Same sence of humor from what I remember when we were kids. I lived around the block f/him. He's done really well, an accomplished musician in demand. I know he is a studio musician but the scope of his work I've heard but never realized, now rediscovering it on the net.50yrs later. Enjoying He's Good. isn't he!!🎼🎺
I know this comment is late but he told me a couple of days ago that he uses the spit valve as an “octave key” bc it helped get out certain notes better
If it's "easy" for him now, rest assured, it wasn't always. His current level of expertise (talent) is from thousands of hours and years of hard work and systematic practice. I think he is not only to be admired for his level of expertise, but even more so for all the years of hard work that he was willing to do to get here! Some of us will never achieve this level, not because we are untalented, but because we're not willing to work this hard.
@@CraigSchweitzerCNIM actually, i just had a “master class” with him and he said he was able to play double c at 12. He said it was pretty natural for him

3:47 is when it starts
Insane. At 3:57 he does that double g one handed- he was adjusting his tuning slide?! Shows how easy it is for him
I just met him in person earlier today, and it only gets better. He hits double cs like they weren't even any different.

7:27 nod to Arturo Sandoval “A Night in Tunisia” solo?
Definetely
I THOUGHT so 😆. I was rewinding it to make sure I heard it correctly. Then I read this comment
I love that cadenza
It's got hits of Sandavols cadenza in Night in Tunisia! Wicked good!
Noah Roberts I feel like it’s a cadenzas job to feel like a night in Tunisia 😂
... and on top of a Wind Orchestra. Nuts...
I remember seeing wayne live back in 2016 at the banff centre. We sat in the 3rd row and I honestly thought my eardrums were gonna burst.
one of the greatest ever! Also, the band sounds terrific too...
6:21 😶
