll use all 3 for tropical zodiac once I have better understanding of the signs and planets.

    Why is it that Mercury has an enemy in Moon, while Moon is friends with Mercury in the chart, that you are showing us?

    • @NasrinBillie
      @NasrinBillie 10 лет назад

      Come to think of it. Why is it that the moon has no enemies?

    • @RyansVedicAstrology
      @RyansVedicAstrology  10 лет назад

      Nasrin Billie That's explained through the lajjitaadi avashtas theory. Basically, the Moon is the manifested Jiva. It will make peace and get comfortable with any other planets to survive. I spoke about this in another video on this channel. Maybe the one on the Moon. There are so many now I don't remember which one! Try that one first.
