These look cool, but I'm not shilling out $450 for essentially a screen only I can use/see. This would be good for a situation with roommates, but not really that applicable for switch. If anything, being able to hook it up to your PC is a bigger deal to me than being able to hook it up to a switch.
Hi, I hope you can help me. I just got a response from Viture support that when you connect an HDMI source to the glasses via mobile dock or the HDMI XR adapter it supports video ONLY in 1080@30fps. It does not support 24, 25, 50 or 60 fps. I find it extremely weird as playing games in 30fps on such a big screen is basically ... well... unplayable. Can you please check what video formats the glasses can connect to through HDMI?
Seeing, a few people mentioning the price. How much is a 135in Tv? & once you do get it you can’t really take it anywhere else. Also, you can do more than just game with these. Anything that you would need a screen for can be done with these glasses and a smart phone.
Last year I weared the Viture one finished the TOTK, it's literally the best gaming experience in my life. Super immersive, feel like I'm in Hyrule myself.
Nintendo tried a lot time ago with the virtual boy that was a headband with one eye available to see the game. It was dope, I had one… But they only had a handful of games And didn’t really Last past the gimmick phase
"The biggest advantage of the Pro XR glasses over the Viture One is light output. Viture says it raised the perceived brightness from 500 nits to 1,000 nits, which puts the glasses in line with the levels required to adequately view lots of high dynamic range (HDR) content. For comparison, the Rokid Max glasses go up to just 600 nits." Does this mean the Pro XR is recognised as a HDR capable display when connected to a windows PC?
I honestly returned mine. It was very disappointing. I got the glasses, dock, and neckband. I’m happier with the Meta Quest 3. Plus you can use a cheap $10 capture card to connect your switch to the meta quest 3
If you pickup the new CRKD Nitro Deck+ you can connect Viture glasses to USB-C output of ND+ and a USB-C power cable into ND+ input and play Switch handheld without a controller.
Have you tried this? it would mean that the dock is essentially only required to provide power to devices that have a single USBC port or for HDMI input.
Ppl complaining about the price are smoking- a quality display anywhere near that size, resolution and hz rate would cost thousands, pack all that tech into a small formfactor next gen tech like this for under $500??? What magic are these people working!!
One thing he doesn’t mention is that it plays in Docked mode. 1080p on a huge screen is different than 720p on a small one. Also works on my phone, so I use it for remote play on PS5 as well. (I have the previous model glasses) Being able to lay down and use it in bed is wonderful too, as you don’t have to hold the console a certain way to view it. Also, very little brightness / sound escapes from it so it’s perfect when I want to play/watch something when my wife is sleeping
I'm guessing the glasses has a "floating" screen that stays in front of your eyes. That's alright, but I'd prefer a fixed location screen, like a physical TV, but only virtual instead. That way, while I'm watching something, I can look down or away while doing something else at the same time. Maybe someday...
@@frustotamer6231 thanks very much. I went to their website and that thing is a mess. The developer who made it either sucks or intentionally made it duplicitous.
You can connect anything that uses USB C to them and they basically mirror what they are connected to. For the Switch however, you need to buy a separate dock.
I really want these because they would encourage me to use my switch. But they cost more than the switch itself and get close to twice as what it’s worth with the bundles. Not worth it just to play my switch again when a new console is on the horizon. I’d rather get the PSVR 2 so I can play new games instead of just games I already have in some glasses.
“Made me want to play my switch again” Dude, the console has literally thousands of games, and dozens of those are must play that I’m sure you haven’t played yet.
Well those are certainly prices 😅 I mean they look really cool but I am not entirely sure if it's worth it at all, at least not yet. Who knows eventually I might consider looking into it more.
I want to know if this can watch 4K Blu-ray. If you pirate a film or record your own of course it will work. But if you try to watch a 4k disk of a movie you legally buy from a store and try to watch it with a 4K blu ray player then your monitor has to support hdcp 2.2 security protection. Which for the record a PS5 disk doesn't have this security protection requirement and thus games will work fine on more things then 4K Blu-rays will
Look really cool and like something I’d consider buying but they look really small on your head and I have a massive head. Also the price is very off putting.
I think AR marketing is off. They focus too much on the AR. What you are really buying is essentially a portable televison or monitor with the portablity to fit in your backpack. I have a pair of these, I work offshore, not every room has a television. Sometimes you have to share rooms or hotels with other people. Being able to hook this up directly to my phone to watch a downloaded movie is beyond awesome. When I am at home I sleep way later than my wife, so when we are both in bed I turn off the TV and put these on and laying next to her she cant hear my netflix while it is surround sound for me
Looks cool and all but I think I'll wait till Black Friday before considering these. The price will be lower, and we'll probably know more about Switch 2 and rather or not we'd have to buy a new dock to use this.
A huge dealbreaker is the lack of correction for hyperopia, and not just myopia. Really strange design choice, it renders them useless to a lot of people i guess.
FOV isn't wide enough to take up your entire visual field. It's not VR, you can still see real life if you look to the corners of your eyes. No motion sickness. It doesn't fool your brain like VR, just a big screen floating in front of you.
Only if you lack imagination. If you’re into sports you now have a big screen to watch any game or fight anywhere at anytime with only a pair of glasses & a smart phone. Or you can turn it into pretty much a full pc experience anywhere with remote access to your computer through your phone or just use Samsung Dex.

Just ordered one im really excited for this. Thankyou for this review i believe i made a good choice.
Sounds cool, but not $500+ cool. Also, the code not applying to the main product is wild lmao
500 is actually pretty good pervious ar glasses have cost more and been worse.

It's literally a usbc display you cab connecte it to anything
if your pc can do usbc video out then it should work. would need an extention for the cable tho
You can hook it to your PC
The pricing is INSANE tho
How much?
Holy cow 459...
It literally costs more than a Switch OLED. That's outrageous.
But less then a tv that big......
Go buy a 130" 4000 nit 120hz oled TV and see how much that will cost you... The price is nothing compared to that.@@SALTYTOAD00
I've been looking at these glasses for a while glad to hear there is a newer version of their items.

Really nice review. I wasn't considering buying one but watching this and learning its now the second upgraded verson it does seem tempting.
Can this be used with your phone in DEX mode with multiple windows open?
Nice shades Joey!
Does the screen stay in place or does it follow your head?
Interesting. Technology is still advancing. This is almost revolutionary to me.
Did we just come full circle back to the Virtual Boy?
I thought this was vr stuff but this is better thats so cool
Great review Joey
Handheld gaming evolving into glasses would be a great next technological step. My neck has grown weary of bending down

Lol i was actually expecting it to be way more expensive, but 450 ain't bad, might pick this up for novelty and travel

I appreciate the subtle design. Way better than any VR headset on the market.
I mean yeah. That’s because it’s not VR lol.
We’ll get to that point soon enough though. Hopefully in our lifetime.
Does it work with 3d Blu-ray and 4k Blu-ray? Have you tested this? I wanna watch the Mario movie on my ps5 with this.
Ooh, that’s a good question. I’d love to figure that out
Did they make the follow mode smoother?

Wheres the neck band?
Why are they so small?
Looks cool
Can you play switch lite with these?
It's a really cool idea, but for the Switch doesnt it seem alittle redundant. The Switch literally is a portable console I can take and play anywhere.

How’s the heat, also on 120hz, but in general especially?
It gets a little warm on the outside, but I don't feel the heat while wearing them!

In simple terms, what EXACTLY do these do?
They have a screen on them and you can play movies and games. You can also connect multiple glasses so many people can play (i think)
