Vipra Khalnayak swastika holds a different meaning in the west. It was a symbol commonly used by/to promote Hitler during his time of power. Long story short; it's a nazi sign (in the west)

The WW2 happened 70 years ago, while Buddhism and Hinduism has had that symbol for over 1000 of years.

It's not surprising that after only 70 year of the most brutal war ever, it's still associated with hitler. And it's still commonly used by nazi's. The way the swastika is drawn (with decorated edges, etc.) doesn't make much difference (not here in the west). There is no official way to draw a 'nazi' swastika, since it's still a symbol that got taken from someone else's religion/culture and put up with a new meaning behind it. They didn't create their own version of a swastika.

I read a story about that first woman. The face tattoo was a part of a gang initiation. When her mugshot went viral it made her rock bottom even more painful. She’s out of jail, in recovery and is having her face tattoos and gang tattoos lasered off.
All true. She's really turned her life around.
Good on her for getting in recovery but I don't get a face tattoo as a gang symbol, isn't that just advertising your affiliation to the police

@@andrewrivera1054 Being in a gang isn't something people hide. Hence why many gangs have colors, gang tattoos or various other things that represent what gang they are in. Being gang affiliated for most people gives them a sense of pride. You have to go through hell to get in, so you would want people to know that you are part of whatever gang you are with.

I actually like how compassionate some of these tattoo artists are. The decisions you make reveals hurt in you. People are messed up.
I have to wonder how many of these tats were voluntary.
It also stuck me how “dead” the eyes looked on so many of them. Most pictures show some life in the eyes...but many of these were just empty. Or worse...they looked broken.

I seem to remember reading once that she tattooed herself the way she did to show that the modern beauty standards don't matter
