I really like this course. I started learning astrology through Western method which makes learning these concepts a breeze. I do get confused at times when you mention some of the more advanced lexicon, but you are a great teacher and a lot of the things you say resonate with me. Thank you for uploading these courses!

Why is Saturn necessarily difficult for a Scorpio ascendant?

Something that came into my mind from watching videos on this topic. What if in a benefic-malefic combination of 2 planets, say moon and Jupiter there are 2 aspects coming towards them, one functional benefic and one functional malefic. Would the result be similar to the effect created by 2 functional malefic planets together? I mean would all the bad and good effects be nullified altogether?

It gives mixed results, and the dasha you go through will show which one will get activated.

Ryan Kurczak Alright. Got it. But even then the results couldn't be guaranteed that it will be malefic or benefic during the Dasha right? Cuz the aspects from 2 other planets will always create some mixed effects?

Does the concept of malefic (generic or functional) planets, from the placement point of view, apply to divisional charts? For example, for a Taurus ascendant Venus is a functional malefic; If Venus is posited in the 3/6/8/11 houses in the D-1 chart it is supposed to be good (correct me if I am wrong). Does this concept apply to the D-9 chart too? If true, assume that Venus (for a Taurus asc) sits in a kendra house in D-1 (bad placement) but is placed in the 6th house in D-9, what is the implication? Thank you.

Functional Malefics need used with cancellation of Raja Yogas. Every house and house lord is needed to make life work.

Sorry, I did did not word my question correctly or did not understand the answer. Does the concept of a Dusthana house apply to the D-9 chart? If it does, do malefics sitting in these houses in D-9 become less malefic? Thanks again.

I find this chart style more applicable for many things. In the long run you'd benefit by switching.

Jupiter may be helping Saturn and the houses Saturn Rules, but Saturn will be starving Jupiter and the houses Jupiter rules.
