I'm a level 78 Adele who just started playing with their gf a few days ago because I have severe MapleStory nostalgia and!!! ngl your guide kinda terrified me for what I'm about to approach regarding all the different grinds present in MS for gear and stuff BUT! It was a very helpful video especially because beyond Coppersan it's kinda hard to find videos like this. Thank you!
I'm heavily considering returning to Maplestory to see if it can be something fun to do occasionally. I played starting 5th anniversary half a year before big bang and for a year or two after. I just don't know if I can bring myself to do it with almost 12-13 years of changes.

Having a hard time choosing a main... Debating between, NW, Shadower, or Bishop. I like double jump and mobile classes while also being lazy. But Bishop seems to be seeked out the most and I just want to play with people.
I would say Bishop has very lazy mobbing and will always be brought into parties. They also do ok damage all things considered! But NW or Shad are also good all around. I would pick whatever one you like the aesthetic of most since you'll be staring at it a while.
NW and Shadower are both meta characters. They can be fun to play, but if you're only considering them because they are meta, you could find yourself burning out before long. Pick whatever you enjoy playing as your main and you'll be far better off.
I’m not sure who to main and should I swap to the Hyperion server? I’ve heard everybody saying it’s gonna die relatively soon after it releases and I’m concerned id waste my time on it
If you're above level 200 and find yourself running out of 2x coupons I would say it's definitely worth running. You only need to run once a week and if you're in the top 70% you'll be able to buy 5 30 minute 2x coupons or epic potential scroll, etc. Not sure what floor number that is but probably around floor 30-40? Thanks for the comment. Funnily enough I had this in the guide but took it out since it was getting too long haha. What quest are you having trouble with? Usually you can either use the lightbulb tab on the left to complete it or just travel back to the quest giver using a tele rock. Some quests can be obtuse with where you need to go as well.
Well... glad I watched this before I sank too many hours into this game. I was fine with everything up until the star system. You say it's not that bad but it really is. I refuse to interact with, let alone rely on, systems like that for progression. Why am I having to risk my gear not only leveling down but also getting destroyed? I could see it on non ironman servers since people can sell and trade gear making it not as bad but on these ironman servers that destruction system should be removed. At least then I could think about it but this video convinced me that this game isn't worth my time if it's insistent on wasting it like this.
Honestly the destruction mechanic isn't reached until you are deep endgame. It used to be far worse and has since been nerfed. I agree that it's an annoying mechanic, but you should have duplicates before even attempting to enhance through the destruction mechanic.
@@bladerain4773 My issue is that you HAVE to take part in it. I have notorious luck. My luck is either Jackpot at the casino or duck dieing mid flight with a tail wind and plummeting down to hit me square in the head snapping my neck. There seems to be no in between for me. So any game that has pure luck mechanics like this is a no go for me.
@ryuknightofflame all I have to say is destruction doesn't even take place until you are pushing your gear to the limit. I have a level 233 character and haven't even seen the chance of destruction pop up. You can also pay extra to prevent that from occurring, which everyone does. You're talking days of playtime per character without that being an issue. If you do decide to give it a try, maybe I'll see you on reboot hyperion.
Your information on transfer hammer is inaccurate. You can transfer any item as long as they have a star. Even with 1 star. At level 100 you only have 8 stars not 12 stars...

It's really hard to say either way tbh. If you really wanted to be sure I'd just pick Kronos.
