    They love embarassing themselves. So it's acceptable when THEY perform a decades before breakdancing became a thing but when we do it it's something completely diffrent that has nothing to do with the art?

    nobody said tito created the helicopter colon just giving proof us puerto Ricans were doing moves at the same time as black Americans, so it was a 50 50 creation. and as far as tracing the dance to bomba and so on we can do that we were better at breaking. an element of hip hop

How is it 50/50 when Black Americans were rapping decades before??? You have to keep up with the lies. Remember, 50/50 was the first claim yall made, Colon has moved on to Herc being the father ! BTW, yall still have not even named the Puerto Ricans who created anything!

      The Mambo era dancers picked it from FBA jazz dancers. How do I know this? They said it themselves and I already spoke about in this video
      Afram tap dance was foundational to the Mambo and later, Salsa dance as told by the Rican pioneers!

    For the record everyone in different cultures were doing that move that we called the helicopter. Black, white, Asian, Hispanic. That’s why I didn’t make a video using Tito. No one said he created that move at the palladium.

    Let me set this straight. The palladium is where we see the descarga go off's by the Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican bands. Yes, some African Americans were part of Machito and his Afro-Cubans. The style and flavor of the descarga also known as descarga cubano, and salsa dura are the inspiration in what we hear in the bboy anthems. Remember that many of the bboy anthems are not Latin records, though some are. I bring this up to help with this misunderstanding.
    The musical influences in the bboy anthems are funk and Latin rhythms. When it says the genre was highly influenced by jazz, it simply means the idea of letting each instrument go off in a solo. Yet, African and Caribbean people have been doing that since the 1500s. This is not to suggest that African Americans were not also doing this, but it does not solely come from them. We all borrowed flavors from each other.
    The palladium and its musicians are the inspiration to the Latin Breakdowns that you hear in the anthems. This includes blacks and Latinos. So if this was happening from the early 1900's with ragtime, then jaz, why is it so heard for people to understand that this marriage also was happening at the beginning of Hip Hop.

    • @lroyjetsonson5060
      @lroyjetsonson5060 5 месяцев назад +14

      No it was not. That's why Older Puerto Ricans who are on record saying that Puerto Ricans called Funk (Jungle Bunny music). You pointing out 1 Caribbean drummer who specializes in FUNK isn't a marriage of our music at all. If you want to break Dance until you are 90. Cool. But stop with this silly lie. Descarga ultimately comes from FBA Jazz Culture. Just like The term Hip-hop does. Do you and leave us alone.

    • @dryinkdryink675
      @dryinkdryink675 5 месяцев назад +9

      Man that's a reach. Everyone has their own culture. Desarga still came from Jazz.. regardless. Doing improv is just improv. But culturally we play different music and styles. It's not that deep. Enjoying other cultures is cool, but there was no marriage

      @DrDerrickColon Even just putting "descarga" and "go-off" in the same paragraph has to be just trolling from you at this point. right? Calling it a 'go-off' is just your own invention. You had Cellos Congas ready to co-sign that in the chat was hilarious actually.
      "African and Caribbean people have been doing that since the 1500s."
      Sure, and therefor thats not exactly what Afro-Cubans were borrowing from American Jazz. This right here had me on the floor ruclips.net/video/mQrxvwaOuFE/видео.htmlsi=dwTsNfk1PF-2FUPn&t=145 It means you have no clue what you are talking about. TheBoostedo and HipHopHistorians latest videos really showed how you dont know what you are talking about here at all. Not a clue.
      'this doesnt sound like descarga' 😂
      There was a running cultural exchange between Black Americans and Afro-Cabans since the 1900s this is correct. As well as simple commonalities which you have no idea about because you dont really know our history. All the way till Fidel took over. Then here you come waving a Puerto Rican flag, a Caribbean flag and a Latin flag to make claims on it. (It goes back to bomba 😂 randee is playing you) Thats not a marriage, thats a misappropriation. And worse was the already existing Three Caribbean Godfathers and various other myths you are propping up. We are not having that anymore, the books are going to be corrected.

      @AKiEM After he sees MicrophoneCheck, he's gonna do a video calling it a lie! Colon's wack ass documentary is only going to have Puerto Ricans who participated in Hip Hop or who will talk about everything except the actual beginning, but no one who can claim any creation! Randee has Colon souped up tryna use his little B Boy status as tho he is an important person in the movement! Colon has Adrina and his idiot believers thinking that he was actually there in the beginning! Colon, Randee, Adrina etc , has never stepped foot in any of the Hip Hop spots , early on! They are all ridiculous!
