@ 5:30 you mention the USB-C adapter allowing use of a standard cable but it looks like the adapter is designed to take the mag connector like the viture glasses and connect to a usb-c female socket - like a monitor or non-viture glasses maybe?
This is 100% an error on my part; sorry for the confusion. Another viewer mentioned previously (and I must have forgotten to pin the message) that as you said, it's connector is reversed. The adapter is in fact, specifically for their VITURE LITE glasses as that can take both standard DP-Alt capable USB-C as well as their magnetic cable when connected to the adapter. Something the adapter CAN do though is "convert" or allow the Viture Neckband to basically function as a Android/Google TV whereas it can't normally do that with the magnetic connector. Thanks for your question and comment!
@@MysterCannabis Hi, thanks for the comment! I think if you're looking for a big screen to look at some code, then yes it could do that if say you set the glasses to an external display, or you're using a SpaceWalker compatible device).
I'm a VR enthusiast and use a Pico4 and Quest3 for whatever these devices can do including watching movies. But here's my dilemma... I hardly feel the headsets while playing games or doing fitness, but as soon as I start watching movies, they start to be annoyingly heavy, itchy uncomfortable. That's where I think these glasses will be good for... (convincing myself).... so come my birthday in November, I know what this guy is buying for himself....
It doesn't matter. I too wanted a comfortable alternative to a VR headset for watching movies. I take it on trips and it's just a bit annoying to carry a bulky case for the Quest 3. ...but... These glasses, I tried them...they just aren't it. You don't really have a choice, you're stuck with a heavier VR headset because these gimmick glasses do not give you anywhere close to a usable image size. Honest to God, you're better off looking at your smartphone screen to watch movies. I will edit this and apologize if I'm being an idiot using them wrong. Totally possible, but I don't think so.
@my_username_was_taken I have a 150 inch screen in my theater room. I sit 12 feet away. These are just under that but.. my focus distance is farther. So it is like sitting farther in a larger theater. I can see so much details. Looking at your phone your eyes are crossed. Using the Steamdeck to play Dune Imperium there are a lot of things I can't read. With these it's super easy. So I think you straight up lied when you say you tried them or tried them for 30 seconds.
The most importance difference between the Vitures and the XREALs for those of us looking to use the three-screen functionality on a Mac laptop is that Viture's Spacewalker app actually works and is stable. XREAL's Nebula for Mac OS is a trainwreck in comparison, I would be lucky to go four minutes with Nebula before either the mouse vanished or the windows turned to gibberish.
Is Nebula on MacOS still buggy? I haven't tested the Windows app since the "beta" last year but it was a buggy mess then too. I agree that SpaceWalker is a better implementation, it's not perfect, but it's definitely working! Thanks for your comment!
@@gamers-generation Nebula on MacOS is an unusable mess, it is unable to deal with the way MacOS manages multiple windows. I'll go to open a second window in Chrome and all of a sudden I have two completely different sets of screens in each eye. Plus at random intervals the mouse will appear in only one eye and stop working. The only solution to this is to quit and restart Nebula, at which time the window arrangement I set up among the three screens has changed. This is frustrating because I prefer everything else about the XREAL specs. They never drift, the right eye is just as sharp as the left eye (this is a problem with the Viture's interocular spacing) and I prefer the way XREAL handles screen distance and size. At the end of the day stable software that actually works wins out though.
The Handhelds United matt was looking mighty nice! Great to see the upgraded setup and an informative exploitative review of these Viture glasses. The intro to this video is epic.
I don't see myself upgrading until we get bigger FOV. As of now I am using the OG xreals. But the beam was a joke of a device and I find it strange how much of the oled panel doesn't even get used. So until we get bigger displays out of these things I will just use my xreals until they break. It is nice seeing the quality of life improvements.
Thanks for your honest comment! Psst, there's a surprise though that I didn't mention in the video, you can actually use your Xreal Airs with the new Pro Viture Mobile dock, bet they didn't see that coming!
@@gamers-generation Anything has to be better than that dual core rockchip in the beam. I am scared to use it on my PC because it is constantly discharging while charging and gets super hot. I think the only reason we havent seen it blow up or hurt someones PC in the first place is because its such a POS no one used it for very long.
I'm looking for something to help my wife enjoy movies (and games) because she has significant vision loss (somewhere around 20/400). It's hard to tell if this would help because I've seen people say that even though it's basically on your face, the point of focus is still further out. I noticed Viture said the pro has a myopia adjustment, not sure if that's what I'm looking for or not. $500 sounds a lot better than the Dr recommended glass in the $4,000 range. If you have anymore info in that area, I'd appreciate it.
Hi there, sorry for the late response, for some reason the comment wasn't showing up! Both of the Viture Ones and the Viture Pros have myopia adjustment (diopters), but I think it depends on what type of visual impairment you're referring to. If your wife is able to see enough detail+colors with corrective lenses, then it's possible that the diopters can help her to do that, but if even with glasses, she is unable to benefit (as in with glaucoma or macular degeneration) it may not help. Do also note that the diopter adjustment as far as I understand, will ONLY focus the image (or video) not the entire lens, you'd need lens inserts for that. Based on a quick search, 20/400 is roughly a -5.00 prescription, so maybe if you order them with a place you can return, it might be worth testing out? Thanks for your detailed question.
Hi there, sorry for the late response. Sorry to hear that's your experience. I do feel comfort is a subjective thing though so I'll definitely concede that point. Thanks for your comment!
how is that magnetic to usb c adapter supposed to work? wouldn’t the viture charger plug into it? so it wouldn’t really get rid of the proprietary connector right?
No you're right, it doesn't replace the adapter, I must have been asleep when I edited that part of the video. What the adapter can do is connect the neckband to any displayport alt mode capable device and turn it into a full Android TV, or alternatively, allow the Viture LITE glasses to access the magnetic cable. I will definitely ask about the opposite side of the magnetic cable being made as an adapter though.
@@gamers-generationThanks for your response! As someone who wears glasses the eye adjustments on the Viture glasses make them the best option for me but the use of the proprietary magnetic cable with only the $50 replacement option is a deterrent for me. Any information you can get would be greatly appreciated!
As always, great video! 🎉 I am probably not the right audience for those glasses though.. 😅 I can't imagine myself wearing those since I already have bad eyesight and I am very unsure if I would enjoy those..😂
I've never owned anything like this, but not having the pinning feature, that to me was half the point of having glasses like this. Was hoping to use them for work with multiple monitors, and for flying a drone.
Fair criticism. Though with the Windows app you can kind of do those things like have multiple displays up! Please let me know if you'd be intererested in seeing something like that!
@@gamers-generation Yeah I'd be interested, though I'm curious how you'd demonstrate how the displays will actually look to someone who is using them to do office work with apps like Excel. I do expect that eventually we'll be swapping out our multiple flatscreens for a pair of glasses we can carry in our pocket. (I just want to be able to work outside on the porch on a nice day.)
@@theterminaldave You're reading my mind! Stay tuned for my next glasses review which will show off a little bit of how head tracking and the projection looks through the lenses! *And based on your feedback I'll look to put together a Viture SpaceWalker video later down the line (probably in a month or so).
great review. i may have missed it but can you change the size of the screen so that it would be different when you watch a movie vs work on your phone/laptop?
Thanks so much for your comment! You didn't miss it! So if you use the SpaceWalker Windows or Mac apps, you can bring up multiple screens (like a virtual dual monitor or even widescreen) and then adjust the "distance" or size of the display, BUT, do keep in mind that it stays in your central vision, so you can't push the image/video to wherever you want because it will get cut off if that makes sense. Please stay tuned for a follow up video!
AYYY my fellow Sone! Depending on what kind of correction you need for your eyes (nearsighted/farsighted), the diopters built in (those dial things on top of the glasses) will adjust the focus of the displays so you can see without glasses -- mind you it won't focus everything you see (as in your peripheral vision will still be blurry) but the video playing will be in focus. Hope that helps and thanks for your comment (p.s.
Crazy that they didn't include the screen pinning function with the dock. It's right there, it's big and have all the space in the world for you to add the gyros needed.
Fair criticism. Thanks for your comment! That said, it seems its a major hardware limitation across all brands. Hence Xreal's need to deploy an additional device (The Beam / Beam Pro) just for that purpose it seems like..
I think the gyros *are* in there. But there isn’t any processing to adjust the display as you move your head. Thats what the beam/breakout boxes do. you don’t need the box with a laptop with custom software on, as thats taking the gyro input from the glasses and correcting the video as you move - but phones/steam deck can’t do that so they need the help of the additional box
@@MrKlawUK I believe you're correct, there is an IMU inside the glasses but that the companies have been having issues sending that data to the phones (or vice versa?) and so there still hasn't been a good solution outside of including another device. Thanks for your comment!
tell me which of the headsets is capable of mirroring it when connected via HDMI to my TV, but the main thing is that if I rotate my head the screen would hang in the middle and not follow me constantly, is this possible?
Hi there thanks for your question. Can you explain a little further? When you say "mirroring it ... to my TV" do you mean you want to cast whatever is in the glasses to your TV? Apologies I don't quite follow. If you're looking for a set of glasses that doesn't stay within the middle of the lens (or follow you), all of these glasses will do that by default, as that is the display area. If however you use something like Ambient mode, you can shrink the image to a corner with the Vitures. With Xreal you need the Beam or Beam Pro and then you can have it "stay in space".
Hello, Have you tried the neckband and especially the PS5 app to play remotely? I am hesitating in buying this neckband just for that. And going for the deck to plug my PS5 in HDMI is not ideal because of the cables. In the majority of the videos I have seen, the PS5 in on a living room table, just in front of them when they play 😂. Not the reality... In my case I would need a 5m USB C cable... Therefore my idea of using the neckband and the PS Remote play from my Sofa. But scared of latency. Thanks 😊.
Hi there, yes I have! I would like to invite you to check out my Neckband/accessories video and also the "wireless" set up video I recently published. It might just solve your PS5 question! ruclips.net/video/YMGm8LeRncw/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/eHXSD9KmDdc/видео.html Thanks for your comment and question!
While it's usable for that purpose (specifically with use of the SpaceWalker Windows App), I wouldn't exactly say it can replace the monitors. Reason is that the "pin" or the ability to hold the image in place isn't perfect and will drift with regular movement of your head (which I assume you'd be done with software development, when looking back and forth between monitors)... I will say though I think it can be done, and definitely portably. If you give me a specific location you might be working (like a hotel vs. a train vs. airplane), I might be able to go into more specifics. Thanks for your question!
I see a pair of Viture One's online for $200. I dont mind paying the $450 for the Pros, but is it really worth it in your opinion? People have me a bit afraid of "blurred edges" and Pros claim not to have any.
@raydiog honestly at $200, that's an absolute steal! Then what you can do is also try out the Pros at another time, and if you like those, use both with the mobile dock to share in the fun!
pro.viture.com/GAMERSGEN@@THETRUTHISOUTTHERE-m9v Ahhh... I understand how that goes. Not to sound like I'm just pushing a product, but you can also get 10% off if you use my link/code which will bring the LITE models down to $280 or so shipped (incl. tax). Or for the pro model, about $400 pre-tax (both on Amazon and their official site) currently. amzn.to/4bPiGLl pro.viture.com/GAMERSGEN The main difference between them other than the image is that the lite models don't have the dimming. Please let me know if you have questions! Thanks for your comments~!
Thanks for your question! The best way to describe it would be to take a pair of sunglasses and then strap a very tiny projector into it, that's what the image more or less looks like. You can see from the video what type of image quality can be produced (but truthfully it looks better than this in person). In terms of using it for gaming, you could look at it as being an external monitor yes, or rather, a primary monitor which replaces the use for your handheld or console. For productivity, some people have been known to use these as a secondary (or even tertiary) monitor, but that isn't without it's own challenges as the field of view (or viewing angle) is fixed in the center of the screen unless you use the desktop app, which isn't perfect. Hope this helps to clear some stuff up!
I just got a pair of RayNeo 2S, would you say that Viture Pros are better? I'm curious to try those out as well, since the 2S tends to look blurry at the edges for me.
@NarangetonMarze thanks for your question! Hardware wise they should be very similar as they use the same display technology. The advantages of the Viture Pros are in the diopter which will help with mild visual impairment and the ecosystem with accessory products like the newly announced Pro Neckband. As foe the blurriness, do you have astigmatism or require glasses? The new displays in the 2S shouldn't really be blurry anywhere from my experience.
Thanks for a review, I have a quesiton as I don't think I've seen it in other reviews, can you actually walk in these and perform some tasks such as kitchen cleaning ? Are they transparent when not displaying anything or only bottom part - what is your experience . Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply. Technically you can yes, but it will take up a majority of your central vision (think of it like someone holding up a phone in front of your face as you walk around)... BUT if you use "Ambient mode" either through their SpaceWalker app, or the Viture Neckband, you can shrink the image down so that it's a smaller rectangle that is still within that original space but you'll be able to see more of what's in front of you (think of it like a minimap in a video game or like a TV's picture in picture mode). When nothing is displayed, or if the video playing is entirely black, you'll just see through the lenses, which are slightly tinted, if you're in a space with a lot of ambient light, you may also see part of your chest/upper body as that's what will be reflecting light back onto the lenses. As for doing chores or watching videos while doing something else, it's definitely possible. I highlighted this briefly in my original Viture One reviews (which I invite you to watch), where I use them when walking my dog. Wearing them while doing the dishes or vacuuming in that context works well too. Thanks for your question and comment!
Excellent review! You showed and explained all the facets and differences among those glasses and did come out with a “winner”. My question is, after your last statement, is it better to wait and see if there will be better choices soon?
Thanks for your kind words and support! As for your question, I think if you want something now, are okay with the pricing, and want the full ecosystem, the Viture Pro lineup covers pretty much everything. That said, it's really easy to just FOMO and want the newest thing; the primary difference with the Xreal Air 2 Ultras is the front facing cameras which should allow for hand tracking and a more immersive experience, but as far as I know, those are at least $700 and will be highly dependent on developer support, which could be hit or miss -- that and they are also not sa standalone device and will still need to connect to your phone or another phone-like accessory. Thanks again for your comment!
Does this have image stabilization while walking or if the airplane hits some turbulence? Or even just to minimize movement when you slightly move your head?
Fantastic question. Technically no. None of these glasses have any kind of stabilization as the image is fixed to your head position -- the exception to that rule is when the glasses are somehow able to make use of 3DOF (such as in an app) to "fix" or "pin" the image to an area in space. Minimization (pushing the image to a corner, or shrinking it) is possible on these glasses with the android/iOS app and that may make the "jumpy image" less startling. For the 3DOF, there are devices from competitors like Xreal's XREAL Beam/Beam Pro that can fix/pin the image but you need that extra device for it to work (as in the glasses themselves are incapable of doing that). You can see my Beam review here: ruclips.net/video/kQIVNx4Eq8E/видео.html Thanks so much for the comment/question!
@@gamers-generationwhat about compared to Rokid's stabilization? ruclips.net/video/G49NgM-vLHo/видео.htmlsi=4J_bDAgo4_nuQlQk And so Virtue's Spacewalker app has nothing similar to XReal's Nebula sideview, smooth follow, and body anchor features?
Unfortunately the Xreal Beam Pro hasn't been released. Additionally, I do not believe it will work with anything outside of an Xreal device (probably only the Air 2s and not the Air 1s). Thanks for your comment!
@turnbasedtoddy7664 hi, thanks for your question. If you mean the Xreal Air 2 pros, these should be brighter and clearer as those use the older Sony MicroOLED displays as far as I know.
I've not personally noticed it but I know it's VERY dependent on what you're doing with the device and the shape of your face. My father for instance apparently has higher cheekbones/wider face that touches the temples of the glasses and he did complain of heat on the originals. I was also told a reason why >60hz refresh rate on the originals was not pursued over heat concerns.
@Ali-nj1tv hi there, great question. Technically I don't think there's a way to connect to your TV as TVs don't typically have video OUT. Instead of a V though you could also use a mini PC and technically even a media box like an Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, or Roku box. You'd just also need an adapter or bridge like the mobile dock to convert the signal. Thanks for your question!
I mean.. in someone else's hands? Probably... in mine? Definitely not good at all... But also not recommended to dive in them, unless you want to rebuy them again haha. Thanks for the amusing comment, you made my day!
Did you by chance try to connect the pros to a switch? I tried last night with the mobile dock, and got no connection. Please try it out and let me know your results please.
Thanks for your question. Unfortunately I can't test this right now as I sold my Switch. I do intend to get another one in the near future but could you describe to me what's happening? Are you connecting the short/small cable from the Mobile Dock into the Switch, and then connecting the glasses to the glasses port?
@@gamers-generation lol just my luck>> I emailed support to see what they think as well. So long story short, I used the original method (I'm a kickstarter backer) and used the docking station to connect to switch. It didn't work. I tried to just connect directly to switch and still nothing. Then I busted it my original xrs and it worked (via docking station). Knowing this, I just used that old connection cable and just attached it to the pros. Still nothing. I swapped back and forth between the old and new>> old worked and new didn't. So just confused honestly lol.
Any chance you can check to see if any type of “live dictate” app or function could work? I’d love to use something like this to be a running “teleprompter” transcribing speech for a hearing impaired friend.
Ayo! Great question. Just to clarify, is there a specific app you're looking at? As far as I can guess, the primary limitation would be the microphone being placed on the phone or connected device, so it'd need to be on the table/desk in order to properly capture the audio.
Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately no, the adapter is basically a passthrough which allows you to charge your device while also using the glasses; or if you have a pre-15 iPhone 15, allows the iPhone to work with the glasses.
do you know if these would work on desktop with a male hdmi to female usb c adapter? i want to avoid buying the pro dock if i can buy something cheaper
Hey there thanks for your question. If you mean to run a cable from your GPU out to then plug into your glasses, it'll have to support DP-alt mode. I can confirm that this GoFanco adapter works, but I haven't tested SpaceWalker with it yet: amzn.to/3Y9ziJV (affiliate link).
Unfortunately I don't have any means to test this, but the glasses are slightly tinted. They aren't polarized though as far as I can tell. Thanks for your question!
This is a really great question that unfortunately I can't answer. May I ask if you're playing the Blu Rays straight out of a Blu Ray player? in that case, you'd probably need to use some kind of adapter to convert the video signal to DisplayPort Alt mode. These glasses work using SBS (Side-By-Side) 3D, and I understand some 3D content is actually Anaglyph (the oldschool red/blue type), and Top/Bottom 3D, which I don't believe these glasses can convert. Thanks for your awesome question!
I have a question. I just won a bid on ebay original xreal air 1 for 150$ open box condition. Is it huge difference between them? Should i buy xreal air 1 or better to get viture pro? Thanks
Wow nice! There is a significant difference, no question, particularly in the brightness. Is it worth more than double the price or another $200+ dollars? That I can't say because it will depend on a number of factors like how often you'll use them, where you'll use them, your financial situation, and so on. Thanks so much for your comment and question!
If you mean the Xreal Air 2s/2 Pros, unfortunately I don't have them so I can only judge based on my experience with the XREAL Air 1s and the spec sheet. That said, these should be significantly brighter than the Xreal Air 2s while also including the diopters (for eyeglass wearers) and IMO have a superior app/support system. I enjoyed my time with my Air 1s, but I am not a fan of the Xreal Beam. Thanks for your comment!
@@gamers-generation I got the Xreal Air 2 Pro, I use them daily, and of course if these are really better for a non-glasses users I would be down. But np bro, and yeah the Beam really sucks, overheats and has alot of lack.
@@jasonmeister6988 Thanks for your quick reply! Yeah unfortunately I haven't tested the 2s first hand. My understanding though is they're marginally better brightness wise (not FOV) vs. the Air 1s (which I have). That said, it probably depends a lot on what your use case is. Do you use them primarily with your phone? A handheld? A laptop?
@@gamers-generation Yes true, I use them primarily with my SteamDeck for games and on my phone for RUclips/Movies. I tried them with my PC, but the corners are always blurry and hurt my eyes, so there is no way I can use the Xreal 2 for working/office or even surfing. Games and Movies are great tho.
Hi, thanks for your question! They'll work with any bluetooth earbuds/airpods as long as your phone connects to them (since its your phone that will play the audio).
Hi, thanks for your comment! The audio comes from built in speakers on the Glasses' temples or glasses' legs. I think the audio sounds great personally, but of course someone could also pair earbuds/airpods to their phone or other device if they want to do that.
I just received mine, and I have to say I’m initially disappointed. The image is just too low in the field of view, with the bottom edge blurry as it’s right on the edge of the mirror (and sometime cut off unless you push the glasses right up against your eyeballs). The built in speakers are really loud for anyone sitting near you, making these very antisocial to use in public. There’s no built-in physical volume control and, when you’re connected to an Apple device, the volume is fixed, your Apple device’s volume control has no effect. If you want to use them with an iPhone, and additional $60 adapter is mandatory, otherwise you just get a static picture and can’t even adjust the in-app volume.
Hi there thanks for your comment. Have you tried using the other nosepads or adjusting the diopters? Also does tapping the dimming button twice not switch to volume controls for you? As for the adapter, unfortunately this is a result of the lightning port if you're not an iPhone 15 user.
That's definitely some aggressive pricing, though I'll say from my biased perspective is that you're paying into a better eco system (at least right now) with the Vitures. Currently on Viture's website if you use my affiliate code you can get the Viture Lites for $280 after tax, and it has the add benefit of the diopters.
@@gamers-generation oh wow $280 is an amazing deal. I originally got the viture llites and Xreal air 4 weeks ago. Xreal for $220 after tax and viture for $330 after tax. The viture were sharper image and do feel a little better quality. The Xreal had a bigger screen and was $100+ cheaper. Then possibly the biggest factor for why I kept the Xreal is because they are wider. I have a wide head and they are more comfortable. Eco system wise I don’t need anything but my steam deck and the glasses. I do think I might get the viture pro dock so I can use two glasses at once in case I get my girlfriend a pair. But the neck band, xreal beam, etc. it’s not for me.
Has anyone tried 3d gaming with these? Like the old school monitors and nvidia vision type stuff? I know theres limited support with direct x (especially 12) but that would be a pretty sweet function.
Sorry for the late response. If I'm not mistaken, there are definitely a few games that could take advantage (like Shadow of the Tomb Raider), and there were posts on reddit about it, but I've not tried this myself. Thanks for the comment!
There are way too many things here that should have been mentioned. The fact that: 1. you need a mobile dock for pretty much everything except a laptop or the Steam Deck. 2. xreal allows to use cool apps like real time translation which is great when travelling. 3. the price is between 2-3x the competition and doesn't have all their competitors features even. I really wanted to get a Viture if not only for the embedded eye sight correction but without the opportunity to test such an expensive product its hard to bite the bullet.
Thanks for your comment. Respectfully, I disagree with at least some of your points. 1. You don't "need a mobile dock for pretty much everything", functionally, they are the same as other XR Glasses on the market; the differences you described in your other points I'd argue are app and not hardware related. As such, you can use these glasses with the same devices that are supported by Xreal glasses (any phone supporting DisplayPort Alt-mode over USB-C). 2. SpaceWalker also allows you to use other apps, though admittedly it's been some time since I tested Nebula. That said, you can still just mirror your output with any (not just Viture) glasses, again on a supported phone. 3. Where do you live? These are not 2-3x the price in the US. While they are more expensive (around $400 at time of this comment), they are within ballpark range of the Air 2 Pros (currently $399, Rokid Max ($370), and RayNeo Air2s ($370). And, if I'm not mistaken, the Viture Pros and the RayNeo Air2s are the only current glasses that have the newer Sony microOLED displays, with greater brightness and clarity. It should also be pointed out that the Pro Mobile dock works with all of these glasses, so it doesn't matter which brand you choose in that context.
No pinning and that really dumb neckband thing, it's a no from me maybe if those things ate improve will reconsider. But for now a, yeah it's a big fat No!
Thanks for your honest comment! Truthfully while the neckband looks kind of out there, it's a more elegant and functional designs vs. Say the xreal Beam IMO. As for the pinning, you can still sort of get it to work on the originals and pinning (though there is intermittent drift) works when on PC (and I believe MacOS)
@@gamers-generation yeah I would rather slip something into my pocket than wear that thingy around my neck. But each too their own. Also it's about power, if you know what I mean.
@@pooheadlou To each their own is fair, but the thermal design of the Beam is not good, even if you're okay with slipping it into your pocket. Thanks again for your comments!
@@pooheadlou Without having first hand experience I can only judge based on the materials and other reviews I've seen... that said, the specs are underwhelming, despite a $200 price tag (I know that's not even that outrageous). Chipset aside, it doesn't have DP-alt in, so you can't pass through 3DOF like you can with the original Beam so... there's that. It almost feels like it could have been a dedicated phone app. What do you think?
No, just no. This is a disgusting joke of a product. The screen doesnt look large. It's like a few inches of a tiny box in a sea of glasses and empty space. I don't know if VR ruined my expectations here or not. I obviously expected to see outside the frames and such...but the surface area of the lenses and how much projected image covers that area?? Horrible. These shouldn't even be a product. I don't know how they are selling them.
Sorry but have you tried them? I explained in another video that it depends on how far you are away from a wall or occluding object. If you're sitting facing a wall about a foot away then yes it's going to look tiny, if a wall is 12ft away from you though it will look like 135" or so.
As far as I know, they do "support HDR" but it's kind of a complicated thing. It's not HDR10/10+, HDR400+, or DolbyVision, so the HDR content will just be converted, and the displays won't appear as "HDR supported" in the settings... sorry I don't have a more conclusive answer.
@@nternalPractice Thanks for clarifying! The responses I saw on the Discord were mixed, glad you got that cleared up! That said, the content still looks amazing even SDR!
HDR content is supported, but please note that the glasses are not an HDR display. They will convert HDR to 8-bit, which may cause issues depending on the device. We have tested this on laptops and phones, and they work well. We may also add 8-bit with dithering support on our Pro Neckband.
Thank you for your thoughtful review - we're glad VITURE Pro was such a significant step up for you and hope you'll continue to enjoy them! 😎
Thank you! Significant is the right word, I should have said that myself!
This was the review that sold me. Now to find out where the money is coming from lol

Would this be good for coding?
@@MysterCannabis Hi, thanks for the comment! I think if you're looking for a big screen to look at some code, then yes it could do that if say you set the glasses to an external display, or you're using a SpaceWalker compatible device).
Really appreciated the side-by-side comparison with the original. TY!
Thank YOU for your comment and for watching!
We look forward to it - we know you'll love it!
Thanks so much for your honest input. I understand exactly what you mean -- come November, your face and nose are gonna be sittin' pretty!
So I think you straight up lied when you say you tried them or tried them for 30 seconds.
almost November buddy !
Thank you bro, LFG!!!!!!!!!!11!!!111!!!1!1!!!
@@19CD91 I wish I could love your comment more. Most based comment I've read all day. Thank you!
Thanks for your detailed question.
thanks for the video, nice review!
Thanks fam!
By biggest gripe is the comfort, they just don’t sit as nice as the xreal air 2 pros
I am probably not the right audience for those glasses though.. 😅
I can't imagine myself wearing those since I already have bad eyesight and I am very unsure if I would enjoy those..😂

Bye Bye Bye!

@@theterminaldave You're reading my mind! @@gamers-generation Sounds good. I subbed.
great review. i may have missed it but can you change the size of the screen so that it would be different when you watch a movie vs work on your phone/laptop?
Thanks so much for your comment! You didn't miss it! So if you use the SpaceWalker Windows or Mac apps, you can bring up multiple screens (like a virtual dual monitor or even widescreen) and then adjust the "distance" or size of the display, BUT, do keep in mind that it stays in your central vision, so you can't push the image/video to wherever you want because it will get cut off if that makes sense. Please stay tuned for a follow up video!
loving all them SNSD clips in the video lol. My question is, for people who wears glasses, do we need some kind of prescription lens to use this?
@@gamers-generation I just want to connect my camera via HDMI and shoot with it but I need the picture to freeze in mid-air
Hello,
Have you tried the neckband and especially the PS5 app to play remotely? I am hesitating in buying this neckband just for that. And going for the deck to plug my PS5 in HDMI is not ideal because of the cables. In the majority of the videos I have seen, the PS5 in on a living room table, just in front of them when they play 😂. Not the reality... In my case I would need a 5m USB C cable... Therefore my idea of using the neckband and the PS Remote play from my Sofa. But scared of latency. Thanks 😊.

Can it replace monitors for software development? I'm considering getting this so I can work anywhere.
Did really Viture one video quality is so much more washout then pros? When you compared side to side that deadpool video.
It is yes. If you don't compare side by side, the One's still look great, but the Pros are that much clearer and brighter.

So what is it? A display like an external monitor? Can i use it as a gps or something? Looks like its advertised as a gaming monitor hence the 120hz
@@gamers-generation wow thank you for your comprehensive answer! Nice day to you sir!

You can see my Beam review here:

Unfortunately the Xreal Beam Pro hasn't been released. Additionally, I do not believe it will work with anything outside of an Xreal device (probably only the Air 2s and not the Air 1s). Thanks for your comment!
How do these compare to the XR air Pro 2?
@turnbasedtoddy7664 hi, thanks for your question. If you mean the Xreal Air 2 pros, these should be brighter and clearer as those use the older Sony MicroOLED displays as far as I know.
Doesn't this device get too hot when used for long periods of time?
I've not personally noticed it but I know it's VERY dependent on what you're doing with the device and the shape of your face. My father for instance apparently has higher cheekbones/wider face that touches the temples of the glasses and he did complain of heat on the originals. I was also told a reason why >60hz refresh rate on the originals was not pursued over heat concerns.
is this possible to connect with tv to watch with glasses without a tablet or mobile?
@Ali-nj1tv hi there, great question. Technically I don't think there's a way to connect to your TV as TVs don't typically have video OUT. Instead of a V though you could also use a mini PC and technically even a media box like an Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, or Roku box. You'd just also need an adapter or bridge like the mobile dock to convert the signal. Thanks for your question!
Is it as good as the mine stratagem or the airburst launcher, can you Dive in them 😂

I’d be interested in using Apple’s live transcribe function

Can you get the Pin mode by purchasing the USB C XR charging accessory?
Hi, thanks for your comment. Unfortunately no, the adapter is basically a passthrough which allows you to charge your device while also using the glasses; or if you have a pre-15 iPhone 15, allows the iPhone to work with the glasses.
Pin mode is available in Spacewalker, no adapters needed for Android, and XR adapter is for enabling pin mode on iPhone 15 series.
What about blurry edges ?
I didn't notice much on the originals, and whatever chromatic aberration there was, also seems reduced. Thanks for your question!

Unfortunately I don't have any means to test this, but the glasses are slightly tinted. They aren't polarized though as far as I can tell. Thanks for your question!
What I want to know is will this glasses play my 3D blu ray content ?
This is a really great question that unfortunately I can't answer. May I ask if you're playing the Blu Rays straight out of a Blu Ray player? in that case, you'd probably need to use some kind of adapter to convert the video signal to DisplayPort Alt mode. These glasses work using SBS (Side-By-Side) 3D, and I understand some 3D content is actually Anaglyph (the oldschool red/blue type), and Top/Bottom 3D, which I don't believe these glasses can convert. Thanks for your awesome question!
removing 3dof is a deal breaker
I can understand that sentiment, which is why I mentioned it during the video. I do hope it returns. Thanks for your comment!
So how is it compared to the Xreal?

@@gamers-generation Yes true, I use them primarily with my SteamDeck for games and on my phone for RUclips/Movies. Can i use my earpuds with it together?
Hi, thanks for your question! They'll work with any bluetooth earbuds/airpods as long as your phone connects to them (since its your phone that will play the audio).
What about the audio? Where does the sound come from? Do we need separate headphones?
Xreal air goes on sale for $200. That’s less than half the cost of most of the competition
Almost $500 is way to much.
It's basically the going cost of these things.. but I won't disagree that it's a lot. Thanks for your comment!
There are way too many things here that should have been mentioned. The fact that:
1. you need a mobile dock for pretty much everything except a laptop or the Steam Deck.
2. xreal allows to use cool apps like real time translation which is great when travelling.
3. the price is between 2-3x the competition and doesn't have all their competitors features even.
@@gamers-generation What do you think of the new beam? Just curious.
Your biased😂
You mis-spelled "based" ;) Thanks for the comment!
Sounds like you're using Ai to speak. Sounds robotic
@TheBigb1973 That's why I'm your friendly neighborhood AI! Thaaaaanks for watching!
Do the Viture Pro XRs support HDR?
As far as I know, they do "support HDR" but it's kind of a complicated thing. It's not HDR10/10+, HDR400+, or DolbyVision, so the HDR content will just be converted, and the displays won't appear as "HDR supported" in the settings... sorry I don't have a more conclusive answer.
@@gamers-generation Actually I contacted Viture directly and no, the PRO XRs' do NOT support HDR.
