- JAK STAT Signaling Pathway Lesson: Ligands, Receptors, and Importance in Disease.
Hey guys! In this lesson, you will learn the JAK STAT signaling pathway, the ligands that activate the pathway, the cell surface receptors involved in the pathway, and the functions of JAK and STAT in the pathway. You will also learn about how the JAK-STAT signaling pathway is involved in different types of cancer and polycythemia vera.

your explanation made a very complex biochemical process a little easier to digest. Thank you!
wonderful explanation - easy to understand this complicated pathway!
Thank you. Very good presentation and explanation.
Before Janus Kinase, JAK would stand as: "Just Another Kinase"
@Andrew Wilks Cooooool!!!
J silent 😂
@@CosmicCitiZenOfficial cool
Lovely way to explain. Thanks
Loved the T and T tip :)
very good explanation..
Thank you..!✌️💞
4:53 you mention STAT homodimers and heterodimers then focus only on homodimers. Is it only the homodimers that enter the nucleus and work as transcription factors? Or can the heterodimers do this as well? Thank you for the fantastic video!
You re my hero bro
Hey JJ, you probably get this a lot so I hope you don't my asking, I was wondering why you stopped making JJBartleyMusic videos, and if you have any intentions on continuing to make more videos in the future? Your piano tutorials were immensely helpful, and are greatly missed!
Thank you!
Thank you
thank you, this video is easy to understand :)
Thanks
Thanks dude
EXCELENT!
thank you best
Is the JAK-Stat Pathway related to FGF21?
Might be a silly question but is there a difference between receptor tyrosine kinases and tyrosine kinase-associated receptors? Or are they the same thing? Thank you
I know this is a long shot but you can watch Dr Najeebs lecture on these pathways
As far as I can remember there is a cross-activation between the insulin and the insulin-pathway and the JAK/STAT.
Thank u

good
So helpful, thankyou.
What about growth hormone?
You forgot the TLR4
do I detect just a hint of Irish accent in your voice ?
