I went through this 3 years ago with a narc who was single but treated me like I was just a side chick, and only wanted to sleep with me at regular intervals of his choosing. He never introduced me to anyone he knew, kept me a secret, and didn't miss me, text me or call me during the week. Then, he started implying that I was stupid, inept and beneath him. It was so insidious I didn't know it was happening. Then he dumped me. He tried to leave the possibility of getting a fuck from me every now and again though. I said no, fuck you. Never ever heard from the c*nt again. Then I met the love of my life 7 months after I was discarded. The narc never tried to hoover me. You WILL get over the hurt and pain, and you'll see what a train wreck this person actually is. You'll realise how lucky you are that they're gone. 💜

Man, I wish I had found this earlier in life. I have a 9 year old daughter with a narcisist. Every day I look forward to the day either my daughter realizes what her mother is or post school.
My ex left me a year ago but then strung me along for 6 months, christmas eve she asked me to olan a date for us so i did. She stood me up and ive never heard from her since. I dont even know what i did for her to leave. We lived together for 4 years, im still absoloutely heartbroken, i cant date other people, i havnt slept in our bed since she left. 2 weeks ago her friend called me off a blocked number and told me shes with this guy now. I looked it up and they were on holiday. This was a guy who ive met and she told me her friend fancied him and he was part of their friendship group. Im destroyed man. I dont know how im ever gonna recover from this. Inhad accepted everything but seeing her with him knowing they were talking the whole way through our relationship. Its ruined the last good thing i had of us. Our memories. Im so broken man i wish she would of just spoke to me and told me she lost feelings or something. She was cheating on me for the whole time man. She was such a sweetheart man but i dont even know who she is anymore. She gaslit me into thinking it was all my fault. The last time we spoke about things she said that i wasnt giving her the attention she needed so thats why she cheated. She literally text me saying ‘sorry it hurt you, but im not sorry for doing it’ what the hell man. I really dont even knkw who she is anymore. All of this was so shocking for me, everyone assumed we would be together forever because of how we were so comfortable with each other. I love her still but what do i do.

I'm one of those guys who either attracts narc women or vice versa. My wife simply disappeared one morning, that took some work on my part to get through. Then another narc chick and the last one, just crazy as hell and now I have little desire to risk it again. It will take time but betrayal by a loved one is probably up there with the worst pains a person will go through.

She keeps trying to reach out and i have to keep rejecting her. Time heals man it just takes a lot of it. Its hard because i still love her, but i actually have been healing and i realised that it was her who lost me in the end. She realised my love was uncondiotional but its much too late now. I havnt been dating anyone, im not ready yet, but ive been working on myself, i make 100k plus a year now, i have my own flat, just bought a bmw x4 and im doing the best ever.

It’s been 2 years and I haven’t heard a peep from my narc ex after being discarded. They left to teach me a lesson. I been in no contact over 2 years. I don’t believe all come back because they know they will be rejected and want to stay in control. I assume they living the best life.
Thank you! My sister discarded me for 16 months, but dropped hooks now and then to remind me she is devaluing me. I recently got a text that said, “I want my sister back” with an invitation to chat about the issues, but of course the issue of her behavior of discarding me was not on the table. During the 16 months, my head cleared and I finally saw after 40 years that I am ok. I’m actually healthier away from her. I didn’t have to play the role she wants and the role I trapped myself in our entire relationship. She never thought that I wouldn’t come back (grateful) after discarding me for over a year. I feel… relief. I also feel grief that I didn’t respect myself sooner. But finally… finally I don’t feel guilt for caring for myself.
How do you know it’s a final discard? I’ve never been in a narcissist relationship but I was amazed how nasty she was when we had a break up phone call. She tried to hurt me before hanging up on me and screaming at me. So bizarre.
